NIT Meghalaya MTech is a two-year PG-level programme. It is a full-time programme for BTech passed out candidates. This programme is spread across various specialisations, including Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. All these courses are offered for a duration of two years.
Admission to NIT Meghalaya MTech courses is granted based on GATE scores followed by CCMT counselling. If seats are left vacant, the institute conducts its own entrance test, and interview process. Moreover, the admission is only possible when candidates meet the eligibility criteria.

NIT Meghalaya doesn't have any direct admissionn option. To apply in the PG courses at NIT Meghalaya candiates must have valid national level entrance scores and participate in the counselling process. However, for the PhD and sponsored courses, candidates can apply via the NIT Meghalaya's official website and appear for the PI/written test.

The NIT Meghalaya GATE Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1. The Cutoff scores for various M.Tech courses ranged between 352 and 492, for the General AI category candidates. The Cutoff score of CSE, the most competitive course, stood at 492. Therefore, candidates with the Cutoff score of 500 can get M.Tech in CSE at NIT Meghalaya.

The application process varies from course to course.The application process of BTech, MTech, and MSc is done via the official website of JoSAA, GATE, and JAM respectively. As for the PhD programme, candidates must apply via the NIT Meghalay's official website by filling the online appplication form.
The total tuition fee for the MTech programme at NIT Meghalaya is INR 69,500- INR 3.8 lakh, The fee structure mentioned doesn’t include hostel fee. Further, the fee structure is for general category. You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.
