Overall, the placements on campus are decent, but if you are looking for something more than decent, you'll have to go for off-campus placements.

Don't take admission in the ECE branch.
Placements: SEE the problem with MSIT was that ECE branch was not even a branch to them only CSE and IT guys get to sit in the good company drives and technical roles and if we talk about core field there will be no company that offers you role in your field vlsi design aur any such thing so, you will be left with third grade sales job. If you were lucky, you might get a chance to sit in some good companies, otherwise you were on your own. The best companies that came were ZS and ION after that none.
Infrastructure: Average outdated college infrastructure, did not allow to sit in common rooms, and also on ground. Labs were outdated with equipments dating back to before your pre-school. Classrooms were the same like government schools with rusted benches, decent hostel with decent facilities.
Faculty: Curriculum wise same standard that every college in India follows for B.Tech. Faculty members, I would say nice. They were very supportive and go the extra mile for you to stay in touch with them even after your college, great people great teachers, they will personally guide you if needed.
Other: You get decent exposure, decent crowd, most of the things will rely on your potential and mindset. There will be people doing better than people from top colleges in India so it's all upto you do not expect much from college.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2024

Really good faculty members and college life.
Placements: I completed my B.Tech in electronics and communication engineering from Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT), Delhi, in the 2024 batch. The program offered a balanced mixture of theoretical foundation and practical exposure in electronics, communication systems, embedded technologies, and interdisciplinary domains like data analytics and programming. In the 2024 placement season, approximately 70-75% of the eligible students in the ECE department were placed through campus drives and off-campus opportunities. The highest package offered was around 12 LPA, while the lowest was approximately 3 LPA. The average package hovered around 5 LPA, with roles spanning both core and software sectors.
Infrastructure: Electronics and communication engineering (ECE) department at Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT) was well-equipped with modern infrastructure and academic resources. Classrooms were spacious, well-lit, and fitted with projectors and whiteboards to support interactive teaching. High-speed Wi-Fi was available across the campus, which supports seamless learning and research activities. The department had fully functional laboratories catering to subjects like digital electronics, analog and digital communication, microprocessors, VLSI, and signal processing. All labs were equipped with updated hardware kits, software tools (Matlab, Xilinx, Multisim), and simulation platform to ensure hands-on learning.
Faculty: Faculty members at Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT) were generally well-qualified, experienced, and supportive. Most professors hold M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees and possess strong subject knowledge in their respective domains. They were approachable and helpful during lectures as well as beyond classroom hours, often guiding students in academic projects, research, and competitive exam preparation. Teaching quality was good and largely focused on conceptual clarity. Many professors use multimedia tools and real-life examples to enhance understanding. While a few faculty members follow traditional methods, most strive to keep the content engaging and application-oriented.

Less fees and decent placement.
Placements: Around 90 percent of the students were placed in 2020-2024 batch. Placements were decent in time of global recession. Highest package was around 52 LPA and lowest was 3.5 LPA. Average would be around 5-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies were TCS and HCL. Mostly CSE and ECE branches were preferred for software developer role. Many students got internships also but data is not disclosed.
Infrastructure: For my course which is ECE labs are decent but equipments in some of the labs are not in working conditions. WiFi connectivity is also slow and classrooms are just basic, not so good. Hostels are below average. But mess food is quite good. And library is also quite decent. Medical facilities are not known.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified and knowledgeable. But lab assistants are not so good. Teachers also help before exam providing suitable theory and learning material for exams. They also provide a pdf of some books helping in theory section. Difficulty level of exams are quite good. It will check all your theory and practical skills.
Other: Fees that you pay for this college will be very low and knowledge you get is good. So it is a quite value for money. Placements are decent you have to prove yourself in the placement. Crowd is also decent since it is located in Delhi. Events are below average. It is near metro station around 1km so connectivity is also good. But there are no extracurricular activities. Campus surrounding is also good. A big park is also there and there is a police station also near the campus. But campus area is small around 8 acres.

The college has a strong placement record, but its infrastructure is average.
Placements: Currently, placement rates in my branch are about 85 to 90%, with others pursuing higher studies. The highest on-campus package was about 30 lacs, and the highest off-campus package was about 50 lacs. Most visits are from electronics companies, focusing on the semiconductor and VLSI sections.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. The institution is a bit old in the B.Teach building. Classes have AC but some are functional and some are not. The hostel has average living conditions with average food but the rooms of the hostel are well maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. Semester exams are a bit tough and test your overall knowledge and IQ. We have industry visits regularly to teach us. The passing mark in college is 40. The course is relevant in some parts and is traditional in some sections.

Good college for average rank.
Placements: I am a fresher so I can't say about my batch. My senior batch had decent placements. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, and many more. Most of them were mass recruiters but students from our college have a history of getting placed in Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, and many of the top companies. As far as I know, most of the seniors got an internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not great. The placements are good but this college highly lacks good infrastructure. There is no Wi-Fi, only some rooms have AC, lifts are 2 decades old and I can go on and on about the negatives because there is nothing positive in this area.
Faculty: The course curriculum is not relevant like in almost all of the colleges. Teachers are helpful and highly qualified but they don't seem to care about students because even they know that the curriculum is almost useless. If you ask them they will help you. Stay away from engineering drawing sir because he is rude and strict. Also, he is sadistic.

Absolutely dissatisfied with college infrastructure, facilities, placements, poor college life.
Placements: The placement rate has been going down year after year, and the average package has fallen in recent years. Most of the high-paying placements are off-campus placements. No company comes to the college for internships.
Infrastructure: Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology has one of the poorest infrastructures in the GGSIPU. There is no Wi-Fi on campus, and some classrooms don't even have fans, let alone air conditioning. There are no sports facilities, and the one canteen is in drastic condition with poor food quality.
Faculty: The faculty at Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology is highly qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful, with a few exceptions. The teachers are good in general, and their teaching quality is commendable. However, the course curriculum is not up to the mark. It is highly theoretical and impractical, and does not prepare students for the industry.
Other: I ended up at Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology because my JEE rank was too low to get into a better college. If you have a decent rank, there's no point in attending this college.

The admission process for the BTech course at MSIT and JIMS Greater Noida is almost similar. Both colleges accept relevant entrance examination scores for admission to Bachelor of Technology courses. Moreover, both institutes accept valid scores from JEE Mains/IPU CET for admission to BTech courses.
