I am in my first year of college. It is very good and one of the most beautiful campuses in India.
Placements: NIT Srinagar has good placement records from the past 5 years. It has almost 100 percent placement records in almost every branch, with an average of 9 LPA. MNCs from across India come here to place students in their companies.
Infrastructure: It has very good infrastructure. Every hostel has a nice garden in front of it. There is a badminton court in my hostel where we enjoy playing every day. We have a big ground and good sports equipment, so we enjoy ourselves a lot while playing. We also have a nice view of the mountains.
Faculty: Faculty of the National Institute of Technology Srinagar is very good. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders. They are very friendly and not too strict. The curriculum is good. We have two exams mainly. They are mid-term and end-term, so we don’t have much pressure.
Other: While playing sports or games, we have the best view of the mountains and clouds passing through them from the ground. It has one of the most beautiful campuses in India.

An almost good institute with average placements and a beautiful campus.
Placements: NIT Srinagar's placement ratio is decent, means average placements. In Civil Engineering, there are the best placements. Computer Science and Electronics and Communication have the best placements, while other courses have average placements. I'm a Mechanical Engineering student, so in my course, approximately 80-85 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 35 LPA, the lowest package is 4 LPA, and the average package is 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and some courses are NBA-accredited. There are all facilities for our course. It includes good Wi-Fi, classrooms with both smartboards and whiteboards, and good-quality labs. The food is good, and they prepare all Indian foods, both South and North. Sports facilities are also good, with a cricket ground, badminton courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, etc. There are many canteens, but one problem is that there is no night canteen.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful by nature. All are well-qualified, with most teachers holding M.Tech degrees, etc. The teaching quality is also good. Semester exams are not so difficult, but still, some papers are difficult. Students who have been learning from the start find it easy to clear semester exams. Overall, the semester exams are good.
Other: I don't have a very high percentile, so I got Electronics and Communication as my maximum option, but I am satisfied with Mechanical Engineering, so I am pursuing Mechanical Engineering. There are many events on this campus, including a good fest like Range-e-Chinar. The campus is good, and the food quality is also good.

College is good for students in higher branches like CSE and ECE, with a nice campus and location.
Placements: Placements are good in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and other major branches. The highest package is around 35 LPA, and the average is around 13 LPA for CSE and other major branches. In lower branches, the average is around 8-9 LPA. Many companies, such as BPCL, ONGC, and HPCL, recruit from core branches. Approximately 80-85% of students are placed in major branches.
Infrastructure: Mechanical and ECE departments are accredited. Wi-Fi is slow in hostels but good in academic areas. Mess food is manageable but not very good. A new hostel is being built for more convenience. Geysers, 24/7 water, and electricity are available. Cupboards are provided in the rooms, and single rooms are available for 4th-year students. Labs are good, with equipment and support staff.
Faculty: Teachers are good, though not all. Most are knowledgeable and well qualified, but sometimes there may be gaps in understanding. As a Mechanical student, my course is accredited and is going well. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are little bit tough, but students who study well will get good marks.
Other: I like cars and mechanical work, so I chose Mechanical Engineering. My course is accredited. Labs and staff support are good.

Good college. Placement is good, and the facility is also good.
Placements: 80-90 percent of students got placed on campus. The average package is 10 LPA. Recruiting companies are Microsoft, Google, IBM, TATA. 90 percent of students get internships. Internship is with the company DRDO. The highest package offered is 30 LPA-40 LPA. Students got placement inside the campus. Everyone is satisfied.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure and all facilities. Wi-Fi is everywhere. Classrooms are good. Library is good and canteen is available. The food is not very good. There are a lot of facilities in sports like badminton, volleyball, cricket, etc. Medical facilities are also good, we get good treatment.
Faculty: The faculty is good, helpful, and qualified. The difficulty of the semester is average. The pass percentage is 40 percent of the total, like 40 out of 100. Teachers are so experienced and good at understanding the topics for students. Teachers make students ready for the industry.
Other: I am interested in B.Tech.

Average colleges don't take your expectations very high while getting into NIT Srinagar.
Placements: NIT Srinagar offers better placements for CS/IT branches and decent placements for core branches. As I talked to my seniors, they told me that companies visit campus (like Nvidia, Microsoft, Oracle), but they offer only 2-3 job letters out of 100 students, which is not a good count. There is still a lack of skills in students to secure good placements on campus. It has around an 80 percent placement rate with a 10 LPA median salary, and the highest is 36 LPA. Roles offered to students are front-end developers & software developers.
Infrastructure: As a National institute, you expect a good infrastructure but it's not a good campus infrastructure. You may feel a lack of privacy and find it difficult to adjust at first in hostels. The canteen's facilities are not good, and you also get restrictions for visiting outside of campus and the hostel in terms of timing. You have to share a room with 5 students, and the room is not in very good condition. You will get Wi-Fi facilities. Department buildings are decent. Hostel food is not good. As you are also not allowed to not cook in the room yourself.
Faculty: The academic schedule is hectic, as you have to get 75 percent attendance with 9-5 classes. As a 1-year course, the curriculum is very irrelevant. Teachers are helpful, qualified (NIT/IITS), and knowledgeable. Depending on the curriculum, it does not make students industry-ready. The semester exams are tough, and you have to study well, you will get back for sure.
Other: I chose IT as I am interested in the tech field and want to have a good and bright future. A much more practical approach can lead to better courses. There are many events happening in college on a daily basis.

NIT Srinagar - National Institute of Technology .
Placements: In the last placement, Information Technology acquired more placements than the Computer Science branch. Top recruiting companies are Oracle and Big Basket. Around 60–80 percent students got placed. Students need to work on their skills to get a good placement like in any other place. At the end, it’s about skills because no company will hire a person who has no skills, even though he or she is from a reputed college.
Infrastructure: The campus is beautiful. Dal Lake is right beside the college. The campus is a little small though. In sports, there are basketball, volleyball, cricket, football, tennis, table tennis, chess, and carrom. There is a canteen, a cafeteria, and some stationery shops.
Faculty: Some of the faculty are good, but some are not that good in teaching but have knowledge. But it’s like this in every college. Faculty in the college have PhD's and degrees from prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs. Some professors are known for being strict about attendance and assignments.
