Yes, the National Institute of Fashion Technology will allow candidates with late fees. The late fee application window will open once the deadline to fill out the NIFT 2024 application form with regular fee closes. The start and last date to fill out the NIFT 2024 application form with late fee will be notified by the institute before the regular application form closes or sometime thereabout. The late fee for NIFT 2024 will be INR 5,000. The late fee has to be paid in addition to the application fee, which is INR 3000 for open category candidates.

The NIFT General Ability Test (GAT) for the B. Des is conducted as a LAN-based, CBT exam. The exam is conducted in a centre-based mode and is bilingual. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes. The candidates will have to attempt 100 multiple-choice questions, which will be asked from sections like Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability, and GK and Current Affairs. The GAT paper will be conducted first, followed by the Creative Ability Test (CAT). Candidates will be shortlisted for a Studio Test and Personal Interview (2nd stage) based on their performance in the written exams (CAT and GAT).

Candidates applying for NIFT Delhi have to register for the entrance test on the institute's website. NIFT Delhi admission to BDes course is based on performance of the candidates in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). Selected  candidates are then required to appear for the Situation Test, conducted by NIFT for BDes admission.

The fee structure is inclusive of different components, such as tuition fees, hostel fees, refundable security deposit, registration fee, etc. A few of these components are one-time chargeable, while some have to be paid annually or semester-wise. For NIFT Delhi B.Des admission, candidates must have passed Class 12 from any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education/ State Board New Delhi/ Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. A passing grade in the Senior Secondary School examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects is also eligible to apply for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi. 

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Delhi admits students to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses based on their NIFT entrance exam scores. As per the NIFT Delhi cutoff 2025, the Round 1 closing rank for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme ranged between 54 and 800 for the students belonging to the General All India category. Among all the specialisations, B.Des. in Fashion Communication was the most competitive, with the lowest cutoff rank of 54. NIFT Delhi B.Des admission 2023 is based on candidates' performance in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates on the basis of CAT/ GAT test scores are then required to appear for the Situation Test, conducted by NIFT for B.Des admission. Candidate should not exceed 24 (29 years for SC/ ST/ PWD category students) years of age as on August 1 of the year of admission to be eligible for NIFT Delhi B.Des admission.
