Strong academics with growing placement and internship opportunities at Shyam Lal College.
Placements: Above 50 percent of students got placed. The highest package is 5 LPA and the lowest package is 1 LPA. Top recruiters are Accenture and ICICI Bank / ICICI Prudential. Around 50 to 80 percent of students got internships in companies like Juspay and Amazon. The roles offered include business development / sales associate, data analyst / data support.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for my course are very good and improve year by year. Hostel facility is not available in our college, but canteen facilities are decent, offering affordable and hygienic food with basic variety suitable for daily student needs.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified. Most students describe the exams as moderate in difficulty, neither very hard nor very easy, and manageable if you study consistently. Around 60–80 percent pass rate is common for students who prepare well, and some reviews mention pass criteria like minimum CGPA or marks.
Other: There is a need to improve events and fests in the college.

Decent college, could be considered as a last resort.
Placements: The placements provided by the college are below average. People from the B.A. program do get placements, but it is rare that they will get a good one. High packages are offered by some companies, but few will rarely grasp those. So it would be safe to avoid going to this college if you don't have any other skills other than your degree, if you want a good placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good for a college in a place like Shahdara, but it could have been better. For playing sports, we have a volleyball court and a ground where you can play football, cricket, etc. Hostel facilities are not provided by the college, so students have to make arrangements on their own.
Faculty: The faculty is the best aspect of this college. The teachers here are helpful, highly qualified professionals, and have a lot of experience in their respective fields. The curriculum is slightly above average, and as far as the exams are concerned, they are really easy, with a minimum passing percentage of 40%.
Other: College fests, events, and societies are all in a developing phase here, but they are showing some great results.

Not much satisfied with college faculty and fees.
Placements: My course is B.A. program, and our college provides some placements, but these placements aren't that high. Companies like Deloitte and KPMG select students for placements based on their skills. The highest package is around 5 LPA, and the average package is around 2 LPA-3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good infrastructure. There are well-maintained classrooms, a library, and different labs like the computer lab, Chemistry lab, bio lab, etc. Our college has a big and well-maintained sports ground. There is also a Wi-Fi facility available but the canteen isn't that good and its food is of poor quality.
Faculty: Teachers are good and supportive like some teachers treat students like their own, but some teachers don't respond in a good manner. Our principal is one of the best principals any college could have. The process of college exams is easy and simple. Teachers and faculty also help students with it.
Other: Students have many facilities to enjoy and explore college life in our college. The crowd is also good. There are many seniors who treat juniors like their own brothers. There are great fests to enjoy and college functions to explore.

A glimpse of Shyam Lal College.
Placements: Every year, our college conducts a placement drive for students, and many companies come there to select the students. That drive held for 3-4 days, and many students got the placement mostly from the commerce department. Students also got internships in many companies and a good stipend too.
Infrastructure: Our college campus is very big. We have two big buildings, an open auditorium, many gardens, a big sports ground, labs, Wi-Fi availability, and many more. College doesn't have a hostel that's a drawback. College provides medical facilities. Canteen is also there, and the prices are very reasonable. Sports facilities are also there.
Faculty: Teachers help a lot with solving questions, provide help in practical, and are very supportive of the students. Semester exams are of moderate level, not too tough. Previous year questions help you a lot. Around 80% of students pass the exam and score a good CGPA.

