NIIT University BTech Courses & Fees 2026: Admission Dates, Eligibility & Fees

Admission to NIIT University BTech programme is based on academic merit as well as entrance exam scores. Students must satisfy the needed criteria to get admission to the BTech course.

• Selection criteria: The students get admission on the basis of past academic record, performance at the entrance exam.
• Eligiblity: Aspirants aiming to get admission to NIIT BTech programme must have passed Class 10 and 12 with a minimum aggregate of 55% in each grade. Students should also appear for the entrance exams accepted by the university.
• Exams Accepted: The university accepts entrance scores in any of the exams, such as JEE Main, BITSAT, SAT, NEET, and NUAT. Students who dont appear for any of these exams can appear for universty level entrance exam, NUAT for direct entry to the BTech course. Applicants not having any of the above scores the NUAT will be mandatory. However, candidates with a valid score in JEE Main, CUET, SAT, etc. are exempted from appearing for NUAT.
• Application Process: The application process for BTech starts with an online registeration on the official university portal (nucleus.niituniversity.in/register.aspx), Students then need to fill an application form by paying an non-refundable application fee of INR 1500, provide the needed documents. After this an Admission Interaction Process (AIP) begins which requires the students and their parents/ guardians to attend the meeting held with the faculty members.

What is NUAT?

NIIT University Aptitude Test (NUAT) is a university level exam conducted by NIIT University for admission to its UG level courses. This is a Computer based test conducted for a duration of 50 mins. BTech students are advised to take part in NUAT as the better of the two scores (second being NUAT) will be considered.

NIIT University offers scholarships and fee waivers to the studetns on the basis of merit depending on the candidate’s academic performance or their performance in entrance examinations, the university even provides a full waiver on tuition fees. NU provides a total of six different scholarships, some of them are mention below:

• Special Scholarship: This is offered to top performers of the country who get a full tuition waiver for the entire program duration. Toppers in JEE (Main), BITSAT, State Board or CBSE are considered.
• NU Scholar Search Program: This is a performance-based scholarship on tuition fee for those who have excellent academic performance in class 10 and 12th or JEE Mains, SAT, CUET, BITSAT, NEET. Students get fee waiver amount in the range of INR 50k - 2 lakh.
• Scholarship for Co-curricular Excellence (CoX): This is an entire program scholarship for students who have shown excellence in any co-curricular activity like sports, Fine Arts, Theatre, Dance, Social service and music. Students who want to apply for this NIIT university scholarship must have received individual awards.
• Special Scholarship for women: This is a special scholarship for women student applicants called the WOMEN IN STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) scholarship will be provided. The Women in STEAM scholarship, carrying an amount of Rs. 15,000/- annually, is applicable to all women applicants.
• Special Fee Waivers: This is another entire-program duration fee waiver for those who are:
  • Part of NIIT University ecosystem or NIIT group of companies
  • Ward of Armed Forces Personnel (Indian Army, Indian Navy or Indian Air Force)
  • Domiciled in Rajasthan
  • Female students (eligible for STEM scholarship fee waiver)
  • SC/OBC/ST categories
