B.E. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2019
2.8
Studies should be better than other colleges.
Placements: No Placement but still showing 90% placement in prospects. In civil engineering total 80+ student in my batch. Student just go for poll campus selection and elected by its own potential not by institute and now a days some of the students, they work for less than labor salary.
Infrastructure: Not much better infrastructure. Wi-Fi facilities are there for just name only 200mb/person which is useless. Lab facilities is also available but they never upgrade to instrument and now a days still use 20+ year old instruments in civil engineering.
Faculty: In Civil engineering best faculty are there, highly experienced and Ph.D. holder. No much industrial visits. Ok curriculum, they just focus on institute politics. Not much difficulty in semester exam but University curriculum activities are the worst in Mumbai (Mumbai University).

I am absolutely satisfied because of the faculty members and good placements provided here.
Placements: About 75% of the students got placed from our course, i.e., civil engineering. The highest salary package offered to one of our college students who belong to the computer engineering branch was 37 LPA. The lowest salary package offered might be 1.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 5 LPA. Companies like Tata, Toppr, Jio and Google visited our college for recruitment, but only some students got placed. I don't know about internships because I haven't got any internships due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, I know that very few students get internships from here and not every student. Teachers try to get internships for all students, and also in the college only, they organise many events about internships and placements.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our college are average. There is a Wi-Fi facility but not for students and only for staff members. Moreover, labs, library and classrooms are good. I don't know about the facilities provided in the hostel because I do not stay in the hostel. However, my friends who stay in the hostel told me that the facilities are good. On the campus, there is a canteen also in which you get a variety of food like vegetarian and non-vegetarian. There is no gymkhana in our college.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and good also. All teachers are postgraduates, i.e., they all did M.E or M.Tech. Some teachers did a PhD, while one or two teachers are pursuing a PhD, along with teaching. The teaching quality is very good. The curriculum is as per Mumbai University guidelines. Apart from the curriculum, teachers also provide useful knowledge of the field. Semester exams of the first and last year are set by Mumbai University, while the second and third-year exams are conducted in our college only. But papers are set by the university only.
Other: I chose civil engineering because I am interested in construction. This college is very good for the civil branch. Other branches are also good, and facilities are also good. I suggest our college to provide more internships and site visits. Here events, fest and extracurricular activities are conducted, and they are also very much interesting.

I am satisfied with the college, but they should improve facilities for upcoming batches.
Placements: I did civil engineering at this college. In our batch, only 1 student got a job in a consultancy firm, and the salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month.
Infrastructure: All practical subjects and apparatus are available for various experiments with a seating facility in all labs. Computer labs are also available. Smartboards are available in every classroom. In the library, all books are available. The sports ground is small, so you cannot play cricket or football with comfort. Our college is good, but the fee is high. Advanced facilities are not provided, like air-conditioners. The campus is not maintained, and only one lift is available for 8 branches.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but exams are difficult. The course curriculum is not that useful in the industry. Teachers are PhD holders and masters degree holders. Everyone can pass the exam if they study one day before exams, but students have to study with full dedication. Professors are good, and they have good technical knowledge.
Other: Many events are conducted in this college, and students can participate and take advantage of them. Now the college has increased the fee by about 1.5 lac. So, financially weak students can't study in this college. Students can fill EBC scholarship and religious scholarship forms for the reduction in fee amount.

I am satisfied with the college because all the facilities provided are good.
Placements: Our college provides very low placements for the civil engineering branch. Around 5-10% of the students get placements. Top recruiting companies of our college are Tata, Mahindra, Infosys, Jio, TCS & many others. The highest salary package offered to one of the students was 32 LPA. But the placements are very low.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is provided but only 50 MB. Labs have good equipment, and the library has many books. The hostel is good, and the food served is hygienic, and cleaning is done from time to time. The hostel is located at opposite CST local station named Sobani Hostel. The best facilities are given at the hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are experienced and well qualified with M.E / M.Tech /PhD in various streams. They always encourage students in studies & extra-curricular activities. Seminars are conducted from time to time for future opportunities, guidance, etc. The civil department conducts extra-curricular activities on a department level.

