Honest review of Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE.
Placements: The placement states are pretty good here. The ROI of the college is also impressive. The placement rate of the college is about 92%. The average package is 20 LPA. The highest package is 84 LPA and the lowest package is 6 LPA. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Dell, etc., visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided by the college is top-notch. There is Wi-Fi around the whole campus of 313 acres. Labs are well-equipped with modern instruments and classrooms are well-maintained. The library is of 4 floors, which is quite large and we can study there at any time we want.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and experienced. They are helpful in times of need. The course curriculum is designed for the latest updates around the world. It makes students knowledgeable of the latest discoveries and modern technology. It also provides good insight for job seekers.
Other: In my opinion, MIT provides the best campus life as there are people from various cities around India and many foreign students as well. There are many beaches around Manipal which one can visit. There are so many clubs and bars which can be visited on weekends.

An honest perspective about life at MIT Manipal.
Placements: The placement statistics so far have been decent compared to the market expectations right as of now. In 2024, 73% of students have been placed, with over 220 companies visiting the campus. The highest package offered so far was 51.03 LPA, while the average was about 10.49 LPA and the median at 8.48 LPA. Top recruiters include major names like Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, and Morgan Stanley. Internships have also been decent, with a 90% placement rate for internships. Some common roles offered are Software Engineer and Cloud Analyst.
Infrastructure: MIT has solid facilities with well-equipped labs and good classrooms which support hands-on learning. There’s a good mix of resources. Hostels are decent, and the food is surprisingly impressive for an engineering college. The options available on campus and off-campus are genuinely great. In terms of medical facilities, we have a student clinic on campus and KMC, MIT’s own hospital right outside the gate. There are sports leagues for almost all games, including cricket, football, and badminton, which add a competitive edge to campus life.
Faculty: Most teachers at MIT are really knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. While teaching quality can vary among branches and batches, there are definitely some professors that stand out who make a big impact by making classes engaging and inspiring. The curriculum has plenty of relevant content that prepares students for the industry with hands-on projects and homework assignments. Although semesters can be challenging, a good chunk of the questions are doable with the right knowledge of the previous year patterns. They encourage you to really dive into the material and do your best. Overall, the environment is super helpful and helps students grow both academically and personally.

The MIT Life- A bird eye view of MIT, Manipal.
Placements: I am currently in the middle of placements here. The past records are pretty decent, with about 80 percent people getting placed. The highest package is about 52 LPA, while the lowest is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Being, Infosys, Uber, Blackrock, etc. The top roles offered here are IT roles, core roles, management roles, etc.
Infrastructure: There are a lot of facilities available for all the branches at the college. The classrooms are excellent, all of them being well maintained and well structured. The labs are a little outdated but are pretty decent. The whole campus is surrounded by Wi-Fi and has a decent rate of 40 Mbps. The hostels are one of the best across the country, with rooms ranging from shared to single. Most of the rooms have attached washrooms. The mess food is also better than most across the country, and all in all, the facilities are pretty good.
Faculty: The faculty is pretty helpful here, ranging from mediocre to excellent. The course structure is decent, although theoretical knowledge is given more importance as compared to practical knowledge, at least in classrooms. The students have to put in extra effort to become industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate, and the students can score pretty well if they prepare well enough. The pass percentage is around 70–80 percent.

The campus is quite big and beautiful.
Placements: Most of the people go for further studies and rest 90 percent of them are placed. Many core companies as well IT companies come every year. 32 lpa is the highest and 4 lpa is the lowest. Microsoft is the top company visited. Many people go for the core placements rather than IT. High package is from the computer branches.
Infrastructure: Very good hostels and Wi-Fi with quite decent food. There are many hostels for boys and girls as well and all of them are clean. There are almost 5 messes and all of them are pretty good. They have different menu every week and with very continental dish as well.
Faculty: The curriculum is quite good but the exams happen often. The curriculum is industry related and its very important as an EEE engineer. The teachers are very experienced and helpful. The semester exams are not that difficult but sometimes the relative grading can be different.
Other: Campus life is the one of the best part of this college.

Our college gives great social life.
Placements: As it is a tier 2 college, a great range of companies visits our campus every year. Some companies only allow students of the EEE branch but most of them allow all. Students of lower branches get great salary packages. A student got placed with a salary package of 1.3 CPA from the AEEE branch. The average salary package offered this year was 10 LPA and students get offers from companies like Microsoft, Amazon, HP, Dell, etc. The lowest salary package varies around 4 LPA to 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good Wi-Fi facilities in every hostel. Labs are equipped with good equipment. Classrooms have projectors and are fully air-conditioned. Each class can accommodate up to 100 people. The library is big. There is a separate building with an auditorium and a group study hall. Hostels are great that give a classic hostel experience with common bathrooms and triple-sharing rooms with a common area and air conditioning. Many types of hostel rooms are provided. Mess food is good. There is an evening snack time and a special month-end lunch. They charge the same for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items. Canteens are cheap and easily accessible. Students can order online. KMC hospital card is provided for all the medical facilities that provide free consultation services. All sports and games facilities are available with TT rooms in hostels.
Faculty: Many teachers in our college are helpful, knowledgeable, and qualified. Many of them hold Ph.D. and solve doubts whenever needed. The course curriculum for first-year students is somewhat relevant but they teach subjects like physics and chemistry. More than 60% of students pass the semester exams and the rest fail in 1 or 2 subjects. Exams are fairly easy. Students get enough marks by preparing for a week.

Placement wise, I think CSE is the best branch to go for. But even for EEE offered by the main campus about 70 percent of the students are already placed. Choose the branch that suits your interest, placements are always relative.

120 is the par score. As far as placement is concerned EEE has a good average package, about Rs 6-7 lakhs.

Yes you will definitely get a seat in any of the campus. Regarding the branch I think you will get upto electronics and communication and you might get upgraded to computer science in the internal sliding.

Jaipur campus is relatively new as compared to the main one. Hence placements are better in the main one but again placements and package are relative factors depending upon the choice of your branch and your personal interest and capabilities also.

Marks and the ranks tend to not remain fixed every year. But approximately 110 and above will make EEE available to you.
