Admission to IIT Tirupati is granted based on valid entrance scores. Therefore, candidates must secure valid scores in the accepted entrance exams such as JEE Main/ JEE Advanced/ GATE or equivalent. IIT Tirupati MTech course admission is entrance-based. However, IIT Tirupati admissions is a muti-step process. Aspirants willing to apply to IIT Tirupati for MTech are required to register at Common Offer Acceptance Portal (https://coap.iitb.ac.in) and a COAP registration number is mandatory for filling out the application form on the IIT Tirupati application portal. Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech at IIT Tirupati are required to meet with the minimum eligibility criteria (required for the course) and also have a valid score in the GATE exam. To be eligible, candidates must have one of the following:
- Completed their BE/ BTech/ BSc (Eng) with at least 60% aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or 6.0 CPI (5.5 in case of SC/ST/PWD) out of 10 OR
- a first-class specified by the university OR
- BTech degree holders from any of the IITs with a minimum CPI of 8.0 will be directly admitted to M.Tech programme (under Teaching Assistants position through a written test/ or an Interview).
JEE Advanced 2026 result will be out in June 2026.
Candidates can check and download the JEE Advanced 2026 scorecard under their respective login on jeeadv. ac. in. To Download JEE Advanced 2026 scorecard, candidates have to use 7-digit roll number, date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format, and the 10-digit phone number that they used while registering for JEE (Advanced).
Also, category-wise All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates will be available through the JEE Advanced 2026 online portal after the results are declared. Text messages will also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers.
Only those candidates who will secure minimum marks in JEE Advanced 2026, as prescribed by the IITs will be included in the AIR list for JoSAA counselling and IIT admissions. Allotment of seats will be solely based on the category-wise All India Rank in the JEE Advanced 2026.
