Absolutely satisfied with the faculty.
Placements: In civil engineering almost 60 to 70 percent of students got placed. The highest package was 18 LPA, the average package was 7 LPA, and the lowest package was 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Vedanta, Tata, L&T, and PowerGrid. Only 1-2 students got internships in civil engineering mostly in Autodesk. The top roles offered were in management and finance consulting.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was somewhat average. The labs were not so great. However the classrooms and library were very good. The quality of the hostel, food, and other facilities was up to the mark with IITs. The Wi-Fi in the campuses could do better. Labs needed to be up to date.
Faculty: The teachers were highly qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was best. The curriculum was highly advanced and I would say more industry-ready than IITs. The teachers were very helpful in finding internships and writing conference and journal papers. The course curriculum was the best and the teachers were very good.
Other: I wish the labs could improve. More events were needed.

My opinion for NIT Srinagar.
Placements: 70 to 75 percent of students get placement. There are many companies like for civil – the top most company is L&T, JSW – for mechanical, Increff, Make My Trip, PayPal, Microsoft, Visa, Fractal, and many more companies. Along with this, there is a project in 4th year of college.
Infrastructure: Due to the low temperature here, heaters are available in the library and classroom, and Wi-Fi facility is also available. There are all labs available for all branches, like for civil – geotechnical, highway, transportation, structural, concrete lab available.
Faculty: They are really very supportive and apart from the academics they helped me a lot. Due to the projects in the 4th year, we mentally prepare for the industrial work, and also internship helped me a lot. Paper is moderate level and it depends upon the faculty and subject.
Other: Techvaganga and Range Chinar are the two most important fests of college, because I wanted to go in over. Nment exams civil engineering is best for me.

NIT Srinagar is a very good college in terms of its location and academic purpose.
Placements: 30 students got placed in Civil Engineering. The highest package was 8 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA. Vedanta and TATA were the top recruiting companies. Different companies take part in placement sessions, in which most of the Computer Science and Information Technology students get jobs more than other branches.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. Labs are well-equipped and the library remains open from 7:00 am to 12:00 am. Some hostels are very good, and some are of average quality. The quality of food is average. Medical and sports facilities are medium. All the departments have separate labs with modern equipment.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and they have studied at IITs and foreign universities. Semester exams happen according to the calendar date exactly, and the passing percentage is 40%. If every student takes part, whether it is academic or non-academic, this is only possible because of the support of teaching and non-teaching faculty.
Other: I have chosen Civil Engineering because of government job opportunities. The main thing which I liked about my course was the analysis of every structure. Infrastructure can be improved to the next level. Two fests happen in a year: one is cultural, and the other is tech-based. The campus is not too crowded; it has a very pleasant atmosphere.

If you are from CSE/IT then placement is very good but for core branch you should not expect much.

For civil engineering, this college is not preferable because placements are not good for it.
Placements: In B.Tech Civil Engineering, only 60% of students get placement. The highest package is 19 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Oracle, etc. About 70 to 75% of students get internships offered by companies. Top roles offered are structural engineering and more.
Infrastructure: The hostel rooms are below average; a single room is occupied by 5 students. Labs are good but not well-equipped; we can say they are decent. The library is very small; it can't hold more than 100 students at a time and also books are very limited. Overall, it's bad for those who are thinking that they will get space or books rather than engineering. In the hostel, the food quality is decent. The facilities like water, Wi-Fi, etc., are very bad. Medical facilities are excellent. Sports are decent here, and the college is providing very few funds for sports events.
Faculty: Teachers are good, and they are well-qualified as well as knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Exams are medium level in mid-sem, but pretty hard in end-sem, and the pass percentage is 40%.

