It is a gateway to a wonderful journey and success.
Placements: The placement drive will start in the 7th semester for all final-year students who have registered for the training and placements. Some companies like Toshiba, TCS, L&T, LTTS, Capgemini, CTS, etc., visit our institute for placements. About 80% of the eligible students have been placed till now. Some students also get internships in companies. The highest salary package is 11 LPA and the average salary is 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college are fantastic. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the campus but in some areas, there is restricted access. Classrooms are neat and spacious. There is a good environment to study. I am a day scholar, so I do not know much about the hostel but my friends said it is very normal with average food. The availability of food in the canteen and mess is super. There are medical facilities, sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful for students' academic progress. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their quality of teaching is simply awesome. This course mainly focuses on curriculum and it does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are quite simple. There is a high chance of passing in all the subjects. Some of my few friends in my class also get arrears.
Other: I have a main objective to get a college seat in the government college in my nearby location, so I chose this college. I am from the EEE department and it is always special for design and problem-solving. Getting more friendly teaching facilities in the department will be more helpful for us to study the subjects in an engaging way. Cultural events are organised every year in March named Rejouir for all students in the class. It helps in major extracurricular activities and sports.

Good campus, faculty, placements.
Placements: You have to took more than 80 percentage to get a seat in this college. The highest package was likely 10LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA and average was 4.2 LPA. MBIT technology, Delta Electronic. Basically companies wants the students above 60 to 75 percentage.
Infrastructure: Library was very good. Classroom in our department bit old. Laboratory was average not upto the mark. Now our college was promoted to the University so in future I predict labs will be upto the Mark. Games events were takes place around 2 months. Canteen was not fine.
Faculty: Faculty members was very knowledgeable in each and every department. Teaching quality was very fine. They don't skip anything. They taught us fully. Syllabus was constructed very well. Semester was difficult to moderate. 50/100 was the pass mark.
Other: In 12th I was very strong in some electrical portions in Physics. So I opt electrical engineering in under graduate degree. In laboratory some equipment are not working properly. So they have to fix that one and all. There was no famish for the events. Campus was very nature and good looking.

I had a great experience and completely satisfied with the fact that I studied in PEC.
Placements: I really had a great experience in placements. The students can either select stream specific companies (in my case it's electrical) or software companies. They are not restricted from appearing to any placement drive. Around 60 to 70 percent of the students got placed in our department with at least one offer. The training and placement office in our college conduct various programs to improve soft skills for the students and equip them for a job. I have been hugely benefited by these programs. They extend their invite to many companies to have a recruitment from our college. We have good communication with the placement cell and they are always open for feedback. We have placement volunteers for every department. For placement, it is one of the best colleges in Pondicherry provided you are eager to learn and gain a good academic knowledge.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not that modern but one of the simple, modest and natural environment you can find. In case you are wondering how the college look like you could search for Pondicherry engineering college on youtube. Also, I attached some images I took of our department, auditorium etc. The college has a library, hostel, canteen, Wi-Fi, labs, playground and classroom facilities. Library- great Hostel - good Canteen- good Wi-Fi - good Labs - great Playground- great Classroom- good To put it simply, it is a huge campus considering other institutions in Pondicherry. The college is located opposite to the beach (Literally the ECR separate the college from the beach) and surrounded by trees. It's really a great environment to study.
Faculty: The professors are the best part of our college. They are friendly, easily accessible and had tremendous knowledge in their field. The college has the finest professors who are doctorates in their field and many graduated from IITs, NITs, PEC and other prestigious colleges.
Other: I got in this college through merit in CENTAC. I chose electrical and electronics engineering because I had interest in it. The college have PECOFES every year and it is the greatest intercollege event in Pondicherry. People from other colleges in and out of Pondicherry attend this fest. Apart from Pecofes, there are a host of other events such as sports events, cultural meets and department-specific symposiums.

