The college has good infrastructure, knowledgeable faculty, and good placements.

Placements: 80% of students got placed in our Mechatronics course. Our course is the best in the current generation for future engineers. The highest salary offered is 1 per month, and the lowest salary is Rs. 30,000 per month. Many companies visit the college to hire Mechatronics course students. 80% of students got internships in my course. Some multinational companies visit the college and hire many students from this course.

Infrastructure: Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology is a good college, and Mechatronics is the best course. Classrooms are good, and the library is awesome. The hostel facilities are the worst. The food is the worst. Sports and games are average. The food is average in the hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are good and knowledgeable at the Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology. Mechatronics course curriculum is relevant to robotics, designing, and manufacturing. Semester exams are good in our college. 90% is the pass percentage in our course.

Other: In this generation, the Mechatronics course has high chances of getting a job, and I like robotics, so I chose this course.

Good Placements and Good faculty members.

Placements: More than 70% percentage of students are placed in my class. If you have enough skills, you will be placed in a good company. Do 4 to 5 internships and workshops. Grow your skills. If you have 75% percentage marks, you will definitely be placed in a good company, with about 3 to 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: I am a Hosteller. Hostel rooms are good. Wi-Fi will be provided in the hostel. Upma, Dosa, Chapati, Idly, Tea will be provided as Morning Tiffin. A Good Price Will Be Provided for Lunch. Evening snacks will be provided. At night, they provide poor, dosa, or a price as dinner. Weekly two times they serve non-veg. Tastes are decent. Canteen foods are good. Prices are minimum.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are friendly. I am a mechatronics engineering student. My department's faculty members are very good teachers. They are so helpful. They are very helpful when you are doing any extracurricular activities. If you ask any doubts, they will clear immediately. Other department staff are also good.

Other: They conduct 1 or 2 Events every month, it will be fun and some knowledgeable competitions are conducted.

Good faculty members and good infrastructure.

Placements: If you don't have any arrears, you will definitely be placed in a company. If you score more than 75%, you will be placed in reputed companies. Many seniors have been placed in reputed companies like Paytm, Byjus, etc. Faculty members are helpful in placements and also refer to good companies.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are good, and labs have many equipments. The college has one cafeteria, two food courts, and one stationary shop. The food in food courts is also good. Lab faculty members are helpful, and we can freely experiment without any disturbance. Lab faculty members are concerned about our safety.

Faculty: Faculty members are helpful and friendly. We can clear doubts at any time. Teachers' capacity is awesome. They conduct two internals and one model exam. We need to score at least 50 in each and submit two assignments to get 20 marks. Additionally, 10 marks are allocated for behavior. So, we can get 100 marks in internal.

Other: Basically, I am interested in Robotics and Automation, so I chose this course.

Good college with good atmosphere and infrastructure.

Placements: Placement training is given to the students. Few students have been selected for Amazon. Most of them go for higher studies. Overall placements of college are somewhat okay. Separate coaching is given for placement training. Training is conducted once a week for 3rd and final-year students.

Infrastructure: College is well located with good atmosphere and infrastructure. The classroom is maintained well. A separate building for the library is provided. It has a large number of books. The hostel also has a separate block with a good atmosphere and infrastructure. The food of the hostel is moderate.

Faculty: Faculty members are well knowledgeable. Overall, the education provided is good. My department has been university rank holders for the past 6 years.

Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology is a good place to study.

Placements: Our college provides good placements. Students with good scores and additional skills can get placed with a minimum package of 2.5 LPA, even if they have backlogs. The college has a placement cell called NCPIR - Nehru College Placement and Industry Relations.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is superb, but the college is far from Coimbatore. The campus has many cafeterias named spicey village, Arabian flames, ice cream parlour etc. All the laboratories are well-equipped, but the end of the semester students will be fine with the infrastructure.

Faculty: The faculty members are good, but they are only 3 to 4 years elder than UG students. But, the faculty members are experts in their subjects, and some of the faculty members are not able to handle the subjects. All the staff in our college are friendly and encourage the students. The student-faculty ratio is good compared to other colleges.

Other: Our college organises many events and fests. The campus crowd and its connectivity are good. A cultural fest is organised every month because 7 colleges are present in NGI Coimbatore campus, where many people are under one roof. I think we have a 6-in-one campus. The cultural event conducted in the college is extraordinary.

Placements: They try to place every student. My point of view is near 60% place in placement. The lowest CTC is 1.2 LPA, and the highest CTC is 3.6 LPA. There are no core companies for mechanical and mechatronics. Many it related companies visit and BPO's, for example, TCS, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Sutherland's, IBM, these are the big companies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good. Sports students please don't take this college, because there is no ground in college. Hostel facility was average. Wi-Fi facility provides only in campus and girls hostel and boy hostels, there is no Wi-Fi. Classrooms are neat and clean but there is no projector in every class and each department has 2 projectors. Library the only good in this college. The college was 10 km out of the city, and this is the major problem. Bus facility by the college is good.

Faculty: In the mechanical and aeronautical branch, the faculty members are more experienced and they have good knowledge. Other branches faculty members are average except one are two staff. Teaching methods as same as school. The student to the faculty ratio in every department is 40: 1. Every year, they conduct the industrial visit.

Other: I had started my journey towards this college from Rajapalayam, but many of my contemporaries are not from such backgrounds and we don't know what “Mechatronics” is. The students are not made aware of all the emerging technologies through the basics taught by our mentors. They did not teach things with in-depth knowledge and that made me fascinated towards electronics based automation and control. Though I am not academically sound, this college hasn't given me enough space and facility to develop my technical and practical knowledge. I'm not even motivated for clearing my backlogs. They are interested in making graduates rather than engineers. Surfing the internet is my hobby and this college has got nothing for students so that they can Google wherever they want. Our classrooms and labs are not adjacent to each other and all of us are restricted from spending our leisure hours in labs to experiment what we have learnt that very day.

Other: I entered this college due to my interest in mechatronics engineering. When a year passed, this institution has made me feel like it has got a wide horizon where everyone is expected to be an expert in different domains to be a successful person. O Every week, we get counselling from our mentors who teach beyond the classroom. Most of the classes are taken with the aid of PPTs. The institution also encourages students for new and innovative business plans by conducting many events related to it. Enough chances are given to reach out to other colleges for competitions. Placements are good, but the number of mechatronics related companies visiting our campus has to be improved. Different types of people are studying in the institution, so the campus life is colourful and simply fantastic. To someone who expects to groom themselves as an all-rounder rather than a degree holder, Nehru is the best choice.
