Admissions to the Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training (MANET) are determined by UGC rules, AICTE regulations, and DG Shipping policies. Admission to the full-time MANET BTech (Marine Engineering), BTech (Lateral Entry), and BSc (Nautical Science) programs is determined by the results of the most recent qualifying exam and the IMUCET score. - Shortlisting Candidates- 1. Applicants will be shortlisted based on their PCM marks and Medical fitness as per the DGS norms and they will be called to MANET, Pune campus to confirm their admission in the month of June-July (tentatively)
2. Online document verification and admission confirmation will be done through the mail (this might fluctuate later)
- Personal Interview- Applicants are interviewed (through online/offline mode depending on the COVID-19 situation) by a panel of educators and maritime professionals to assess the applicant’s communication skills, leadership potential, clarity of thought, maturity and reasoning abilities. The panel will also scrutinise the candidate for any extracurricular achievements of the candidate.
- Medical Examination- Medical doctors appointed by DG Shipping will examine all selected candidates for certifying confirmation with the medical requirements laid down by the Institute.
- Documents Submission- The candidate needs to submit the list of mandatory documents at the time of admissions