PEC is nothing but the combination of placement and enjoyment.
Placements: The only college assured for placements is Pondicherry Engineering College. If you are good in your academics, then you are placed. The companies recruiting are not only software companies but also core companies of every department. Some of the best-recruiting companies are Amazon, ZOHO, Cadence Design Systems, SAP Labs, etc.
Infrastructure: PEC campus is a huge campus around 200-acres. It has a very spacious greenish environment. All the departments are separately placed in the good classroom and lab facilities. A huge auditorium for cultural, big ground for sports, and a 3-storey library with all books required for semester preparation are available.
Faculty: All the faculty members are well-experienced and with the excellent educational career. The course curriculum in our college is quite different from all other engineering colleges in Pondicherry. PEC is the only college with the autonomous stream, improved syllabus and examination pattern.
Other: If you are interested in engineering, then PEC is the right choice. Choose it without any hesitations. It is also the only college where you can enjoy your college life to the best. You can study as well as enjoy the college life. There will be no problem until both these are balanced.

Excellent faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: I had a good experience with the training and the placement cell. They guided us in the right way and provided good instructions. Many of my senior students who attended the interviews got placed. I am pretty sure that I will get placed in a good company because of their guidance.
Infrastructure: The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled with some of the best internet speeds in this part of the country. The library is well equipped with more than 5000 books on different disciplines. The classrooms are all maintained well, but the benches are not comfortable. The labs are also well equipped.
Faculty: The faculty are very helpful and encourage to ask the doubts in the class. If they are shy they can approach them in after-hours, even through e-mail and they will clear the doubts. They are well versed in the specific fields. Almost everyone is a doctorate holder.

Satisfied with the academics and faculty support.
Placements: In the year of 2015, 48 out of 72 students were placed from the EEE department. The highest salary as I heard was 10 lakh per year. The average salary is 3.5 lakh per year. The recruitment of students to core companies is few in number. TCS is the firm where most of the students get placed.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility, library, medical and sports facilities are good. Canteen food is not bad. Restrooms need some renovations. Laboratories are old infrastructure but have good equipment and devices. Laboratories need backup power facilities as it may affect examinations.
Faculty: Every faculty member does their best. They are regular. They also guide us towards the right path. The course curriculum is bound with practical courses, thereby giving us experienced knowledge. The overall course curriculum is good and faculty members too. The faculty members have a professional way of teaching.
Other: We have academic freedom here unlike other colleges. We have the freedom to create productive clubs like Literary Club, Cultural Club, Green Club, oration Club, Movie Club, etc. Thereby we gain additional unique qualities as an engineer. The college curriculum and environment give necessary knowledge and power to become an independent and a self-confident engineer.

Other: It is the best college in the Pondicherry region. Here all the faculty members have completed doctorates in IIT and NIT institutes. It is also having a very good library with more than 10 lac books. Each department here has their own separate blocks. The campus facilities are very good and training is provided for placements. MNC companies like CTS, TCS, Infosys, Wipro etc are regularly conducting campus interviews and taking a large number of students every year.

Not at all satisfied for paying 1.5 Lacs for college fee. Not at all worthy for JoSAA students.
Placements: In our branch almost 30 to 40 percentage students were placed and the highest package offered is 6 Lacs by a core company. And all the other companies are offering 3.2 and 3.6 LPA as maximum. Top recruiting companies are like GE vernova, PCBL, TCS etc. Roles like GET, testing and commissioning, software developed roles are offered. I say the placements are not good at all. Most of the companies are local companies with minimum 2 years bond. So it's not a good decision to join in our college for future generation .
Infrastructure: Classrooms are too old like the benches are old ones which are just painted and the buildings of the departments are too the worst. They were built in 1980s and not changed at all after that. Washrooms are not that clean and hostel management is the worst. The hostel facilities are just average, the college fee of 1.5 Lacs per year is too much for this college. As a JoSAA student I won't prefer this to any juniors. Sports and games are just there for name sake. They won't spend much money for them.
Faculty: Yes most of the teachers are qualified. Very few teachers teaching quality is too good. But others teaching quality is too bad. Like they will just read PPT and leave. The syllabus they are using for our course is a long back syllabus. Not related much to present situations outside. The machinery in the laboratory works barely. The old wear machines. Pass percentage is 60-80 percent and the semester exams are not that easy. A bit difficult only.
Other: I didn't know much about this course. But I was sure that not to join in CSE just like everyone did. So I came into this course without knowing anything about it. Events and fests will happen very rare and the budget they provide for it is bare minimum too. The events and fests are just for name sake not good here.
