IIT Mandi MTech Highlights & Eligibility 2024
IIT Mandi offers two-year MTech courses in nearly 10 specialisations. The course is divided into four semesters. Some of the popular MTech specialisations offered are Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, VLSI, Structural Engineering, etc. Admission to MTech at IIT Mandi is through GATE followed by COAP counselling. To get a seat at IIT Mandi for BSc programme, candidates must apply for and appear for the JEE Main exam followed by the JEE Advanced exam. The selected candidates are further required to appear for the JoSAA counselling.
Aspirants with a valid bachelor’s degree in the relevant specialisation are eligible to apply for the PG course. Admission to M.Tech at IIT Mandi is based on merit in GATE followed by COAP counselling. Candidates with a score equal to more than the cutoff become eligible to participate in the counselling round. Step 3: IIT Mandi BSc Cutoff list, Counselling and Admission Confirmation
The cutoff is then released by the counselling body. As per the merit list, candidates are required to appear for the JoSAA Counselling for seat allotment. Finally, candidates and must pay the IIT Mandi BSc admission fee to confirm their seats.
IIT Mandi BSc seats are alloted to the selected candidates based on rank and score obtained by them in the JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams. The total seat intake for the BSc Chemical Sciences programme offered at IIT Mandi is 30.

IIT Mandi BTech registrations start with the release of JEE Main application forms. The registrations for JEE session one goes on from Oct till Nov, a year prior to the admission session. While the registrations for session two are carried out in February. Candidates who pass JEE Mains need to apply

Candidates taking admission in a BTech course of IIT Mandi need to pay a tuition fee of INR 8.1 lakh. The total fee include other components as well, such as hostel fee of INR 2.46 lakh. Additionally, the one-time fee is INR 17,000 and other fees is INR 3,000. The total fee sums up to INR 10.74 lakh
