Studying in this college of mine was excellent from faculty to infrastructure.
Placements: There were very small chances of getting placement in our college. Every year, there was an event organised by the placement cell of our college but most of them were unpaid internships in which you will get letter of recommendation and in paid internships, you were supposed to work in the office. They offered around Rs.2000 - Rs.5000 based on your performance. The companies for placements were very small organisations. For good company's internships, we get invitations from north campus colleges.
Infrastructure: At our time, the hostel of our college was under construction. Before that, there was no hostel in our college, but the overall infrastructure of our college was very good. The cafe area, canteen, and all the parks with different plants and trees were available. The canteen food was good and the classrooms were okay. We cannot say that they were very good but the labs of our college were well maintained and fully air-conditioned. The sports building was also very nice with different rooms for different games and there was a gym but you have to pay fees for the gym.
Faculty: The professors of our college were well qualified and most of them taught us not like our mentors but like good friends. At the time of our classes, students will definitely love to study and listen to the long lectures without getting bored. In B.A. programme, you will get 2 discipline subjects, 1 language, and 1 skill enhancement course subject. With the change of semester, you will get a choice to choose your second subject. Every semester, you will get different subjects and different languages (Hindi/English). If you will study, you cannot find the exams difficult. Before semester exam, our college conducted home exams. And for semester exams, our college takes fees for the exam, before the exams get started we have to fill out the examination form and submit the fees to the college department. For theory, they will charge Rs.100 per subject, and for practical, it was Rs. 200. It was very annoying to wait for 3-4 hours for submitting the examination form and fees.
Other: My overall experience in Kalindi College was very good, as everything was perfect at my time, whether it was our faculty, infrastructure, canteen, library, computer labs, geography labs, or anything. Even though sometimes, it was annoying to stand in long ques to submit the examination form and fees. One more thing is that you have to renew your library card every year and college id. To reach Kalindi college, the nearby metro station is Rajendra place. It is around 10 minutes walking distance or you can simply travel by rikshaw.
