SLIET has achieved a good NIRF rank in the past 5 years.
Placements: 80-90 percent of students got placed in the past few years. The lowest package offered ranges from 3-5 LPA. The average package offered is 6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 18.8 LPA. Top companies like Hindustan Unilever, HMEL Bhatinda, Nestle, Mother Dairy, Parle, Ralson, L&T, Wipro, Google, Microsoft, TCS, and Tech Mahindra hire students. 70 percent of students got internships. The R&D sector is the top role offered in my course.
Infrastructure: Our college has good labs, the best smart classrooms, full Wi-Fi, a digital library, and a good reading hall. In the hostel, there is a good mess for a meal, but it depends on the contractor. There is a sports hall and a TV room. It has a big ground in every hostel for cricket. There is a good swimming pool, and also football and cricket grounds.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified. Many teachers are from IIT. Teachers focus on industrial experience related to the theory classes. There is no difficulty in the semester exam, and most questions come from our classroom notes. Some books are preferred by teachers. Teachers also help in the preparation of the GATE exam. They also give chances to join a good internship program through their reference.
Other: The best thing about this course is the good opportunities in the R&D sector, oil refinery, and fertilizer industry. Madhuram fest has a very outstanding performance of students, and there is good entertainment. We get a chance to be in NCC at SLIET.

Review of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: In the 2018 batch, the lateral entry candidates from the diploma joined JEE main in the second year. The course is for 4 years. Students got placed in Larsson & Turbo, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Byjus, etc. Students also got placed in core and chemical companies like Khanna Paper Mills and Owen Scoring.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent. The new blocks are under construction. The hostel life is up to the mark with appropriate food and water supply. Hostels are well-maintained. We have digital classrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and experienced. They have in-depth subject knowledge. Exams are conducted as per the curriculum and follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Education Government of India. The curriculum is well-maintained and changes accordingly. The course includes CRE, PDC PIC, fluid mechanics, engineering, mathematics, thermodynamics, and process calculation.
Other: Placements could be better for core branches. The campus is lush green but connectivity is not good.

Outstanding campus and faculty is also good.
Placements: About 50% students got placed from this college because it's a government college. Companies that visit this college are limited companies. In CSE, the most recruitments occur and one girl got placed with 28 LPA placed in Google. All the students get placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is better than that of other colleges. Wi-Fi, labs and classroom are available in our college. There are digital rooms for lectures. In hostel, they provide good food to us. A canteen is also available.
Faculty: All the teachers are knowledgeable and qualified. They are from IITs and NITs. They provide industrial tours to B.Tech students. Semester exams are not too much difficult, they are average for all. Pass percentage is 30%.

In this year, we crossed more then 300 placements of students and it's a best thing.
Placements: Most of the companies want 60% for diploma and 70% for bachelor's in engineering. The highest salary package offered is 9 LPA - 10 LPA and the minimum salary package offered is 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Top recruiters are HUL, Honey Well, and Tata Chemicals Ltd. There are no maximum or minimum criteria, and it also depends on the company. We prefer mostly petroleum, refinery, gas, and pharmaceutical companies.
Infrastructure: The institute has a sprawling area of 451 acres of land provided by the Punjab government. Surrounded by lush green land, the campus of the institute extends a beautiful and well-developed area with many topographically featured picturesque landscape, numerous buildings of various nature and stature, and a metal road network. Wi-Fi facilities are available. Smart classrooms, a library with a reading room, and a hostel facility are available. The food is not too good but the quality is good. There is a health center for students and faculty members.
Faculty: Teachers are behaving good, helpful, qualified, knowledgeable. They provide notes, study material, and conduct classes depending on the academic routine. In our institute, we visit the industry twice a year which helps us know the reality of industry.
35 marks is passing marks and overall marks is 100.
Other: Chemical engineering is my first priority and I love to work in industry (fieldwork). In this course, we know about every basic thing that we needed for our life. The technical festival happens once a year. The cultural fest happens once a year. There are so many student committees.

