NIT Manipur Admission Overview 2026
NIT Manipur admissions are primarily entrance-based. BTech is the flagship course of NITM, admission to which is based on JEE Main rank followed by JoSAA/ CSAB Counselling. For other courses such as MTech and MSc, GATE and IIT JAM scores are considered for admission, respectively. NIT Manipur offers courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels. Non-GATE and Non-IIT JAM students can also get admission by passing the writen test conducted by the institute. NIT Manipur also conducts a written test/ interview for admission in PhD. Candidates are required to fill out the application form the respective exams followed by the institute form, if required.

Candidates have to apply for JEE Main and GATE for admission in BTech and MTech courses, respectively. Selection
On its flagship course of BTech, NIT Manipur also takes students with a valid JEE Main score. JoSAA Counselling allocates seats to the candidates.