I am satisfied with the college.
Placements: Almost 10% of the students got placed from the civil branch. The highest salary offered was 3,20,000 lacs per month, the average salary offered was Rs. 48,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month. L&T is the top recruiting company of our college. In our course, the highest salary package offered was 32 LPA, the average salary package offered was 5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Almost 50% of the students got an internship in L&T and Ultratech.
Infrastructure: Our college has Wi-Fi for students to use, and labs like construction material lab have good quality material for studying, which is beneficial for all students. The college is very clean, and there is a good atmosphere for students to learn. The library has all types of technical books for studying, and it is open all the time. Classrooms have the technology, good clean tables and have a projector for studying. Our hostel is near to our college and does not allow any ragging. It is clean and hygienic. Mess food is average, but canteen has good things. Quality of food is also good, but it is costly. Hospital and medicals are available near the college. Our college offers great and different types of games and sports and encourages students to take part in it.
Faculty: Teachers in our college have great knowledge to express, and they are friendly with students. Teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is relevant and easy to learn and understand. Students are getting good knowledge, and they are making students hardworking.
Other: I like civil engineering, so I have chosen this college. Civil engineering gives you knowledge of how to make a building and various other things. It has its pros and cons, but overall it is a better stream to learn. Our course can be improved by making it totally practical but not theoretical. Events here occurs in February every year, and they are addictive. The campus is quite huge, and the crowd is good as students are connected to each other. As this college is in the middle of Mumbai, it is very near to 4 railway stations which are making it easier for students to travel. Scholarships are provided to the minority students, and it pays 40% of the total fees. Extracurricular activities like games and hackathon happen here every month.

The campus is very good, clean and tidy. Security is very strict. Well-qualified and helpful staff.
Placements: Almost 80% of the students got admissions who appeared for the interview. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month. The highest salary offered was Rs. 40,000 per month. Sodexo was the best company which offered placements. Dietician and nutritionist are the roles offered. The lowest salary offered in our course was Rs. 25,000 per month. The highest salary offered in our course was Rs. 40,000 per month. Almost 60% of the students got internships.
Infrastructure: The college provides free Wi-Fi facility, smart classrooms, library, chemistry lab, biology lab, table tennis room, playing ground, botanical garden, auditorium, textiles lab, computer lab, cooking kitchen, bakery, and artist room. Food served here is amazing. Medical facilities are good. Sports events are held every month.
Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified and knowledgeable. They help the students and guide them. They use different methods which makes the learning process easy and amazing to learn. The course is very relevant, and it's an upcoming field, which helps to mould the students future and be the best in the world of technology.
Other: I have chosen this course because it's an upcoming field, and people are now more aware of their health. There should be more books and more practical work and an increased period of internship. Events are held every month. The fest is conducted in a year in a grand manner.

I am completely dissatisfied with the placements and the inability to cope up with modern amenities.
Placements: Placements in this college are really pathetic for civil engineers. Having said that, the current Indian market is saturated with civil engineers. Saboo Siddik fails to bring good companies to the college for placements. In fact, they don't even take the initiative to at least invite the big firms or MNCs or approach them. Out of 67 students in our final year batch, only 5 of them got jobs from placements in college. Also, the college has lost its reputation of being one of the top colleges to study civil engineering. Students should choose their college wisely.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is outdated. The management won't even bother to spend some money to at least have classrooms that fit for modern studies. The canteen also serves pathetic food, and the hygiene conditions are not that great. The library makes you feel like you're in an old-age home.
Faculty: The faculty members of this college are good. Some teachers are really friendly and help students with their submissions, but others are too strict when it comes to this aspect. The assignment completion here is really hectic. You have to be writing assignments on a regular basis just to not have a heap of assignments pile up on the last day. Overall, the teaching and faculty members in this college are really good.
Other: The events and fests organised here are good enough. Even though the faculty don't support that much, you can still expect decent enjoyment when it comes to the annual college fest. One thing the college really has an advantage of is the surroundings. It is located in the heart of Bombay, and you can have everything right from epic food to college essentials nearby you.

If you are passionate about knowledge, put in the efforts and grab it from the teachers.
Placements: There were no placements from our college, but this year, the teachers are making efforts to get the companies for placements. A notice has been issued that within one-year, companies will start hiring the students from our college. Let's hope that it happens.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. Teachers give proper attention and proper answers to the students. Attendance is also a bit serious and matters a lot during vivas and submission. They give KTs in internals when unit tests and vivas are conducted. All the labs are available in our college.
Faculty: The faculty in our college are good. They teach in a good manner. They talk nicely with the students. They give proper attention. They also take action as necessary. The course is as per Mumbai University rules and regulations. Everything is based on those rules only. Copying in the exams may result in KT (fail to score the pass mark) of that subject.

Hello Hamzah, It is best to give both the exams, although it is not compulsory to give both of them. It would be better to give MHTCET though. Minimum criteria for the same is 50% in 12th. For more details, clik the link given below: https://www.shiksha.com/college/m-h-saboo-siddik-college-of-