My experience is average.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed every year with a decent package. The highest salary package of our branch offered was 12 LPA last year. Hindustan Unilever is the top recruiter. Students got an internship in nearby local companies, and some got in PSUs. Roles offered by companies are generally production engineers.
Infrastructure: The facilities related to studies are a library, book bank, Wi-Fi (1GB per day), study center, etc. The classrooms are good here. Hostel Life is decent here, an average hostel with a low hostel fee and decent food .3 playing grounds and a medical center are available.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but the system is not that cooperative. The course curriculum is relevant if you choose your elective subjects carefully. Semesters exams are not so difficult if you study regularly, and the pass percentage is 33%. Most of the professors are highly qualified and also engaged in research.
Other: I opted for chemical engineering because of my interest, but I must confess that chemical engineering is the most difficult engineering. There is an annual cultural fest in Madhuram, and the tech fest is organized connectivity is good, people here are pretty active in extracurricular activities, and scholarships are provided based on grades.

Review of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: About 60- 80% of the students got placed until the end of the 8th semester, and some of them went for higher studies. Some students prepare for the GATE exam. More than 50 companies like HUL, JSW, Infosys, Wipro, Nestle, NFL Bathinda, IOCL, Ralson, etc., visit our campus every year for placements. The training and placement department is very active. Placement rate increases every year.
Infrastructure: The college is totally spread over about 451 acres, and it has a marvelous environment. There are 10 boys hostels and 3 girls hostels with good mess facilities, a badminton court, and a huge playground. The college provides a free Wi-Fi facility. We have normal as well as digital classrooms. All the labs are well-designed and have modern equipment. It has a central library that provides books for all branches. The college provides many sports facilities like football, volleyball, a stadium for cricket and a gym. We have our own health center. Workshops facilities are also available for UG and PG students for their projects and experimental work.
Faculty: Our college has well-educated faculty members for various courses and streams. They would help students in a possible way they can. The college offers various courses like 3 years diploma, B.E, M.Tech, MBA, and PhD. Industrial visits are also organised for us to gain practical knowledge. Semester exams in this college are moderate.
Other: A techfest and Madhuram fest are organised in the college every year. Many events are organised by the college that helps students to enhance their skills.

The infrastructure of this college is very decent.
Placements: I'm from the chemical engineering branch. Almost 70-80% of students placed in companies. The top recruiters of our college are TCS, Wipro, Infosys. In my course, around 50% of eligible students are placed in companies. Others companies like coco-cola, Infotech, JCBL also visit there. The average package of our college is around 3-4 Lacs.
Infrastructure: Overall the campus is very good. All the required facilities are available there. The condition of the classroom is very good. Hostel rooms are also good, Wi-Fi is available there. The quality of mess food is average. Other facilities like sports, swimming pool, games, medical facilities all are available there.
Faculty: The teachers are really very nice, most of the teachers are so dedicated but some are not. Teaching quality is average. As I'm from the chemical engineering trade my course curriculum is good but for industry purpose, we have to be studied from other resources also. Exams of our college can be easily qualified by regular study.
Other: I chose this field as I'm dedicated to this field. The best thing about it is I learn a lot of new things daily. It can improve by updating with new teaching methods. Many events were organised here throughout the year. The scholarship is provided by the college to only 3 students of the branch. Tech fest, the social fest is organised here. It is around 25 km from the main city Sangrur.

I am satisfied with its good teachers, placements for 2020, and infrastructure.
Placements: The minimum eligibility to get placements is 6 GPA. Approximately 45 companies visit every year. More than 70% of students are placed in different companies. Our college has placements training clubs and it will help to improve skills. This college is very good and will support students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and equipment are good, and this college provides free Wi-Fi. It has a central library, smart classrooms, and a departmental library. There are many facilities available in hostel-like sports, a television room, medical, basketball, cricket, volleyball, badminton table tennis, carrom, chess, etc., and there are many more. There are thousands of books in the library.
Faculty: Teachers are good and knowledgeable. They are Ph.D. holders, and their teaching skills are good. This course curriculum is relevant. I will give 7 out of 10 to the difficulty of exams. The pass percentage is 73%.
Other: I opted for this course from JEE Mains i.e Jossa counseling. There are many events and fests on campus and students can get scholarships. Many extracurricular activities and clubs are available.

SLIET is a wonderful place to spend time at. Although, placements are not on an all-time high, and it never was such. However, still if you are at par in technical skills with moderate communication skills.
