I am satisfied with the faculty members and placements, etc.
Placements: Around 90% students are placed with their internship. Highest package was between 15-20 LPA, average package was around 10-12 LPA, and lowest package was 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies that offered jobs are Pfizer, Novartis, Cipla, etc. Top roles offered are medical advisory, clinical research associate, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are outdated, and campus is spread over 10 acres. Wi-Fi, classroom, labs, and a well-stocked library are available on campus. Quality of food is good, and separate hostels are available for girls and boys. Outdoor and indoor games also occurred on campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very skilled and experienced, and they behave well with all students. M.M.C. are affiliated with Tamil Nadu's Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. This programme spans 3 years and is full-time, and exams are divided into internal and external with 100 marks, with 50% being the minimum passing mark.

The best college for MD in Pharmacology.
Placements: The placement rate is around 90 percent. The median salary for MD students in 2023 is 13.92 LPA. While the highest package offered is not explicitly mentioned it is in the range of 12-15 LPA. The top recruiters include Pfizer and Novartis. Approximately 90 percent of students are placed in the MD programme. Nearly all students are able to secure internships.
Infrastructure: The campus is surrounded by greenery everywhere, which gives fresh air and proper ventilation in classrooms. It has a vast collection of books in the well-stocked library. The quality of food is acceptable. Multiple sports and medical facilities are available. It is mandatory to wear coats and uniforms on campus days. Even during training, it is necessary to wear white coats and carry stethoscopes to provide proper training on live cases. Classrooms and labs are well-managed and modified. The hostel rooms are comfortable, and the quality of food available in the mess is hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are very skilled and experienced. The teaching quality is very good. They are not very helpful. Faculty members are supportive, and most faculty members hold MD or Ph.D. degrees. Their teaching style is also good, they teach us through discussions, case studies, and practical demonstrations, making learning engaging and effective. Exams are easy, often including MCQs, short questions, and brief questions. Faculty members provide us with assignments and notes for exam preparation, which are enough to score well.

Q:   Which is the top course of Madras Medical College, Chennai?
A:

It can not be said that which is the top course offered but since we have the norm that MBBS is the top course I would say that MBBS is the top course only. However, the college has other master level programmes too say MD and MS so they are also top notch but it takes a level to reach there which is to do MBBS first.

Q:   What impact does the number of available seats have on NEET 2024 cut-offs?
    A:

A significant number of applicants compete for a limited number of seats in government medical colleges under the All India quota based on NEET exam, making admission extremely competitive.

For General AI category, the cutoffs are substantially higher than the cutoff for other All India quota seats. A considerably higher score—often in the range of 650–700 or more out of 720—is typically needed to be eligible for a place in a government medical college through the All India quota.

A candidate who scores only 2–4 marks above the cutoff is likely to enter a highly competitive zone where their prospects of getting an All India quota seat are unpredictable and dependent on a number of variables, including the distribution of their overall score and the number of seats available.

The number of candidates taking the NEET exam has a direct effect on the cut-off as well. A big candidate pool raises the level of competition and could result in higher cutoffs. The cut-off scores are impacted by the number of seats available in medical colleges.
