A good opportunity for a great start.
Placements: I am studying at MIT, Manipal, ECE, in my first year. As of now, it is a great start, and I talked to many seniors, to summarize, I can say 90% placement in core streams. 99% placements in CSE, but it depends on your hard work, whether you are going in list of students who are not placed, and ample opportunities are given for higher studies.
Infrastructure: I stay in hostel block 5, room is small, but comfortable and sufficient. Moreover, depending on how you study, you get a choice of rooms, like if you are studying really good you have plenty of options in rooms like AC, non-AC, single seater, double seater, triple seater. But if you are not studying good and your CGPA is low, you have fewer options in room or sometimes the worst option or even no options, but then all rooms are good, it depends upon your needs. There is free Wi-Fi too.
Faculty: All instructions are given clearly, and we also get a trial chance to do everything, like answering a question or doing something in the lab. Student-to-teacher ratio is great, such that we can spend even 2 hours with them in their cabins. We also have multiple teachers in same subject, so we have an option to go to whichever teacher we like to solve our doubts. Whole syllabus is set in a way such that you need not go for extra coaching for GATE or other higher education entrance exams.
Other: Campus crowd is not a thing to worry about, if you have seen the crowd in VIT.

M.Tech. in Computer Science and Information Security - Batch of 2023
3.2

Decent college with okay placements and basic facilities.
Placements: I am from M.Tech Electronics batch of MIT. About 60% students were placed. Highest package was 12 LPA, lowest salary package was 3 LPA, and average package was around 5.5 LPA. Companies like Infosys, TCS, and Qualcomm came. 40% got internships at Wipro, Bosch, etc. Roles were mostly developer and analyst.
Infrastructure: Our depth had good labs, Wi-Fi, and classrooms with projectors. Library also had enough books. Hostel was okay-okay, the rooms were a little small. Food in mess was not so good, but canteen was better. Medical help was available, but slow. A sports ground was there, but not much equipment.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and knew things, but some did not teach well. Teaching quality is mixed. Syllabus was mostly relevant but not fully industry-type. Exams were a bit hard, need to study. Pass percent was around 75%. Some subjects were tough, some easy. It's quite good.
Other: I am from M.Tech Electronics batch. I chose this course because I like electronics and tech. Best part is lab work and some good teachers. But syllabus needs to be updated and include more projects. Fests happen, crowd is mixed, campus is fine. Need better Wi-Fi and more activities.

M.Tech. in Construction Engineering and Management - Batch of 2021

My honest review of my college.
Placements: Placements and job opportunities are pretty good, as much as compared to the best engineering colleges in India. The recruiting companies are Amazon, Microsoft, Google, GE, Yamaha, Honeywell, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Maruti, Goldman Sachs, and many more. The packages for core roles go up to 18 LPA, the average is around 6 LPA, and MRCs offer around 3- 3.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostels are much better compared to other colleges, with the infrastructure and the kind of facilities provided. There are enough rooms to fit in all the students, plus all options all available, like single (AC/non-AC) and double (AC/non-AC). The mess food is good in terms of hygiene, but for obvious reasons, it becomes boring if you eat there every day.
Faculty: There is specialized faculty for every subject. Most of them have a Ph.D. or a minimum of a Master's in the subject they teach. The faculty is very much interested in helping students who are actually interested. Motivating and keen on students going into the research side and developing things rather than simply looking for jobs. The structure consists of a total of 100 marks per subject in a semester. The first sessional is 20 marks, the second sessional is 20 marks, and again, 5 assignment tests (2 marks each) for 10 marks. The semester examination is of 50 marks. This is the structure for every theory subject in all semesters. The course structure is good enough in terms of understanding the concept, but it is not up to the mark when it comes to focusing on research. The selection of electives is based on the CGPA, and students with higher CGPAs usually fill the seats for more preferred electives.

Overall good if you have money and want to have the time of your life.
Placements: My batch has 250 students. Top companies visit are Goldman Sachs and Microsoft but very few are selected even for internships. I do not have any idea about the lowest but the highest don't cross more than 30 LPA median somewhere lies about 10 LPA a very small percentage around 10% or 20% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Its fine mess is ood rooms are good but Wi-Fi is *** as said before the life in manipal kind luxury u get good rooms the courts for badminton and basketball over here is also good mess is pretty good there are major 4 messes and people can also buy food from there all campus is pretty beautiful u also got many places nearby to explore.
Faculty: Faculty members are somewhat fine depending on your branch. Teachers in the CSE department are somewhat good. I don't know about other departments. Course curriculum now is pretty good initially when I was in the first year it was not that good but in the second year, students started teaching important things.
Other: As it is private college fees are high but college life over here is crazy. Full Student Of The Year vibe.

Great infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: Last year was the first outgoing batch of my branch, and to my knowledge, 60-65% were placed. The highest package was around 35 LPA. The top recruiters were TCS and Infosys. Around 30% got internships in companies like Amazon, Nvidia, etc. Top roles were AI developers or software developers.
Infrastructure: Multiple labs with fast Wi-Fi for various subjects. Spacious classrooms and also all lectures are recorded. The food they give is a bit bland, but it is balanced and has many meal facilities with different types of food available. Hostel rooms are good with regular maintenance. Various sports facilities, including football, basketball, cricket grounds, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and skillful at what they teach and help students individually if needed. Provide important materials and external sources to learn from. Course curriculum is designed to cater to the current world requirements and technologies. The sem exams are application-based and test your fundamentals of the subject.

Overall, decent college with good infrastructure and bad placements.
Placements: Around 32% of the mechanical branch intake is placed while around 51% of total students are placed. The highest package is around 60 LPA, the lowest is around 1 LPA, and the average package is around 20 LPA. Top recruiters are Honeywell, Deloitte, Microsoft, JPMorgan, etc. Top role of any student is class representative in a branch, whereas in a student club the top position is on the board of members.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are air-conditioned with Wi-Fi. 5 academic blocks are present, all with air-conditioned classrooms. Most labs are air-conditioned apart from mechanical and chemical. Hostel facilities are above average, depending on your rank in MET hostel is allotted in grounds, if you have a good rank, you get to choose better hostel blocks i.e. single rooms with AC, certain blocks have an elevator 11-story means blocks. Wide variety of mess options to choose from, menu in each mess varies daily or weekly. I would recommend opting for the mess run by TIK. Sports facilities are plenty, Arena has the best facilities but you have to pay.
Faculty: Most teachers are good and experienced, some are approachable. Most have PhDs. Course Curriculum is relevant and up to date. Credits are allotted based on the program, around 40-50 credits per year. Students are made industry-ready by the course and are exposed to much learning by student clubs and especially student projects like TMR, Formula Manipal, RoboManipal, MRM, ThrustMIT, and AeroMit to name a few. Semester exams in 1st year are the same for all, the ease of exams depends on your prep in 11th and 12th and your ability to self-study. Pass percentage is around 80%.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering at MIT as it seemed like one of the most up-to-date colleges when it comes to mechanical engineering and also because of the proximity of the college to my hometown. College has its fair share of vice, like drug use, alcohol abuse, etc., and not much strict action is taken. Also, PDA is very much allowed anywhere on campus and even in classrooms. Fests on campus are held frequently and to a large extent. Participation is in large numbers. The scholarship is availed based on MET rank and CGPA in subsequent years, so maintain your grades. Lots of extracurricular activities are conducted. I would say this is the best college for it.
