Everything was good about JEC.
Placements: *50% of students were placed in the course MCA. *the highest: 4.5 Lacs per annum, the lowest :3.5 Lacs per annum, Average: 4 Lacs per annum. * Top companies: TCS, IBM, Infosys, Capgemini. *100% student got internships from NIC, APDCL. *Software developer, system analyst.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms and library is available in Jorhat Engineering college. Everything is well-equipped and well infrastructure. The quality of facilities in hostel is very fine. The quality of food is good at minimum cost. Gym is also provided and sports room too. Free LAN provided in every room, solar panel, refrigerator with full cctv security.
Faculty: *Teachers were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Some were had done PhD's and rest of were Post graduate. * The course is curriculum relevant and it make students industry ready in IT sector and many more. *Semester exams were quite difficult and the pass percentage is 65%. .
Other: * I have choose this course as I love computer sector. Best thing about this course is you will get better knowledge about computer applications and have more job opportunities. *I wish that more practical knowledge should be given then the theoretical knowledge. *Annual fest (phoenex), sports week, election, rallies (cultural), etc.

Other: NITKKR is one of the best colleges for computer science branch or for any course in this institution.
About 50+ companies recruit for C.S. every year. The package varies from rupees 5-25 lakhs.
In other branches, the competition is high. For M.tech, this college is not so good as compared to its B.tech counterpart, but you will get enough time to prepare for PSUs.
The labs are available for all hours for post graduate students.
