IIIT Trichy offers UG, PG and Doctoral-level courses. IIIT Trichy offers a four-year UG course of BTech across two specialisations. Admission to BTech is done through a national-level entrance exam, i.e., JEE Main, followed by JoSAA Counselling. Aspiring students need to qualify the exam with a valid score. IIIT Trichy offers M.Tech course at the PG level. This course is offered across multiple specialisations. Admission to M.Tech is based on a national-level entrance exam, followed by counselling. Finally, IIT Trichy offers PhD courses namely, Doctor of Philosophy in full-time mode. The admission criteria for the Doctor of Philosophy degree is based on the score of candidates in the respective national-level entrance exams.
GATE CCMT exam is conducted by National Institute of Technology Warangal for 2025. Last year, it was conducted by NIT Delhi. Additionally, IIIT Trichy has released its initial round to select candidates occupy M.Tech seats. Considering the Round 1 seat allotment results 2025, the IIIT Trichy cutoff ranged between 460 and 589 for the General All India quota. Similarly, for the OBC AI quota, the cutoff varied between 420 and, 516, wherein M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive course. Considering only parameters based on package students will find that in terms of package IIIT Kancheepuram offers better packages of INR 32 Lakhs in the highest but IIIT Trichy wins in average packages of INR 9.
