I am in my first year of college. It is very good and one of the most beautiful campuses in India.
Placements: NIT Srinagar has good placement records from the past 5 years. It has almost 100 percent placement records in almost every branch, with an average of 9 LPA. MNCs from across India come here to place students in their companies.
Infrastructure: It has very good infrastructure. Every hostel has a nice garden in front of it. There is a badminton court in my hostel where we enjoy playing every day. We have a big ground and good sports equipment, so we enjoy ourselves a lot while playing. We also have a nice view of the mountains.
Faculty: Faculty of the National Institute of Technology Srinagar is very good. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders. They are very friendly and not too strict. The curriculum is good. We have two exams mainly. They are mid-term and end-term, so we don’t have much pressure.
Other: While playing sports or games, we have the best view of the mountains and clouds passing through them from the ground. It has one of the most beautiful campuses in India.

An almost good institute with average placements and a beautiful campus.
Placements: NIT Srinagar's placement ratio is decent, means average placements. In Civil Engineering, there are the best placements. Computer Science and Electronics and Communication have the best placements, while other courses have average placements. I'm a Mechanical Engineering student, so in my course, approximately 80-85 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 35 LPA, the lowest package is 4 LPA, and the average package is 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and some courses are NBA-accredited. There are all facilities for our course. It includes good Wi-Fi, classrooms with both smartboards and whiteboards, and good-quality labs. The food is good, and they prepare all Indian foods, both South and North. Sports facilities are also good, with a cricket ground, badminton courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, etc. There are many canteens, but one problem is that there is no night canteen.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful by nature. All are well-qualified, with most teachers holding M.Tech degrees, etc. The teaching quality is also good. Semester exams are not so difficult, but still, some papers are difficult. Students who have been learning from the start find it easy to clear semester exams. Overall, the semester exams are good.
Other: I don't have a very high percentile, so I got Electronics and Communication as my maximum option, but I am satisfied with Mechanical Engineering, so I am pursuing Mechanical Engineering. There are many events on this campus, including a good fest like Range-e-Chinar. The campus is good, and the food quality is also good.

College is good for students in higher branches like CSE and ECE, with a nice campus and location.
Placements: Placements are good in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and other major branches. The highest package is around 35 LPA, and the average is around 13 LPA for CSE and other major branches. In lower branches, the average is around 8-9 LPA. Many companies, such as BPCL, ONGC, and HPCL, recruit from core branches. Approximately 80-85% of students are placed in major branches.
Infrastructure: Mechanical and ECE departments are accredited. Wi-Fi is slow in hostels but good in academic areas. Mess food is manageable but not very good. A new hostel is being built for more convenience. Geysers, 24/7 water, and electricity are available. Cupboards are provided in the rooms, and single rooms are available for 4th-year students. Labs are good, with equipment and support staff.
Faculty: Teachers are good, though not all. Most are knowledgeable and well qualified, but sometimes there may be gaps in understanding. As a Mechanical student, my course is accredited and is going well. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are little bit tough, but students who study well will get good marks.
Other: I like cars and mechanical work, so I chose Mechanical Engineering. My course is accredited. Labs and staff support are good.

NIT Srinagar: Pros and cons.
Placements: There were close to 70-80 percent of students placed in our course. The highest package was around 23 LPA, and the average was around 10 LPA. Amazon, Infosys, Tata, and DPCL were the lead recruiters. Around 80 percent got internship offers both on campus and off campus.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi often doesn't work. Although classrooms are spacious. Labs have the required equipment most of the time. The library needs more space. The quality of food is above average. The rooms have 5 occupants each. However, this could change soon since a new hostel is being built.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and dedicated to teaching. However, the time allotted to complete the first semester is less than sufficient. Exams are difficult, varying from subject to subject. Although most of them are manageable. Most of the students pass in most subjects. Around 60-70 percent pass in every exam.
Other: Teachers are well-qualified and dedicated to teaching. However, the time allotted to complete the first semester is less than sufficient. Exams are difficult, varying from subject to subject. Although most of them are manageable. Most of the students pass in most subjects. Around 60-70 percent pass in every exam.

