Harsh reality of JSSATE Noida.
Placements: Around 20 to 30 percent of students are placed. As of now, the highest package is around 15 LPA and the lowest around 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Accenture, Wipro, Deloitte, etc. There is no exact information about how many got internships from the course, but I guess very few, around 5 to 6, will be able to get paid internships, otherwise, most of them got unpaid internships.
Infrastructure: Labs are not well equipped like a typical government college. Hostels are decent; you will get both AC and non-AC rooms. Mess food is very bad, but I prefer the college hostel at least in the first year. This college is not for you if you love sports and games, no proper facilities are there.
Faculty: Faculty is same as all other colleges. First-year college faculty is a little serious, but from the second year, it's very chill. It's AKTU affiliated, so the curriculum is outdated. Semester exams are not difficult, but again, it's AKTU, you can never be sure about your performance. Even if you attempt all the questions, you might get the subject back, so it’s very common in all AKTU-affiliated colleges, and it happens very often.
Other: My course is CSEDS of 2028 batch. Currently in the second year of college. I chose this course because I want to pursue my career in the IT field. Zealicon is our 3-day cultural fest. It’s decent; sometimes they call artists from outside, sometimes not. AKTU scholarship is there if you are eligible.

Real good infrastructure and facilities, too much discipline needed.
Placements: Approximately 2-3% of students got placed in this course. Earlier this percentage was high but after the Covid pandemic, it kept on decreasing every year. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: In my college, we are provided with some facilities that are basic for the development and growth of a student. Facilities include Wi-Fi (all over the campus), advanced laboratories, smart classrooms, digital libraries, workshops, and a canteen. It also has a large football/cricket ground and an indoor gaming arena.
Faculty: Faculty members are top notch but it is always up to the students who they want to admire or not. The curriculum provided by the AKTU is according to the required technical trends in the computer science data science engineering branch.

About JSS Academy of Technical Education.
Placements: Since it's a Tier 3 college, you have to work for your own placement. Companies visit like Wipro, HCL, TCS, Samsung, and more. As I am a student of the 1st year, I don't have much knowledge about placement, but as per senior interaction, if you have skills, you can have better placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Labs are AC centralized and clean. Wi-Fi in the boys' hostel is limited to some sites, but you have unlimited data to use. Also, mess facilities are average along with the mess. You have a separate cafeteria, ammunition shop, bank, and health expert. Sports facilities like a basketball court are present, badminton courts in the hostel, a table tennis court in the hostel, a football ground, a cricket ground, a cricket practice ground, a volleyball ground, and sports including rugby, javelin throw, and many more sports are also present in our college.
Faculty: Faculty members are well educated. Most of them are Ph.D. holders, and the rest are Masters in their field. Since this college comes under AKTU, we don't expect that our curriculum is good. Our teachers taught us the same day learned many years ago. Since for so many years no changes in the syllabus have been done As the copy is checked by AKTU, it could be a rough checking, depending on your luck. As per my experience and interaction, I heard that most of the good students have back in their exams, so it could be a negative point of this college, as it is currently affiliated with AKTU.
Other: In the condition of not getting my desired college, I preferred to choose a top AKTU college over many government colleges of AKTU because of the location of the college, which is so prime and gives it a plus point over many other colleges that come under AKTU.

Yes, you can choose JSS if you get the CSE branch.
Placements: I am just a fresher to this college, so I personally don't know, but I have asked many seniors. They have said that placement in the CSE branch is quite decent. The highest package is around 47 lacs, which is lesser than last year. They have told me that this year is not as good as it was previously, but maybe in the future, it will become better.
Infrastructure: I am a day scholar, so again I don't know much, but according to my hosteller friends, the breakfast is terrible, while lunch and dinner are decent. There are quite a few restrictions on entry and exit timings, and most students don’t even get rooms because of high demand. You have to apply very soon to get a room.
Faculty: The curriculum is according to AKTU. In the first year, you will have all the subjects of different branches, which is quite boring to study (like ecology, soft skills, fundamentals of mechanical). There isn’t much explanation about why you have to study these different subjects. Apart from that, there are exams every month. For example, after one month of starting my first semester, there were exams, and they told us already that there would be an exam the next month as well.

