On JEE Main Cutoffs
Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?
A:

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

Review of Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology.
Placements: A lot of students were placed last year in mass recruiting companies like HCL, Infosys, and TCS. The highest on campus was around 10 LPA, while the lowest and average are somewhere in the same range, 3 LPA. Students do get internships from companies (like the mass recruiting companies).
Infrastructure: The library (7/10), classrooms - school desks, and a few classes have ACs. All the labs are well-equipped and maintained (10/10). Wi-Fi facility is only in the boys' and girls' rooms. The food quality is mid in the canteen. There are zero sports and games facilities. Students can roam around, walk, sit, and play, but they have to bring sports stuff from their homes.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, knowledgeable, qualified, and nice, except for a few teachers. Semester exams are easily scorable and never too difficult (33% passing criteria). The course curriculum is relevant, and the subjects do help you in your advanced career choices.

An average college with good academics but boring campus life.
Placements: Placements are average at MSIT this year. We can expect the package to range from 4-5 LPA. More than 80 companies visit the college, but they are not willing to take students, maybe due to the recession. In the previous year, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon visited the college, but this year, not a single company visited the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. Windows of classrooms are broken. Fans are not running. AC is installed but not working. When I talked to my friend about hostel facilities, he told me that rooms are not that spacious. There are 4 students in a room, which is too many. Food is not that good.
Faculty: The best part of MSIT is its academics. Teachers are knowledgeable and supportive. The teaching quality is good for almost all teachers, but some have limited knowledge. They are not able to explain it to students. Lab assistants are also helpful. Mid-term is easy, and we can easily score in it. End-semester exam is also not too hard because of the options, but questions are of a good level. The main problem is that they are still teaching DSA in C, so it is somehow difficult to handle C for college and C+ for industry.
Other: If students are going for the CSE, then this college is good. If students are looking for other streams, then they should join another college. There are no events from the college side. There are boring days with no sports events. It just focuses on academics. The connectivity is good. Scholarships are not available in college.

It is a good college in Delhi-NCR with good placement records and a decent college life.
Placements: Placements are good here. We can get an average 5 LPA - 6 LPA if we have skills, which is good in terms of return on investment. The fee here is 6 LPA for the entire B.Tech duration (4 years). The highest package in 2024 was 50 LPA which was very good.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is basic here but it has all the basic needs. The hostel is also pretty average. The campus size is on the smaller side but the location (Janakpuri) is good. We can find everything nearby, and have ease of transport because metro station is also nearby.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and knowledgeable. The college is affiliated with GGSIPU, so the curriculum is also good. Exams are usually just mid-semester (twice) and the semester exams. The course is relevant to the needs which are required by the recruiters. We can gain good skills from our college itself.

Review of MSIT of 2019 pass out of the ECE stream.
Placements: Overall placement is good for the CS and IT streams. For ECE, they call not too big companies. Small companies will come and will give small packages. ECE people have only hope of mass recruiters like Infosys and TCS. So, I advise not to be totally dependent on college for placements.
Infrastructure: The college is old, ancient brick structure-like building, but strong. They need further major upgradation. Overall, the infrastructure is good. Management is improving infrastructure day by day as per the changes required. I have seen drastic changes in infrastructure in terms of betterment during my 4 years.
Faculty: Teachers are some okay, some very bad. Curriculum based on IP University. Exam checking is loose; long paragraphs mean more marks. Hard checking pressures the student for deeper study so that students will understand things more clearly because of the fear of passing.

If you have a choice other than this, don't come to MSIT.
Placements: Current states of placement are just bad. The highest on-campus company was 17LPA. But keeping the feels, JEE Main rank, and current market scenario in account, then it might feel average. The average package is around 5 LPA-6LPA ( used to be 7LPA two years ago, college downfall).
Infrastructure: Too old and school vibes in college, the rooms do not have AC, and the ones with AC are just dead. The canteen is just built and sells just 4 things, which are often burnt or too plain. Sport Facility is just that, you have a ground, no equipment is provided, and you just get scolded. No Wi-Fi, and even data is very rare. The college strictly needs some renovation.
Faculty: The curriculum is similar to most colleges and follows the IPU syllabus, which is not very industry-oriented. It focuses more on theory than practical, job-ready skills. The teachers are decent overall; some are supportive and helpful, while others are average. Semester exams are manageable and not very difficult, with a passing requirement of around 40 percent.
Other: Hopefully, there is no ragging by seniors. Fest happens only once. Connectivity is good. It is in Janakpuri, so there are many cafes nearby. For extracurricular activities, societies will help, but there are just 2-3-4 societies running well, others are just dead or just for name sake.

Dissatisfied because of the poor infrastructure, no co curricular activities, and poor placements.
Placements: About 30 to 40 percent of students are placed on campus. The highest package offered is 20 LPA, the lowest package is of 3 LPA, and the average package offered ranges around 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are ION, TCS, ZS, Cognizant, etc. There are no on-campus opportunities for internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available everywhere, and classes lack infrastructure. The benches are similar to school benches. AC is not available in all classes, and sometimes the lift is also not working. Hostel washrooms are not in good condition, and the quality of food is also below average in the mess and canteen. There is no medical facility on the campus, and sports facilities are also close to none.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, they are qualified and have deep knowledge about their subjects. The teaching quality is great. The course curriculum is totally irrelevant and does not make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are very easy, and the passing percentage is 40.

The admission process for the BTech course at MSIT and JIMS Greater Noida is almost similar. Both colleges accept relevant entrance examination scores for admission to Bachelor of Technology courses. Moreover, both institutes accept valid scores from JEE Mains/IPU CET for admission to BTech courses.
