Admission to the ME Textile Course in 2026.

Placements: Approximately 79% of our group was placed. The average was 4.9 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the highest was 9.5 LPA. Welspun, Raymond, Reliance Textile, and Arvind Mills were among the recruiters. Approximately 68% obtained internships at R&D labs, export houses, and textile manufacturing facilities. The positions were Product Development Engineer, Process Engineer, and Quality Control Officer.

Infrastructure: Equipment for weaving, dyeing, and testing was available in textile labs; however, some of the machines required maintenance. Although there were few international publications, the library did have textile journals. Although the hostel rooms were cozy, there were sporadic water problems. Snacks from the canteen were more popular than the mediocre mess food. There were a few sports facilities, mostly for indoor competitions.

Faculty: Some lectures lacked engagement, but the faculty was knowledgeable and provided excellent guidance during the practicals. Although the curriculum did a good job of covering the fundamentals of the industry, it was slow to incorporate automation and smart textiles. Assessments were fair, the pass rate was about 84%, and the exams were moderate.

Placements: Approximately 78% of our batch was placed. The lowest salary offered was 3.1 LPA, the highest was 9.8 LPA, and the average was 4.8 LPA. Raymond, Arvind Mills, Reliance Textile, and Welspun were among the recruiters. Approximately 70% of students secured internships at export houses, textile research labs, and clothing manufacturers. Positions included product development executive, quality control specialist, and textile process engineer.

Infrastructure: Although some of the machines needed maintenance. The department had testing equipment, dyeing unit, and weaving and knitting labs. Library had limited digital resources but textile journals. Laundry service was slow, but the hostel rooms were good. The majority of students preferred canteen snacks over the mediocre mess food. Although the sports facilities were simple. There were active badminton and cricket courts.

Faculty: Although some of the lectures were very theory-based. The professors were friendly and knowledgeable about the industry. Although the syllabus did a good job of covering the basics, it lacked current modules on smart textiles. Exams were easy to handle, with an 85% pass rate, and grades were equitable.
