Kongu Engineering College is good, but this college is located on the outskirts of Erode.
Placements: I don't know the exact placement percentage. I think it is around 75% in my department. In my department, the average salary is approximately 3–4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata, TCS, ZOHO, Infosys, and Soliton. Service-based roles are a major in my department.
Infrastructure: The campus is green and eco-friendly and a Wi-Fi-enabled campus. In classrooms, teachers teach on a smartboard. The library is neat and clean, and students maintain silence. There are nearly 7,000 books available, which give knowledge to students.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful. They clear every doubt with an explanation. The curriculum is good. They provide more training for placements, but students feel more stressed. They also make students go for industry visits even in the first year. I am a first-year student, and I have not faced any semester exams yet.

Kongu Engineering College is best for infrastructure and good for placement and academics.
Placements: 80 percent of students are being placed with an average package of 23 LPA, and the lowest package is 5.5 LPA. L&T and Bosch are coming for placement. Around 78 percent of people are getting internships, and all is fine. Team leader and other posts, like manager, are being offered as top positions.
Infrastructure: Faculty members with Ph.D. degrees and M.Tech are being selected to teach. Multi-facility labs are available in the college with many equipment. Wi-Fi is all around the campus, and a big library is provided. Good hostel facilities are available with a sports ground, and food is available.
Faculty: Teachers are very good at helping with academic and other activities. Teachers are well-qualified and educated in all things. The curriculum is relevant to the subject. It makes the student industry-ready. Semester exams happen every 6 months.
Other: Cultural events are happening every 6 months, and sports events, teach fusion, and hackathons occur as well.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, supportive, and use practical methods to teach. The curriculum is industry-oriented with updated technologies. Exams are moderately difficult but manageable. The overall pass percentage is around 95 percent, and the faculty members are good.

An excellent college with good faculty members, infrastructure, and placement.
Placements: In 2024, college placement trends showed an impressive outcome with many top institutions achieving placement rates above 90 percent for their graduation batches. The highest salary packages touched 13 LPA, and average offers range from 6 LPA to 6.5 LPA for in-demand courses. Major recruiters include Accenture, Amazon, Infosys, and TCS, reflecting strong industry participation. Internship opportunities also grew with up to 80 percent of students interning at leading firms such as Google and Microsoft. Top roles offered are software development, consulting, product management, and analytics.
Infrastructure: Modern colleges in 2025 offer comprehensive facilities for students, including campus-wide Wi-Fi, advanced computer labs, fully equipped classrooms with audio-visual aids, and libraries stocked with contemporary books and digital resources. Hostels are designed to be comfortable, featuring clean rooms, recreational space, night canteens, and amenities such as laundry services and a gymnasium. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is generally regarded as hygienic and varied, with regular menu updates, and students also benefit from on-site medical clinics, insured health coverage, and plentiful opportunities for sports and outdoor games throughout the year.
Faculty: Our college has 400 plus faculty members of which 300 plus faculty members are Ph.D. holders. Their quality of teaching is good. They clear the doubts when we need. The internal exam was pretty easy, and the pass percentage is about 70 and above. We expect the semester exam to be easy.

Roles offered are ML Engineer, Data Scientist, AI Engineer, Data Analyst, and NLP Engineer.
Infrastructure: AIML facilities include smart classrooms with projectors, Wi-Fi, specialized AI/ML labs with GPUs, software like TensorFlow/PyTorch, a library, and seminar halls. The hostel has good quality with Wi-Fi, adequate mess food (hygiene maintained), a medical center, sports complex, gym, and indoor/outdoor games facilities.
Faculty: Faculty are qualified PhDs, helpful, and knowledgeable in AI/ML. Teaching quality is good with a practical focus. Curriculum is industry-relevant, covers ML, DL, NLP, CV, Python, and TensorFlow, which makes students job-ready. Exams are moderately difficult, with a pass percentage of 60-75 percent typically.
Other: I chose this course because of high demand, good salary, and innovation potential. It has industry-relevant skills, ML/AI projects, and career opportunities. From what I’ve seen, Kongu Engineering College's TNEA cutoff for CSE, IT, and ECE usually stays above 180–190, so with 175 it’s tough for those. But you can still get branches like Mechanical, Civil or EEE. The fees come to around INR 55 K – INR 60 k per year, and hostel charges are extra.
