The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech/PhD courses will be conducted on Feb 7, Feb 8, Feb 14, and Feb 15, 2026.
A few more updates are given below:
- The JEE Advanced 2026 application form is expected to be released in April 2026, and the examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 session 1 admit cards are available for IIT Mandi admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses. The admit card is available for students who will appear on Jan 28 and Jan 29, 2026.
- The IIT JAM 2026 admit cards can now be downloaded from the official portal for admission to the MSc course. Further, the IIT JAM exam 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on Feb 15, 2026.

Based on the Round 1 seat allotment, the BTech cutoff scores ranged between 2869 and, 15119 for the General AII India category students. For last year, the closing rank for Integrated B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Bioengineering was 15216 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIT Mandi - Indian Institute of Technology.
The total tuition fee for BTech is INR 8 lakh. This information is from official sanctioning body and can change. In addition, the total course fee will be higher as it will include other components such as admission fee, caution money deposit, hostel charges (if applicable), etc., as well. You also have to pay for hostel fee and one-time payable charges of INR 22,000.
MA fees is INR 20,000. Candidates opting for hostel facilities will have to pay charges up to INR 88,000. This fee is calculated as per the first year/semester fees and hence the actual fee may vary.
For MTech, candidates need to visit the official website of GATE to register online. The application fee for male students is INR 1,700, and INR 850 for female students.

IIT Mandi BTech admission is entirely entrance-based. Aspirants need to appear for the JEE Main exam, secure a valid rank and become eligible for JEE Advanced exam. Candidates who secure a valid rank in JEE Advanced need to participate in JoSAA Counselling for seat allotment. Additionally, rank and cut-off of JEE Advanced score decide the admission status of a student.

IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE 2024 exam on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. The GATE 2024 application form was released on 24th August 2024 on the official website at gate.iisc.ac.in.
