IIT Tirupati is good for BTech. The college is ranked 61 under the Engineering category by the NIRF 2024. IIT Tirupati admission to all BTech courses is subject to a valid score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams. The candidates can go through JEE Main  question papers and JEE Main result to figure out the difficulty level of this exam. The highest and average package offered to BTech CSE students during IIT Tirupati placements in 2024 stood at INR 41.64 LPA and INR 10.57 LPA, respectively. 

IIT Tirupati offers MTech for two-years at the PG level. Admission to this programme is subject to a valid GATE score followed by COAP Counselling. The specialisations available under MTech include Civil & Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical Engineering. IIT Tirupati accepts JEE Advanced for admission into BTech courses. The cut-off for JEE Advanced is released in the form of Cutoff ranks. The number of seats available is directly propotionate to Cutoff ranks. the trend observed indicates that as the number of students appearing increases, the closing ranks also increase. Looking at the Cutoff ranks for this year, the numbers showed that the number of seats have increased in comparison to the last year, as the Cutoff ranks have also increased. This also indicates that the competition has declined. Looking at the Cutoff ranks fot the past three years, the competition has been fluctuating. This also indicates that the competition has been fluctuating for the past 3 years. IIT Roorkee announced the GATE 2025 result on March 19, 2025. To check the result, candidates will need to enter their GATE enrollment ID, registered email ID, and date of birth. The GATE exam is very prestigious among engineering and Science graduates. It is conducted every year by one of the IITs among the nine IITs. In 2024, IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE exam. The exam also opens various opportunities for engineering and Science graduates to work in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and in the field of research. The closing cutoff of IIT Tirupati for MSc programme via IIT Jam stood between 229 and 840 for different specialisations. Chemistry turned out to be the mosr competitive specialisation among all of the branches offered here.

Out of all the BTech specialisations offered by IIT Tirupati, Computer Science and Engineering has the most competitive cutoff in Round 6 of 2022 compared to the rest. Electrical Engineering follows this branch of Engineering. With respect to the placements, companies, such as Adobe, Microsoft, Amazon, Sprinkler and Salesforce have been hiring students of CSE. As per the verified students' reviews on Shiksha, approximately 95% of the students receive placement opportunities every year and the average package for this specialisation ranges between INR 20 LPA and INR 24 LPA. Hence, IIT Tirupati can be considered a decent option for CSE.

IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE 2024 exam on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. The GATE 2024 application form was released on 24th August 2024 on the official website at gate.iisc.ac.in. The organising institute for GATE 2024 was IISc Bangalore. The exam was conducted online as a computer-based test for 29 papers. Candidates had to solve 65 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours). IIT Tirupati JAM Cutoff 2024 has been concluded for MSc admissions, wherein the Cutoff was released for MSc in Mathematics and Statistics, MSc in Chemistry and MSc in Physics. If the student falls under the General AI Category, with the IIT JAM Cutoff rank of 750, he/she can get admission into MSc in Mathematics and Statistics and MSc in Chemistry, during the Last-round. The last-round closing ranks for MSc in M&S was 229 and for MSc in Chemistry was 727.

According to students of BTech Chemical Engineering (batch of 2025), placements for the Chemical branch was not that high. Further, the lowest and the highest package offered during IIT Tirupati Chemical Engineering placements in 2023 stood at INR 5 LPA and INR 40 LPA, respectively. Further, as per the CSE student review, the average package offered during IIT Tirupati placements is around INR 9 LPA. Some students are also of the view that IIT Tirupati is not great in terms of placements but good for higher studies.

The modes of Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati admission are online & offline. Admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate, & Ph.D. courses is based on merit & various entrance examination scores. At the undergraduate level, the college offers four-year BTech courses to students. At the postgraduate level, the college offers two-year MSc, MTech, & various other courses to students. IIT Tirupati releases 6 rounds of JEE Advanced cutoffs for BTech admission. The cutoffs are released on rolling basis,and the seats get filled on first come first served basis. The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 13974 and closing rank was 16658. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to B.Tech. in Civil Engineering in IIT Tirupati is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.
