Commonly asked questions
On JEE Main Cutoffs
Q:   What can students do after JEE Main session 2 result?
A:

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

College is decent. Lab activity is also good, and some teachers are also good.
Placements: In 2026 batch I think the placement percentage is about 40 percent -50 percent including the off-campus. Above 20 LPA is the off-campus package offered, not on-campus. The average package is about 5 LPA-6 LPA. It is mostly offered non-tech. There is a mass recruiting company called TCS that comes to college regularly.
Infrastructure: The hostel is decent. The infrastructure is not good. There is a sports room but there are no sports available just a dummy sports room. In classroom there is a projector which is working too and there is no AC in the classroom but it is available in the labs. There is no Wi-Fi and the library is nice with Wi-Fi facility. Labs are also good, except the PCs are too old in most of the labs but they hang too much, making it very slow.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified but the teaching style is too old-fashioned. The subject is not making any student for industry-ready and the teachers also are not teaching in that style. The exam is held at regular intervals of time with passing marks of 12 in both mid-semester exams.
Other: I am interested in the Computer Science branch which is why I chose this. If in the course the subject will match with the placement, then it's too good. There is also a fest but the budget is too low for that. No famous personality came to college due to poor infrastructure, and also a good thing is that there is a sports meet for all college students as an extracurricular activity.

Best ROI given by a college in Delhi.
Placements: Almost 70-80 percent of students got placed but only 25 percent of students got good placements. The highest package is 37 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is around 4 LPA-6 LPA. ZS, TCS, and Versa are top recruiters. The college won't help you get internships you have to do it on your own. You have to study on your own.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is changing and getting good as a new director will come. Infrastructure is so basic, the library is good, and the hostel is not good as changes happen after the new director came but infrastructure is so average, food is below average, new labs are good but old labs are not so good.
Faculty: Teachers are always helpful but you have to create a good image in front of teachers. Teachers are highly qualified. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are easy to moderate. 40 marks are internal and 60 marks are external marks. You have to score 40 marks total from both external and internal.
Other: In this college, only CSE is good. The lower branches are not good, there are multiple scholarships, like EWS, SC/ST scholarships.

Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology's unique review.
Placements: Placement was not up to mark for the batch that I passed, which was 73% percent only for the Computer Science branch. The top recruiting companies that came to the placement were Accenture, Cognizant, and TCS, and other top service provide company. The average package was 3.5 LPA for my batch. All students got internships, the famous role offered was ASE.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was small but well-maintained, well-connected building with each department, plus it also offered a hostel for both girls and boys for a reasonable price. Also, the classroom was well-equipped with the latest technology.
Faculty: Please keep in mind that courses were outdated and old, well-established to create mouse rat, software engineer. The quality of teaching was decent, I must say.
Other: The total fee for a B.Tech student was approximately 6 lacs, with no concession on the fees. There was no scholarship, but you can apply external scholarship.

Placements-wise, it is decent. The infrastructure lags behind.
Placements: Almost everybody gets placements from what I have observed, no matter what it may be, low. The highest package offered is 1 crore per annum, and the lowest package offered is 2 LPA. As we know, the IT industry is in recession, so considering that placements are not bad.
Infrastructure: We should forget Wi-Fi, but our own mobile network is low. The infrastructure is so old and needs to be updated. Classrooms are not that big. Washrooms and water coolers are also okay, as per the hostel. I don't know much, as I am a day scholar, but what I have heard from hostel people is that it's not that great. In India, all hostels are the same, so we can prefer a PG.
Faculty: Teachers are chill, mostly, but not all of them. Very few teachers, or almost none, know how to teach as they do not have enough knowledge of their subjects. The course curriculum itself is the same as that of the normal IPU colleges and not too updated. We have to develop skills on our own to get placed, so we should not focus on the course curriculum much. Semester exams are easy enough. Mid-semester exams don't matter much. End-semester exams are also not that tough if we study when they are coming near.
Other: Location is nice, so we can definitely explore outside the college.

The smallest college ever, and people here are mostly from Haryana.
Placements: Average placements for CS-IT students are okay, but for ECE, fewer companies visit. The salaries offered are very low, approximately 2–3 LPA, which is like 25–30,000 per month. It will be very difficult to survive even as a bachelor. Off-campus opportunities are a better option for us.
Infrastructure: Fans are not working, desks are broken, and many computer components do not function. Wi-Fi does not work properly. Keyboards are faulty. There is no medical room for first aid. The discipline committee is not effective; they seem to be concerned only about their own reputation.
Faculty: Many assignments are given. Teachers do teach their subjects effectively, but internal marks are given randomly, not based on mid-semester marks or attendance. Marks are often given according to a student’s ability to impress the teacher.
Other: Small campus.

Review of Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology.
Placements: A lot of students were placed last year in mass recruiting companies like HCL, Infosys, and TCS. The highest on campus was around 10 LPA, while the lowest and average are somewhere in the same range, 3 LPA. Students do get internships from companies (like the mass recruiting companies).
Infrastructure: The library (7/10), classrooms - school desks, and a few classes have ACs. All the labs are well-equipped and maintained (10/10). Wi-Fi facility is only in the boys' and girls' rooms. The food quality is mid in the canteen. There are zero sports and games facilities. Students can roam around, walk, sit, and play, but they have to bring sports stuff from their homes.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, knowledgeable, qualified, and nice, except for a few teachers. Semester exams are easily scorable and never too difficult (33% passing criteria). The course curriculum is relevant, and the subjects do help you in your advanced career choices.

The admission process for the BTech course at MSIT and JIMS Greater Noida is almost similar. Both colleges accept relevant entrance examination scores for admission to Bachelor of Technology courses. Moreover, both institutes accept valid scores from JEE Mains/IPU CET for admission to BTech courses.
