- WBJEE 2026 counselling process for Institute of Engineering and Management B.E. / B.Tech admission has now ended.
- JEE Main 2027 session 1 online application form is now available on the official website for the Institute of Engineering and Management B.E. / B.Tech admission till Nov 22, 2026. The exam will be held on Jan 22,2027 to Jan 24,2027 and Jan 28, 2027 to Jan 30, 2027 respectively.

No, PCM is not a mandatory stream to be eligible for BTech courses at Institute of Engineering and Management. However, candidates who pass from PCM stream will have a lower minimum aggregate requirement than students of other steams.

IEM Kolkata B.E. / B.TechIEM Kolkata BTech Fees 2027
IEM Kolkata BTech fees is charged on per semester basis in eight installments. Every installment except the first one has the same cost. First installment of tuition fees also contains the booking fees of a candidate after being selected. Total tuition fees for all specialisations of BTech is INR 9.45 lakh.
Students must also pay Booking Amount of INR 50,000 for Class 12 Appearing Student & INR 1,40,000 for Passout Student.
Course fees for BTech will be charged in four installments on yearly basis. Aside from first installment, every other installment has equal cost to each other. If any candidate chooses to exit BTech at IEM Kolkata, they will be eligible for refund of security deposit only.
There are several merit-based scholarship schemes that candidates can apply for to get financial assistance for paying IEM fees. Students with rank 1-10,000 in JEE Main are eligible to receive full tuition fee waiver for four-years. If candidates are unable to secure any of these scholarships, they can also consider applying for student loans.

BTech in CSE at Institute of Engineering and Management has a total fees of INR 9.45 Lacs in academic year 2026. Candidates are charged this fees in eight installments where the first installment is INR 1.4 lakh.

Candidates can complete IEM Kolkata BTech application process in online mode. Selection of candidates for BTech admission is done on entrance basis. This entrance exam can be appeared in either online with a webcam or offline at any test centers. Aspirants can check an overview of IEM admission for BTech as given below:
STEP 1: Institute of Engineering and Management BTech Application Process
1.1: Go to IEMJEE registration microsite (https://myiemexam.in/).
1.2: Fill registration form and attach necessary documents.
1.3: Pay IEMJEE registration fees.
After IEMJEE exam result is anounced, candidates need to follow the steps below:
1.4: Go to institute's website (https://iem.edu.in/).
1.5: Click on "Admission" tab and find your preferred BTech course.
1.6: Click on "Apply Online".
1.7: Fill admission form and attach all necessary documents.
1.8: Pay IEM BTech application fees and submit.
STEP 2: Selection Process
Once admission forms have been submitted, IEM shortlists candidates for counselling rounds. This selection will be done based on IEMJEE result. During counselling rounds, candidates need to lock Institute of Engineering and Management as their preferred institute. This will result in candidates getting a seat allotted in their preferred BTech course at this institute.
STEP 3: Admission Confirmation