This review is given according to my opinion.
Placements: 70% of students were placed this year from Civil Engineering, with the highest package of 19 LPA and an average of 11 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Wipro, Ambuja, and L&T, and many more. Many students get internships from both the college and companies. About 100% of students get them. Many roles were assigned to students, like HR manager, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are equipped with advanced technology and have great ventilation, which is suitable for both winters and summers. The library is not much bigger but has enough resources like books and other necessary equipment. Hostels are overcrowded but are very good, and the hostel food is average.
Faculty: Every teacher in this college is highly qualified and trained well to teach and understand the subject plus students, but some teachers are only translating the PPT available on digital boards. Yes, for my course, the curriculum is more relevant, which makes students ready for the world. Semester exams are not very difficult, but their frequency makes them difficult. Above 40% is the pass percentage.
Other: I chose this course as I did not want to work out of the station, and this course is highly recommended in this college. This course is vast, but we need to have specific and goal-oriented aims for excelling in it. The restrictions that are applied must be removed, and college students must be given a free life to move out of campus whenever required.

I am satisfied with the overall performance of this college.
Placements: Not many students got placed in my course, roughly around 16%. The highest package that I am aware of is around 13 LPA and the lowest one is around 6 LPA. VEDANTA internship opportunities are there as well in my course, like some IITs offer internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good here, and the classrooms are well-equipped to ensure the students feel comfortable. ACs are installed inside the classrooms, and Wi-Fi access is there in the library and hostels as well. Labs are also crammed with the necessary equipment. Sports and medical care are to be appreciated.
Faculty: Teachers, to be honest, are very helpful, especially in my course. No matter how many times you visit their cabins, there’s no compromise with teaching quality. The syllabus is a bit outdated and not up to date in my course. Semester exams make you face a bunch of conundrums, especially in the Structural Analysis course.

Everything you want to know about NIT, Srinagar.
Placements: Last year, nearly 80% of students in my course were placed, with the highest package at 19 LPA, the lowest at 3 LPA, and the average package at 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies include L&T, Vedanta SRE, BPCL, and many more. Additionally, 70% of students secured internships from the same companies that offered placements.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure provided are top-notch for my department. Labs are well structured and every piece of equipment is working perfectly. As it is a cold place, benches are made of wood to protect them from cold weather. Quality of facilities are good, at least in my hostel, i.e., Manasbal. Other hostels are also good. Quality of food is not that great but it's good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful; all are highly qualified; all have done their PhDs from top IITs. Teaching quality is top notch; teachers explain all the concepts very well through smart boards. The course makes the students industry-ready but I think in my college they emphasize more on theoretical knowledge than practical knowledge, which I think needs to be changed. Semester exams are not that difficult but you have to study for passing exams. Pass percentage is 40%.
Other: To be honest, I chose this course because I was getting this course and college according to my jee mains rank. I think they should emphasize more on practical knowledge. Two festivals are conducted every year, with a lot of extracurricular activities and a lot of sports for those who are interested. Connectivity by air is good you can directly come to Srinagar airport. By train, you can go up to Jammu; from there, you can take either bus or cab.

Everything is good but I think there needs to be an upgrade in the food quality and the crowd.
Placements: I think from CS and IT branches, approximately 70% of students got their placement but companies are prioritizing IIT over NIT, and for that reason it is less. In my course, the highest package was 45 lakhs per annum. I do not have an exact number because I am currently in my third year of study. We are now applying for internship and most students are getting it from IIT. Structural engineer is the top role offered.
Infrastructure: hostel facility is good and mess is average in our college, with food being served in our college. WiFi is available in hostels as well as classrooms and libraries. For our department, everything is provided; we mean every facility is available in facility; it is the best college.
Faculty: Every teacher in our college is excellent in teaching and are well educated; everyone has best knowledge and their quality of teaching is excellent. I think the course curriculum is good and every course is preparing students for the outside world; everyone is doing their best. Exam in our college are moderate level with hard checking of papers and passing percentage is 75%.
Other: I always wanted to become a civil engineer; it was my dream. The best thing about my course is that it can benefit people; it can benefit everyone. My course is best; I just need a little improvement for a job opportunity. Everything is provided in our campus, with events lasting weeks, having well-equipped sports grounds and every desirable student getting scholarship.
