No, the admission criteria for the BDes programme is entrance-based. NIFT Delhi BDes course admission is granted based on applicants performance in the NIFT Entrance Exam. NIFT Delhi B.Des admission 2023 is based on candidates' performance in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates on the basis of CAT/ GAT test scores are then required to appear for the Situation Test, conducted by NIFT for B.Des admission. Candidate should not exceed 24 (29 years for SC/ ST/ PWD category students) years of age as on August 1 of the year of admission to be eligible for NIFT Delhi B.Des admission.
