My personal experience of NIET.
Placements: 90 percent of students are placed in my college. The highest package offered is 20 LPA, the lowest package offered is 3 LPA and average package offered is 5 LPA. Companies like Autodesk, AWS, Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys, and more came. Roles of a Software Engineer are offered to the students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the college and hostel. You have to generate your id. The hostel provides you with all your essentials. The food is okay, not bad. You have a ground for sports, and the canteen is also pretty good. You have a mother diary here also. Medical block is also available here.
Faculty: No doubt the faculty here is very good and well educated. They have studied at known IITs. They are very understanding and helpful. The course curriculum is very relevant. They even provide you with workshops. Semester exams are pretty easy, and the pass percentage is nearly 80 to 90 percent.
Other: I have a keen interest in technology, so I chose this IT branch.

Overall, college is good on the basis of its ROI, but when it comes to college life, that's not good
Placements: Placements are not so good, not so bad; it totally depends on the student whether he/she is searching for off-campus placements, because on-campus placements are not as expected. The average package for BTEC is 5-6 LPA, but the ROI is pretty good. Overall, it is average.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very bad for 1-year students. The area of college is very small. No availability of ground and a good infrastructure, no well-developed libraries for hostelers, no proper courts for playing, and no playing culture is seen in this college. Hostel life is also very boring and difficult.
Faculty: Faculty, the curriculum is pretty good compared to other ACTU colleges, in my opinion. Exams are totally based on college, no role of ACTU. This college is good for studies, the faculty is perfect for those who want to study. The exam pattern is also good.
Other: College life is very bad, this college only focuses on studies, with no extra activities.

I really do not recommend this college. You can see other better alternatives.
Placements: So, talking about the percentage of students placed in my course, I will give an example: 3 out of 10 students are placed from my branch, and the rest are from other branches. The highest package is around 10–11 LPA, and the average is 3–4 LPA. Top recruitment is from Deloitte and Accenture. 40 percent of the students are placed, and the rest of them are still seeking internships. As of now, I really don’t know about the roles offered in my college.
Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure, it is good, and the Wi-Fi facility in the library is also impressive. Classrooms are well furnished. The sports and games department and medical facilities are 8 out of 10. Food available in the mess is healthy to eat, and they make the food accordingly.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, well qualified, and knowledgeable. They are very helpful at every step, and the teaching quality is pretty decent. The course is relevant in context to the curriculum, but it doesn’t make students quite ready for anything. I feel like I have to forcibly learn the things. Semester exams are easy, but the checking is difficult.
Other: In my case, I just went with the crowd and eventually ended up here in this course. It provides practical knowledge and creativity. Talking about events and fests, there are no fests organized, and even a freshers’ party is not happening for freshers.

This college is very good for studies.
Placements: The placements of our college are good because our seniors are satisfied with the placement cycle. Our college has a tie-up with many companies, which makes the placement easier. The placement cell is very supportive. For my branch, many companies visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: Our hostel is also very good. The mess is very clean, hygienic, and tasty. Our dean also does lunch from the same mess. Rooms are very good and spacious. They are well-ventilated. It has clean bathrooms and clean drinking water.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very good. They treat us just like our own child. They are very strict and give regular homework every day. Since our college is autonomous, the copy checking is also done in our college. They change the syllabus according to the industrial requirements.
Other: I want to say that this college is very good, but the fee is slightly high.

Good placements and faculty make for a solid engineering experience.
Placements: My perspective as a student who recently graduated, I can say that the placement scenario at NIET is quite strong, especially if you are in a core branch like CSE or IT. The college really emphasizes placements, and the numbers they share are pretty impressive. We saw a lot of big names during placement season. The top recruiting companies included tech giants and major consulting firms like Microsoft, Amazon, Palo Alto Networks, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, and Deloitte.
Infrastructure: The NIET Greater Noida campus has a good mix of facilities. The labs are well equipped with modern technology, and the library is a great resource, offering a peaceful and conducive environment for studying. While some of the older parts of the campus show their age, the college has been making a concerted effort to upgrade and maintain them. The sports facilities and canteens are good, and the campus provides all the basic amenities a student needs. Overall, the infrastructure is practical and supports both academic and extracurricular activities without being overly extravagant. Its a functional setup designed for learning.
Faculty: The faculty at NIET Greater Noida is generally well-regarded. Many teachers are experienced, with some holding advanced degrees from top institutions. They are often supportive and approachable, providing both theoretical and practical knowledge. As an autonomous institution, NIET has the flexibility to design its own curriculum. This allows them to regularly update courses to align with current industry trends, including subjects like AI, machine learning, and data Science. The curriculum emphasizes hands on training and projects, aiming to ensure students are well prepared for their careers. This approach helps bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

Which is better for B.Tech in IT between IIMT and NIET?

NIET is way better in terms of faculty and placements. Also, it is a better institute because it is dedicated to engineering.