Great college for experiencing B.Tech.
Placements: Placement is fine here, not so good. The lowest package here is 3 LPA, and average, I think, is 5 LPA, with the highest package being 57 LPA. Top recruiters here include TCS, Tangencious, etc. About 80% of students get placed. I think you will need to make an effort to get placed; you cannot depend on the college.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi only for laptops, but it does not work properly. There are fully equipped labs. Some classrooms have AC, but most classrooms are not installed with AC. There is a library as well. Food quality is better than at other colleges but not as good as at home. There are no medical facilities.
Faculty: Some teachers are good and well qualified, while others are just a headache. The overall teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is not for industrial readiness. You can easily pass exams but not get good marks because of AKTU teachers. Also, there is a dress code at our college.

JSS is good college for AKTU counselling.
Placements: JSS is among the best colleges of AKTU counselling. There are around 144 students in Data Science. Placement at JSS is as some seniors have a package of 40-45 LPA, but the average is roaming somewhere around 7-8 LPA. Placement in 2023 is bad due to the recession.
Infrastructure: The library of the college is really awesome, and there are many books in the college library. It is a peaceful environment to study. In the first year, we have Physics lab, graphic lab, soft skill lab (the only lab which has AC), workshop, Chemistry lab.
Faculty: Here in college, we have 3 Continuous Internal Assessments (CIA) in which scoring decent marks is very easy; you only have to do notes and assignments. Some of our faculty are from top colleges like NIT Bhopal and NIT Kurukshetra. The semester exam is also easy; just do class notes and 3-4 years' previous year question papers (pyqs).
Other: I chose JSS because it is the best private college, and I am getting CSE, so yes, I chose it.

This college is nice for those who do not have 15 -20 lac to spend on B.Teach college.
Placements: My batch is the first one and has not placed its first batch yet so you might not get any placement record for data Science and ai/ml branches but if you want to know about the placement of the college, then the highest is 38 LPA, the minimum is 2 LPA, average is 5 LPA, and the top recruiting companies are Adobe, zomato, Tcs, etc. No one got the internships.
Infrastructure: The curriculum is outdated and requires students to study the same subjects as other branches until the second year. However, from the third year onwards, most of the subjects are newly introduced, as JSS is now an independent university and not under AKTU. The classrooms have Wi-Fi access and are well-maintained, while the library is good and provides access to books. However, please note that the library is not available 24*7.
Faculty: The faculty is known for their helpfulness and support, although some electronics students have mentioned that they find them to be somewhat strict. The curriculum has recently been updated to ensure its relevance to the course. During semester exams, it is common for students to study just a day before and still manage to achieve passing marks.

Better than expected but could really improve on the basis of the overall experience.
Placements: The seniors in our college were placed with an average package of around 4-5 LPA. The recession certainly has affected the opportunities offered, but the college has good connections and reach to ensure at least a good number of companies reach out for placements.
Infrastructure: The labs and department have really good infrastructure, better than I expected. They have done a really good job utilizing the space they own. Although being old, the buildings are maintained well. There are air-conditioned rooms as well as non-A.C., both are maintained regularly. The food here can really improve, but not much was expected anyways.
Faculty: Teachers are really qualified, and they try to maintain a good connection with students. Of course, there are some teachers who do it by the book, which sometimes can be infuriating, but overall the quality of teachers was better than my expectations. This just proves that JSS would do so much better as a university rather than being under AKTU.
Other: The societies/clubs of JSS really improve the quality of campus life with regular events and involvement of freshers. Even with a tight budget, they try their best to entertain and bring out the best in people. These societies are really a plus point for the overall college experience.
