Ph.D. in Civil Engineering 

at NIT Meghalaya, Shillong

NIT Meghalaya offers both full-time and part-time PhD programme. The PhD programmes has around  eight department which offers multiple area of studies. The departments are namely:

• Civil Engineering
• Computer Science & Engineering
• Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Physics
• Chemistry 
• Mathematics

The total tuition fee of the M.Tech programme at IIIT Bhagalpur is INR 6,500. These fees are excluded of other fees that are payable only at the time of admission. Other than the programme fee candidates have to pay a application fee for the GATE exam while registering for the exam. The applicatipn fees are : 

NIT Meghalaya offers BTech, MTech, MSc and PhD courses. NIT Meghalaya BTech is provides solid Engineering training in various specialisations. Popular specialisations include Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, among others.

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

NIT Meghalaya doesn't have any direct admissionn option. To apply in the PG courses at NIT Meghalaya candiates must have valid national level entrance scores and participate in the counselling process.  However, for the PhD and sponsored courses, candidates can apply via the NIT Meghalaya's official website and appear for the PI/written test.

The lowest package offered in NIT Meghalaya placements 2024 was INR 3 LPA. The lowest package trends witnessed during NIT Meghalaya placements between 2022 and 2024 are presented below:

NIT Meghalaya is among the newly established NITs in the northeast region. It managed to secure 72nd under engineering category. As for its placement,   NIT Meghalaya concluded the 2023 placement session with199 job offers. The NIT Meghalaya average package and the highest package stood at INR 11.10 LPA and INR 32 LPA, respectively. Additionally, the lowest package offered was INR 3.6 LPA. Over 60 companies participated in NIT Meghalaya placements 2023, including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, etc.,

NIT Meghalaya fees are mentioned below, although the actual amount may be reduced through scholarships offered by the institution. The total fee is determined using the annual/semester fee applicable for the academic year, making it an estimate. A caution deposit of INR 5,000 is required to be paid.
