at NIFT Jodhpur, Jodhpur

The written tests for the NIFT 2024 exam was held on February 5, 2024. The written tests comprised a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). GAT is mandatory for all candidates, but CAT is only required for B. Des and M. Des candidates. 

The GAT test will be considered in a computer-based mode, whereas the CAT will be offline based. Note that scores of the written exams will be used to shortlist candidates for a Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

NIFT 2024 tentatively in the 1st week of November 2023. The application form will open online at niftadmissions. In. The National Institute of Fashion Technology will also release the detailed admission notification, including the eligibility criteria, at the time of release of the application form or sometime thereabout. Candidates who meet the precribed eligibility criteria for their programme can fill out the NIFT 2024 application form before the last date. Note that NIFT application form will be for admission to the B. Des, M.Des B.FTech M.FTech and MFM courses offered by participating colleges.

NIFT entrance examination is Institutional based examination which will only help you to get into NIFT whereas UCEED is a common Entrance Examination which is accepted by many design colleges and universities. So if you plan to get into only NIFT then you do have to give NIFT Entrance Exam but if you plan to apply in many universities then UCEED is a better option as you'll have many university choices and you can get admission on the basis of UCEED score.

At the undergraduate level, NIFT Jodhpur offers a Bachelor of Design programme to students. The basic eligibility criteria to apply for the Bachelor of Design programme at NIFT Jodhpur is to pass Class 12 from a recognised board or pass a three or four-year Diploma recognised by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) or the State Board of Technical Education. Apply for admission to various undergraduate programmes as soon as the admission opens. The seats are limited and the candidates applying for admission are many. So prepare well in advance for a successful admission.

NIFT Jodhpur accepts NIFT entrance exam scores for admission to the B.Des courses. NIFT Jodhpur 2024 cutoff was released up to Round 5 wherein the closing ranks ranged between 1290 and 2342 for the General AI category students. So, considering the last round NIFT cutoff, candidates must secure a rank up to 2342 to be eligible for NIFT Jodhpur B.Des admission.