Some teachers are good, and some are not.
Placements: Among eligible students, 70 to 80% were placed, with an average package of 9 LPA, and the highest being 22 LPA in our branch. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Microsoft, GAIL, and BPCL. Roles offered include assistant engineer, junior engineer, and executive engineer. Some PSUs directly recruit in college.
Infrastructure: Excellent infrastructure, beautiful campus life, and sufficient labs and workshops for the mechanical department. In the hostel, there are 5-seater rooms, which are not good, and the mess food is average. Sometimes the hostel Wi-Fi is not working properly. In NIT Srinagar, the best branch is the mechanical department.
Faculty: In NIT Srinagar, most teachers are Ph.D. holders with good experience in teaching. I have no idea if the courses are relevant or not. In semester exams, some teachers make the exams tough and some easy. It totally depends on the teachers' mood. In NIT Srinagar, the passing marks are 41 out of 100.
Other: Mechanical engineering will be an evergreen branch with a good history at this college. Range Chinar is one of the famous cultural events.

Review of NIT Srinagar - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: About 70 to 80% of students among the eligible candidates were placed this year. The highest package offered to our branch was about 24 LPA, with an average of 10.6 LPA and a median of about 9 LPA. Top recruiting firms were MMT, Tata Motors, Amazon, BPCL, Infosys, and GAIL. About 70 to 80% of students have received internships in total, including off-campus. Top roles offered were junior engineer, assistant engineer, and core sectors included design engineer, control engineer, power system engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is excellent, especially in the winter. The campus has all the necessary facilities required for students. Labs are sufficient and equipped with modern tools. The whole campus is Wi-Fi covered. Classrooms are digitalised, and the library is open from 6 AM to 12 AM. The hostel is okay. 5 students are accommodated in a room for the first year. The mess is okay, with differentiated timings for veg and non-veg, providing 4 meals a day.
Faculty: The faculty is excellent here. Most of them are PhD holders, and their behaviour towards students is very generous. Their teaching quality is exceptional. The courses here are up to date and provide more opportunities for lab and practical work. Semester exams are okay, but marking is difficult.
Other: I chose Mechanical Engineering because I'm interested in the field of mechanics. Moreover, the mechanical course in our institute is reputed as being among the best in the country. However, one thing that could be improved is the overall timing of the semesters. It could be increased to provide more time to completely understand and apply every single thing in the course.

Everything needs improvement.
Placements: While I have looked at various passouts of our course and talked to many seniors. The way they described college placements seemed very average. Some students get placed, but no one receives a very high package. I feel a person has to focus entirely on placements to get placed.
Infrastructure: Labs are decent, but first-year classrooms are not good. The library has a very limited seating capacity. Wi-Fi is available but limited, with unnecessary website restrictions. The mess and canteen are poor. Sports and games are below average. There is not enough infrastructure for sports, with very few events and tournaments.
Faculty: Teachers are somewhat helpful. Some are qualified and knowledgeable, while others are not. Overall teaching quality is decent. The course does not make students very industry-ready, though the curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are very difficult. Sometimes the marking is uneven or unnecessarily strict. The pass percentage varies by course and mostly depends on faculty. Some faculty members are good, but some subjects need to be studied independently to get decent marks in exams.
Other: I chose the course because it seemed good, it is in my state, and it is in a good location. The campus is not very large. Infrastructure in classrooms and the library can be improved. More focus should be given to practical application, knowledge, and experience from the second semester. Help desks should be available for freshers. Scholarships are not very good, and events are outdated. New events should be introduced properly.

My college and my experiences at this college.
Placements: Placements are very good. Every year, there are top companies coming to recruit students. There are a good number of packages. And every year, talented students get their chances. Every department has a good placement percentage, and there are many people out there who have more than one placement.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is not so excellent, but they are good. There are many hostels named after a river, and we got the Indus hostel, so it's also been good. Mess is also good, and the mess is awesome. The diet is very good, full of protein and all, and there's also a gym in every hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are very encouraging and supportive. If you have a good talent in any aspect, there are many teachers from different departments, so if you have a good talent and want encouragement, this college is for you. And the exams are not so difficult.
