Not great for placements.
Placements: Probably less than 5% in ECE got placements as for other branches in B.Sc. they don't get any I guess. Average package is around 4 LPA but it's rare for ECE and CSC. Probably Wipro companies as for me I didn't got an internship yet because I am in 2nd year.
Infrastructure: There are hostels but unfortunately new students probably won't get any room since lack of rooms. They get priority based on distance from the university to their home. One room can accommodate 3 students. There is no modern canteen. As for medical, there's only one, according to my knowledge.
Faculty: For the 1st year, I don't think teachers are very good. Teaching style isn't that good but of course there are some who are good. Even though there is technology, they don't use it properly, so I believe they should be trained how to use them eg., smart boards, animation, etc (exceptions are there).
Other: I chose this course because I wanted, but of course I didn't want this college. There should be lots of improvements regarding teacher's teaching style and use of technology.

Absolutely dissatisfied with faculty members because they are not supportive.
Placements: I don't know much about placement at Assam University since I am new here. But a senior told me that the placement conditions here are not good. Around 2-3 students got placed. Many students got unplaced. The other departments are good and have decent placements. But the engineering department has very poor placements. If you are coming to this college, expect no placement.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. We have a big library. We also have well-equipped labs. Hostel facilities are good. Wi-Fi is slow. But very less people get hostels since there are many departments and less hostel seats. I am in 2nd year now, and I still haven't graduated from college. Sports facilities are good. A new sports building is under construction for basketball and badminton.
Faculty: Faculty members are not supportive. I am extremely dissatisfied with the faculty members. Many teachers are not qualified, they have come here from the state quota. The management staffs are also very bad, they are very lazy to do work. If you want to make a simple document, it will take you days or even months.
Other: It is a very good college if you are interested in fests because there are a lot of fests. Almost 3 fests per month. The other departments are good but B.Tech here is not recommended by me.

The overall summary of our university.
Placements: There are no placements for students; some IT companies, NGO's, and banks are coming for placement and there packages are not good; there are a maximum of 4-5 LPAs or less than that so the placement facility needs to improve and also needs a good coordinator. The overall placement is not good.
Infrastructure: Yes, there are many facilities and good classroom and there is AC in the classroom. Wi-Fi and coolers are available for students, and good Wi-Fi speed are available. The hostel facility are also very good with Wi-Fi, etc. The available food quality are also very good.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful for students and provide good material and good teaching things for them. Overall, there is a good curriculum for exams and good facilities for exam preparation. There are no difficulties for exams or anything else.
Other: The campus is excellent and memorable; it is also beautiful.

Review of B.Tech at Assam University, Silchar.
Placements: Placement opportunities are very poor at Assam University, Silchar. The T&P is also not very active. Companies rarely visit our campus for recruitment purposes. Most students get placed off campus. The same condition is with the internship also; however, CSE and AE provide internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. The classrooms are spacious and can accommodate a total of 50–60 students. The labs are not so well equipped with the latest equipment. Sometimes basic equipment is also not working. Hostels are good but the food quality is very poor.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified with Ph.D. degrees. But the teaching quality is average and they are also not very helpful. The course curriculum is as per AICTE norms but in the case of elective subjects, only one subject has to be chosen by all due to a shortage of faculty members.
Other: The authority is very much lazy and every task gets delayed here. The campus life is also average, with very few fests happening on campus.

It is a very good college for average students.
Placements: Almost 75% of students got placed in our course. The average salary package offered ranges between 3.4 LPA - 4.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microchip, Byju's, Cadence, IBM, BSNL, Wipro, and Paytm.
Infrastructure: Our department is very good. All labs are modern. Classrooms are good and have air conditioners, lights, digital boards, etc. Wi-Fi is available on campus. The library is good. It has all books. A health center is available in our college. We can play sports in our college like cricket, football, table tennis, badminton, etc. Our college has many departments. The infrastructure of our college is average.
Faculty: All teachers are very helpful and strict. Some teachers are from NITs. They are Ph.D. holders. The pass percentage is 40%. Semester exams are not easy. Our college provides us with practical knowledge.
Other: Our college conducts an Auskriti culture fest and a Yantraksh tech fest.
