KITM is a private college. But it is affiliated with KURUKSHETRA UNIVERSITY, KURUKSHETRA (KUK) which is a government institute.

Currently there isn't any girl from Assam at this moment but there are many from almost every part of India. College is a place where we should meet different type of people.
There is a seperate hostel for girls and sufficient rooms are available.
At present there are around 20 girls in hostel.
