As per resources and information availaible, the initial entrance exam which is accepted by PGIMER Chandigarh for admission is INI CET. There may be a chance that NEET-PG is also conisdered for admission but INI CET is the considered for admission to majority of the courses. Other than this, PGIMER also conducts its own entrance exam for admission to various courses. So basically you have to score a good marks in NEET PG. I repeat NEET PG it isn't NEET (UG) . To get admission in PGIMER, Chandigarh, students have to check the eligibility first. Eligible students apply online. The college admits students on an entrance basis. Selected students have to go through counselling process. Final seats are offered after verification and fee payment.

The application fee for all the courses is INR 1,000 for the general category and for the SC/ST candidates it is Rs 800 (except for MD/MCh which is Rs 1000 for all the categories). PGIMER application process is completely online. All the applicants who wish to apply to any of the courses offered by PGI Chandigarh can register online and pay the fee.

Yes, it is a good college. One gets to experience a lot here. You get proper patient exposure and all the things that are not available in normal medical colleges. World-class teachers are available to solve your problems. A great learning experience is provided by the department with digital learning facilities. Exams are taken as in offline mode always no tolerance is there in any case.

PGIMER has not released the 2023 placement details yet. However, the NIRF report 2023 is out. According to the report, 40 PG (2-year) and 165 PG (3-year) students were placed during PGIMER Chandigarh placements 2022. Further, the median package offered to PG (2-year) and PG (3-year) students during 2022 placements was INR 8 LPA and INR 17 LPA, respectively.

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research eligibility is different for each programme. This depends on several factors. The basic eligibility however, is as below:

• PGIMER, Chandigarh UG eligibility - Class 12 with relevant subjects from a recognised board
• PGIMER, Chandigarh PG eligibility - Bachelor's degree in relevant field from a recognised university

PGIMER Chandigarh selects students to its MD, MS and MDS courses on the basis of the INI CET entrance exam scores, followed by its counselling rounds. For MD in Radio Diagnosis, the maximum rank required for admission was 41 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. The cutoff rank varies for different courses, rounds and categories. 

No, PGIMER, Chandigarh generally does not accept direct admissions. Students have to appear for the accepted exam.
