Candidate must have completed MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate which is recognized as per the provisions of the NMC Act, 2019 and the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2025 with the mentioned marks (40 including PWD of SC/ST/OBC) and 45 percentile for UR PWD) in NEET PG. Candidate should also possess a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council. Candidate must have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before 15th August 2024 or having qualifications that are not recognized as per the NMC Act, 2019 and the repealed IMC Act, 1956.

Institute of Medical Sciences BHU UG Diploma admission is granted to applicants who fulfil the preset eligibility criteria. To be eligible for admission, candidates fulfil the following IMS BHU UG Diploma eligibility requiements:
- They must have passed Class 12 with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, & Biology) and English
- They must have scored at least 50% in Class 12
- Their age must be at least 17 years and not more than 25 years as of the year of admission
Candidates who get selected to pursue a BSc in Nursing at the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU must confirm their admission by submitting the applicable fees. The total tuition fee for a BSc at IMS BHU is INR 900. Furthermore, selected candidates must pay a one-time fee of INR 800 at admission. This includes Enrolment Fee, Admission Fee, I-Card and Passbook Fee, College Caution Money, and Degree Charges. The mentioned fee is sourced from the official website of the college/sanctioning body. Institute of Medical Sciences BHU does not offer direct admission. IMS BHU primarily relies on national-level entrance exams like NEET-UG for undergraduate programs (like MBBS and BSc Nursing) and NEET-PG, NEET-SS, and NEET-MDS for postgraduate and super-specialty courses. After qualifying the relevant entrance exam, candidates must participate in the counseling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee.
