MIT Manipal, one of the best tier 2 private colleges, is an absolutely cinema college.
Placements: For electronics and communications, you can expect 75-80% of students to be placed, average packages range around 11-12 LPA, and the highest goes to 55 LPA for software roles. Top recruitment companies are Deloitte, TCS, and JP Morgan for management roles, and Microsoft takes a great number of students. Internships are given to 30% of students, as an estimate. Top roles are for VLSI, telecommunication, and SDE.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is exceedingly good, though restrictive, and it works fine. Labs and classrooms are top-notch, but the library lacks a little, it is very overcrowded, and a lot of the crowd is there for time pass. Overall, it's great as an environment. The hostels are good, and for the mess, the food is decent and edible, not like those government hostels. Sports facilities don't lack even a bit. All sports are available, and the cost isn't that much.
Faculty: Professors are helpful, mostly non-egoistic, and help throughout. The teaching quality is great, and the teachers do help and actually put in effort. The curriculum might be a little old, but practical learning is offered by student projects and learning clubs. Semester exams are hard; they do make you go through a rough time. The pass percentage is roughly 85-90%.
Other: I decided to choose this course to enter the VLSI industry; the course is highly in demand and can help you get into any field of electronics as well if you want to pursue careers like finance and management. Maybe the faculty can be improved a little for my specific course. Events, etc., are very good; all kinds of singers come for the fests, and mostly fests are free as MAHE conducts 6-7 fests all through the year, so you won't be bored in this college. Scholarships are offered to a lot of people.

A good opportunity for a great start.
Placements: I am studying at MIT, Manipal, ECE, in my first year. As of now, it is a great start, and I talked to many seniors, to summarize, I can say 90% placement in core streams. 99% placements in CSE, but it depends on your hard work, whether you are going in list of students who are not placed, and ample opportunities are given for higher studies.
Infrastructure: I stay in hostel block 5, room is small, but comfortable and sufficient. Moreover, depending on how you study, you get a choice of rooms, like if you are studying really good you have plenty of options in rooms like AC, non-AC, single seater, double seater, triple seater. But if you are not studying good and your CGPA is low, you have fewer options in room or sometimes the worst option or even no options, but then all rooms are good, it depends upon your needs. There is free Wi-Fi too.
Faculty: All instructions are given clearly, and we also get a trial chance to do everything, like answering a question or doing something in the lab. Student-to-teacher ratio is great, such that we can spend even 2 hours with them in their cabins. We also have multiple teachers in same subject, so we have an option to go to whichever teacher we like to solve our doubts. Whole syllabus is set in a way such that you need not go for extra coaching for GATE or other higher education entrance exams.
Other: Campus crowd is not a thing to worry about, if you have seen the crowd in VIT.

All you need to know about Manipal before coming to Manipal.
Placements: The placement rate of ECE students is close to 80-85%. Top companies like Snyder Electronics, Being, Tata, and Wipro come for placements. You can also sit for interviews from other companies like Microsoft and Goldman Sachs. The average salary offered is 12 LPA. Internships are offered to students in the third year and placed students from the fourth year.
Infrastructure: There are around 25 hostels. It depends on which block you take. Newer blocks are better. For first-year boys, blocks 16, 17, 5, 6, and 10 are offered. For first-year girls, blocks 3, 4, 22, and 7 are offered. There are 6-7 messes handled by three different companies. Indian kitchen handle FC2, Apurva, Aditya, and Ashreya chief on wheel handle Ananya and Anapoorna, and Quess handle by FC1. There are night canteens as well which operate till 2 at night. The library is a four-storied building with the ground floor used as a reading library. There is a group study hall and an individual study hall on the second floor.
Faculty: The curriculum overlaps with most of the other colleges, including IITs and NITs. There are two main exams conducted per semester, mid-semester and end-semester. Total marks per subject is 100 (50 internals + 50 external). Mid-semester consists of 30 marks for the internals, and the rest is covered by quizzes and assignments.
Other: There are three main fests on the campus. Techtatva is the techfest of Manipal. It takes place in the month of September or October. MS Manipal Entrepreneurship Summit takes place in the month of January, and it is organised by Cell Manipal. Revel is the cultural fest of Manipal and takes place in March. Multiple artists are invited for this fest.

Placements: 60% of students get placed. Top recruiting companies include Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Tata, Wipro, etc. The roles offered depend on which companies you apply for. The highest package is 42 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. My course is Electronics and Communication Engineering, a batch of 2023-27.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the academic section and all hostels. Labs, classrooms, and hostels are well-equipped with AC and have very fancy infrastructure, as most buildings are newly constructed or renovated. The life and quality of the hostel are great. The mess is available near all blocks. The food is decent, and night canteens are also available. Medical facilities are available 24/7. All sports grounds are there on campus, including a swimming pool.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They provide help even during non-teaching hours. You can also contribute to research projects under their guidance. Exams are not difficult to crack, even if you study 10 days before. The pass percentage depends on the subject. The course curriculum includes soft and hard skills, which prepare you for real-life opportunities and projects.
Other: If you truly want to enjoy your college life, come to Manipal.

Placements: My batch is 2023-2027 electronics and communication. The percentage of students who placed is 60%. The highest package is 18 LPA. The lowest is 5 LPA. The average package offered is 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Tata, Goldman Sachs, and many others. Top roles offered are mostly in the chip industry and other students applied for software roles.
Infrastructure: There are 25 hostels for both girls and boys. Wi-Fi is available on all hostel premises. There is very good infrastructure of labs and classrooms with AC and smart boards for displaying. The library is big. It has a 4 floor structure. The mess and night canteens are available in almost all blocks. Night canteens are open till 2 AM. The mess food quality is nice. All sports are available on campus grounds and pool.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. They help us even during non-teaching hours. A mentor is there for every 5 students, so they can approach them for any query related to academic and non-academic issues. The course curriculum has both soft skills and hard skills which are necessary to solve real-life problems. There are mandatory projects we need to do. Semesters are of moderate difficulty. The pass percentage varies from subject to subject.
Other: Manipal is known for its college life, fests and events. Revel and MS Utsav are yearly fests that take place. Many entrepreneurs, music artists, and people perform and guide the students. We can easily communicate with colleagues. It is very easy to get into the environment. There is nothing more I would want to add to this college life. It is a 360 degree complete fun.
