NIT Kurukshetra BTech admission is based on the entrance exam. Candidates who want admission must first meet the basic criteria for eligibility and then take the entrance exam. NIT Kurukshetra BTech admissions are based on JEE Main scores, followed by JoSAA counselling. Candidates must secure a 90% or above percentile to get admission to BTech courses offered by NIT Kurukshetra. The basic eligibility criteria to get admission to NIT Kurukshetra is to pass Class 12 with a 75% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject.
The application fee for each streams and year varies every year. The fee also depends on different categories. Application form is there on the college page. After filling all the details & uploading the required documents, the students need to pay the fee at the last step. Once the fee is paid, the application is successfully submitted.
NIT Kurukshetra offers admission to the BTech courses through JEE Main, followed by JoSAA and CSAB Counselling. For MTech admission, NIT Kurukshetra accepts a GATE score. Yes, NIT Kurukshetra offers various scholarships to its students. NIT Kurukshetra students can avail of Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for SC students, and Alumni Association Scholarships.
There are various scholarships under Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, such as the OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship, which is given to the first three toppers (Engineering) and the first ten (Management) on the basis of performance.
The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for SC students offers 26 merit scholarships, and 52 merit-cum-means scholarships are awarded by the institute for each year of BTech degree courses. In addition to these, National Scholarships, Post-metric Scholarship, and many other stipends are awarded by various Government institutions and other agencies.
NITK also offers Alumni Association awards. There are 5 scholarships (one each in the disciplines of Civil, Computer, Electronics Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering) of the value of INR 2400 per annum that are open to all regular BTech students of the institute.
The fee structure is different for different courses based on the field, level and duration of the courses. Extra fees like hostels can also be added in the yearly fee structure if one opts for it. NIT Kurukshetra gives BTech and MTech programmes, as well as MBA, MCA, and PhD programmes across Engineering, Sciences and Humanities and Social Sciences streams.
