Review of Joginpalli B.R. Engineering College

Placements: Around 20% of students in our college have been placed. The highest salary package offered in our college is 4 LPA. The top companies that came for placements at our college are Wipro, Conzigent, and Accenture. The percentage of students who got internships from our course is nil. We haven't been placed and the college is not getting any companies to our college, which feels very bad.

Infrastructure: The faculty in our college is not up to the branch course. Our faculty is a group of up and coming students along with us, which is an unbelievable thing. We have a shortage of Wi-Fi facilities, which are available only for labs. Our hostel facilities and room maintenance are very average, and the food should go with something. When it comes to infrastructure in rooms, it is very bad. There are no medical facilities or games. We have a period for sports but no sports.

Faculty: It would be better if we wouldn't talk about our faculty. We cannot predict their knowledge and how they are qualified. Our course curriculum is alright but not up to the industry standards. They are good and they are tough, but we can face them.

One of the best colleges is good at infrastructure, faculty, etc.

Placements: Good placements are available. The lowest package is 2.5 LPA and the highest package is 12LPA. More than 80 companies come. Some of them are multinational companies. Coaching is provided for all the students to attend the placements. Some companies are with a bond maximum of 2 years and some of them are without any bond.

Infrastructure: Good infrastructure. We are providing labs with good equipment and classrooms are good space and clean. Each class will have a projector which teachers teach through that projector. Two students can sit on each bench. About 40 benches are provided for each class.

Faculty: Highly educated faculty are here to teach the students in a very good manner. They train the students in a very perfect way. We even have heads for each respective department to guide the students. So they can know how to treat others with a good attitude.

Other: College management will conduct many programs which motivate students and make them strong enough to deal with any problem. Even they conduct annual sports meet and annual day culture fest to bring good vides to the college as well as in students.

Good college with nice environment and a large campus.

Placements: College will give training for placements after 3-2. Until now 40% of the students are placed in our department as of November 2019. A good amount of startup and other small companies which are mostly established in and around Hyderabad visit our college for campus recruitment in both the semesters of the final year. We do have 3 Engineering colleges inside one campus. So, it makes companies to visit and get good number of students to full fill their requirement. Overall college have good placements.

Infrastructure: We have one of the nicest and the largest libraries here in Hyderabad. The number of books available are very high each and every student in campus can take books keep it with for full semester. There was no complaint until now stating that this particular book is not available. We don't have Wi-Fi but Labs are provided with good WLAN Connection. Classrooms provided with projector but classes are not so tidy.

Faculty: Faculty are good to help you out with academics and others stuff related to academics. To get extra content we are provided with NPTEL free offline videos. We are given the chance to choose any subjects from the electives list to choose and faculty are very friendly with students and cooperate a lot.

Good college for infrastructure and placements.

Placements: It is a good college for placements mainly Infosys is the main recruiter, and we get various companies like Tech Mahindra, Cognizant etc. As a student, I look out for many companies that can provide us more and more opportunities which will increase more and more student intake and make the college famous.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is quite good. I will not say not it is too good, but it is fine. As a student, I feel the infrastructure of the college is developing more. The main highlight of the college campus is the architecture. Now, the college is developed with more posh infrastructure.

Faculty: The faculty of the college is fine. They have good explaining techniques, and they do quite hard work to do the explain the students. They make the notes before explaining every thing. Being a student of the college, I will suggest any new student join this college.

Dissatisfied because of the faculty, and there is no complaint about the infrastructure.

Placements: The college is thriving to get companies to come to the college. However, a few companies visit the campus for placements. A few percents of people pass the first level. I'm not aware much of this category because of I'm in the 2-year. When I was in the 1st year, Amazon recruited three students from the entire college. The salary package was six lack per annum, and that's all the information that I know to the best of my knowledge. The college does have a placement cell, and it is useful. We have a life skills lab, which is conducted every Saturday, and the important skills required to get recruited are taught. In spite, honest efforts by the college the results are not to be proud of, mainly because of the batch of students that's are irresponsible and incapable. The upcoming batches are more likely to show more positive results.

Infrastructure: The college is undergoing rapid development in infrastructure. It is changed a lot since I joined about 2-years ago. The labs have undergone a major upgrade, and indoor sports facilities like the badminton, table tennis are upgraded, and they are coming up with a new tennis court I believe. The washroom has been upgraded and looks like a hotel. The library is huge and has all the books we need. I never had to buy a book separately since I lend books from the library and return them after the semester. Recently, a new block has been allocated to the college, and the word is its undergoing major refresh before the next semester. This block is presumably going to contain the MBA classes, examination branch for the first year students and a few emerging clubs. Since the college shares the campus with six other major colleges, and we have about three canteens, one for the medical college and 2 for the rest. The canteens could arguably be the best thing about the campus with awesome food at reasonable rates and make the best hangout spots. The menus are ginormous in both canteens with a wide selection of tea, coffee, biryani, fried rice, Manchuria, tiffins, thick shakes, chat, burgers, sandwiches, Frankies, cakes, puffs, ice creams, chocolates, and many things, and I personally never even got to try. Honestly, there is nothing to worry about the canteens and belong in the top college canteens in the city. These are the pros, and now coming to cons. The college doesn't look modern with an old paint job, and the classrooms look the worst(we have all the things we need though) although I mentioned about the hotel class washrooms, and it is limited to the ground floor, and the washrooms in the above floors are horrendous. I personally don't have any problem with the infrastructure of the college, and I had a problem with it in the beginning, but they are trying their best to change things, and I bet that they are going to change the whole lot of things by the time I graduate. I can't comment on the hostels because I never saw them, and I've heard that they are okay, but I doubt it.

Faculty: Every semester we are presented with five faculty members, one for each subject. These faculty members have always been in decreasing order of quality, and there is one best faculty with whom no one has any problem and two others, who are manageable and the last two are horrible and might not even know the subject properly, and this happens every semester. They say that everyone is qualified, but I doubt that 35% of the faculty don't even have a grasp on the subject let alone teach. The course curriculum is JNTU based. If I had to rate the overall faculty quality out of 10, it would be 6/10. Nonetheless, a few teachers are excellent and have almost no complaints.

Other: We have fests every year (like every other college), which I mostly avoid because of the filthy crowd that attends including the other colleges. When I was in the first year, we had this musical night for which everyone was excited, a few ex-students, who attended had thrown bottles on the DJs and climbed the stage, and it was embarrassing, and I've vowed never to go again. Apart from the tragedy, the rest was nice, and we got to do a lot of things like flash mobs, bike stunts, sports events, and competitions. The technical fests are better I guess. We had various events, stalls, music, and stuff. Overall, it was fun. The campus crowd is mixed, and idiots are everywhere I guess. We get to meet some crazy people from different colleges in one place. The campus may not be one of the best, but it is fine, and there are no complaints. The first years have NSS/NCC. We have various clubs emerging on the campus. I started a coding club along with my friends to get various people with similar interest meet and work together. Overall, the campus rating 8/10. The only complaint about the college from me so far would be that some of the faculty is the worst, and the campus crowd consists of people, who sometimes behave like hooligans and are irresponsible.