Placements: .I am part of the BA programme (History+maths). When it comes to placements around 50 percent of students from our course got placed. The highest package is 8 LPA, the lowest package is 1 LPA and average package is 4 LPA. Some of the top recruiters that visited our campus for our course included Bajaj, hdfc bank service, etc. For internships nearly 70 percent of students got opportunities.
Infrastructure: Shyam Lal College, Delhi, provides modern infrastructure including Wi-Fi-enabled campus, well-equipped labs (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer), digital library with vast resources, two innovation plazas for creative learning, an auditorium and sports facilities like hockey, volleyball and badminton courts. The college offers a range of degree courses such as B.A. (Hons. ) in Economics, Hindi and Political Science, B.Com. (Hons. ), B.Sc and B.A. Programme, along with various certificates and add on courses in different disciplines.
Faculty: Shyam Lal College offers a range of undergraduate courses with qualified faculty dedicated to student development across disciplines like English, Commerce, and Economics. The curriculum is divided into semesters, and exams are university-level, with students required to meet the minimum passing criteria for their respective courses. They are not the best, but you can go for it.
Placements: Roles offered are research, and many students get internships if they are interested. However, there are very less societies, so someone who is interested in these types of activities might not get into a society.
Infrastructure: Everything is nice, but the administration can be improved, and the canteen as well. During summers, AC in classrooms would really help. Wi-Fi facility isn't available, and the library needs more books. There are no medical facilities. There are sports, but it's available for very limited people, and selections are only done based on references.
Faculty: Teachers are nice, and the course helps a lot to find yourself. Exams are based on how much you have prepared. They give degrees but do not prepare students for the industry. I feel that teachers are only there for the salary. Assignments given to us are a waste, they don't even go through them.
Other: The crowd is very mixed. They offer various options for extracurricular activities and sports, as well as studies in my course.

Placements: Big companies come to this college like E&Y, and it is one of the biggest four companies. The campus placements are well. Students get the opportunity to study abroad in collaboration with companies. There is a placement cell, which helps us very much and works with full dedication. Almost 80% of students get placements. The average package ranges from 4-5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Shyamlal College is a good college. I am currently pursuing a B.A. From Shyamlal College (evening). The environment is very good. The college is spread over a big area. It is well-connected to the whole Delhi NCR. The metro is about 200 meters just walking distance to the college. The college bus stop or Shadara terminals are just 500 meters and it is well-connected. It has a big ground and a big library. Teacher of this college is also great. Its History and Politics group is the best in the college. It has different societies and departments.
Faculty: I would rate 10 out of 10 for teacher quality. They help so much in our doubts. They solve 70% of doubts on the spot. This course is for students who like arts and history. Most of the 60% syllabus is related to my competitive exam, which is SSC. Semester exams are easy. The pass percentage is 30%.
Other: I chose this course because 60% of this course is similar to my SSC syllabus. The management of course would be better. Events, fests, and campus, all are maintained well. For every 3-4 months, events are organised.

Honest Review on Shyam lal college (Delhi University). .
Placements:
Our college has a placement cell. Every year, it invites different companies like WIPRO, etc. to provide placement to the students. It helps the students to acquire jobs. The average package is around 400,000 to 500,000 LPA. The highest package is around 800,000 LPA. The percentage of students getting placements is around 40 to 50 percent. Our college also provides internship programs to the students. The stipend is around 4,000 to 10,000 and may vary according to your skills and contribution to the company. For information about these internship programs, you have to contact the college office.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure consists of two buildings for classes, parking, a printing shop, an ATM, a playground, various courts for different sports, a garden, a canteen, an amphitheater, a porch area, club and society rooms, and sports rooms. There is also a library, an auditorium, and labs for different subjects are available. The only thing that our college lacks is hostel facilities. There are no hostel facilities provided by the college to students.
Faculty: The faculty members of the college are very nice and qualified to teach in the subjects they master. They are not so strict to some extent and do not pressure you to make notes. They are always open to clearing your doubts and are very lenient in giving marks. Their teaching style is also exceptional, as they will teach you from the basics. The semester examination is pretty easy if you understand the concept and solve PYQs. The percentage of students getting passed is more than 87%.
Other: I chose this course because it is flexible and innovative, and it allows me to explore subjects other than my core subjects. It also helps me in building a basis for my UPSC preparation. The college arranges a fresher party every year for welcoming new students, and it also hosts a fest at the end of the academic year. You can also join the fests of other colleges that come under Delhi University by showing your ID cards. The college provides scholarships and financial aid.
