Totally valuable in less expense.
Placements: There is only few chances are available for placement because only two or three companies visit our college for our specialisation and they only select maximum five students. Placement cell is not active. Companies such as Florence Daniel, Honeywell automation etc. Visited time to time.
Infrastructure: It's Wi-Fi enabled, labs are well-equipped, classrooms are good but somehow complex infrastructure because more space is needed. Hostels are good but food requires improvement, Library needs more books and a well structured and updated system, poor sports facilities.
Faculty: College offers two types of courses one is B.Tech (4 years) full time, B.Tech (lateral entry) and M.Tech (2 years) both courses are for instrumentation engineering. All the permanent teachers are good at teaching, very helpful but 2-3 teachers are temporary and not good at teaching. The course fee is very affordable.
Other: GATE and Sc/St scholarships are available, some fest are organised by students but staff was not supportive.

Delayed reality of the Department of Instrumentation Engineering in Kurukshetra University.
Placements: In our course, about 47 students got campus placement out of 60. The lowest package was 2 LPA, and the highest was 18 LPA. It is one of the oldest colleges, and it is considered the best college according to students who got approximately 2 lakh rank. Students are very happy here because, during the induction program, teachers from NIT come to guide us.
Infrastructure: On campus, we have Wi-Fi throughout the university, including in our hostels, classrooms, practical labs, and everywhere. We also have a sports complex, which was recently visited by Modi Ji, and the quality of food in the mess and canteen is good. There is also a healthcare center within the campus.
Faculty: The teachers are well-experienced and well-educated, with more than 30 years of experience. During the induction program, teachers from NIT come to take our classes, which happen every day. We have a lot of activities in our curriculum, like Ratnavali and Gita Mahotsav. Semester exams in our college are very tough as the papers come from NITs and IITs.
Other: I chose electrical engineering because it is my passion.

Good department, best faculty for the course, and excellent placements.
Placements: Good students were placed, and many top companies came to recruit students for different roles, helping them build their careers. The training and placement process is good, with excellent internships provided by the college. Senior engineer positions were offered by various companies and firms, including different MNCs.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very good, and the infrastructure is also commendable. There is a departmental library, and Wi-Fi is available. The classrooms are well-maintained, and the benches are comfortable. The hostels are also good, providing beds, cupboards, tables, chairs, and fans.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and the curriculum is relevant, preparing students for the industry. The exams are moderately difficult, with a passing percentage of 33%. The teachers are of high quality, ensuring students are industry-ready, with solid theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
Other: I am interested in electrical engineering, which I chose because it is in demand right now and is also a good subject.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Which is the toughest subject in B.Tech Electrical Engineering course?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

The subject that is tough for you might be very easy to study and grasp for your friend, who finds it interesting. For example, you may find Electromagnetic Wave Theory very tough because of the various technicalities and Engineering theory that it deals with. But, for your friend, it might be fun to learn, as it gives them a channel to learn, explore, and experiment with something new.

Q:   Can I customize the BTech Electrical Engineering syllabus as per my interests?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

The Electrical Engineering subjects for a BTech degree includes both core as well as elective subjects. The core subjects are mandatory for all the students to study in all the 8 semesters as they give you the foundational knowledge important to excel in the field in the future.

Talking about the elective subject choices, you do have some scope of customization there as you can pick the subjects as per your interests and understanding, the ones you find easy-going and fun to study and something you would like to take forward in your career. A few elective subjects in the BTech EE syllabus are VLSI Technology, Power Systems and Electronics, Control of Electrical Drives, etc.
