Well-balanced academics with great hostel and campus facilities.
Placements: Around 60% of the students in our batch got placed through campus placements. The highest package offered is around 10 LPA, while the lowest is about 3 LPA. The average package is approximately 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. Most of the roles are offered in software development, testing, and IT services.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is well-developed and supports academic as well as hostel life effective. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart boards and projectors. Wi-Fi is available across the campus with decent speed. The department has well-maintained labs with up-to-date equipment. There is a good library stocked with reference books, journals, and digital resources. Hostel facilities are satisfactory, with clean rooms and regular maintenance. The mess provides hygienic food with a decent variety, although it can be repetitive.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, supportive, and well-versed in their respective subjects. Most of the teachers explain concepts clearly and are approachable for doubts both during and after class. Teaching quality is generally good, and they often use real-world examples to enhance understanding. The curriculum is regularly updated and aligned with industry needs.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the subject, and the promising career opportunities it offers. The best part of the course is the practical exposure. We get through lab sessions, industry visits, and project work. The curriculum is designed to build both technical and analytical skills.

Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology is the last option for students to pursue B.Tech.
Placements: Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology is a well-known college in Ghaziabad, but students are not capable enough to grab placements. Only about 5% of the total students in the final year are able to grab placements. Although companies come to this college, off-campus students grab placements, which is very unfortunate for the college. The highest package is 34 LPA, but the average package is about 11 LPA.
Infrastructure: If I talk about the infrastructure, it is decent. Basic facilities are available, like the library, gym, ground, hostel, computer labs, and mechanical block. Wi-Fi is available, but only for hostel students, not for day scholars. The only thing that is the best is the admission block, which has the best AC facility. All classrooms are fully air-conditioned.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable, but you have to be responsible for daily communication with your teachers as they come and teach only. No spoon-feeding is done until you are eager to learn. The semester exams are very different from exams you give in your college. Sometimes, they make the paper easier to boost your confidence, due to which you do not study for the semester exam.
Other: My first-year experience is very good. All faculty members who taught me are very kind and knowledgeable. There is pressure from exams, but sometimes it feels like school as there is a fixed time for classes. Classes start at 9 in the morning and end at 5 in the evening, which feels like a long time for me. Now I am in my second year, and there are teachers who take care of me. Teachers only teach the syllabus, so it is student's responsibility to do all syllabus properly, as the AKTU syllabus is very large.

A glimpse of RKGIT, a life that can never be get back.
Placements: About 40% of students were placed in my IoT branch. As it was introduced for the first time in our university, some subjects were new to all of us, including the faculty members. The highest package offered was 34 LPA, which was provided by Commuvolut Bangalore, and the lowest was 3 LPA. Top recruiters for our course included TCS, DataNova, Nucleus Software, Gemini Solutions, KPMG, etc. Different roles were offered based on skills, including Front-End Developer and Mobile Application Developer, as I also worked as a Mobile Application Developer. But after all, having good skills was a must.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure of the college campus was good. Most of the classes were equipped with air conditioning, and labs were well-maintained. Wi-Fi facilities were available in some academic buildings (but not in all). As I was a day scholar, I didn’t have much knowledge about the hostel, but I sometimes used to go to the hostel, and I found the food quite good. I only went a limited number of times. One more thing was that even day scholars could take food from the mess by paying per plate.
Faculty: Teachers were qualified enough to guide us in our careers. The teaching quality was not very high. I would say it was average. The semester exams were not very difficult, as they followed similar patterns to previous exams, so we could easily pass them with some effort. The required marks to pass the end-semester exams were 30 out of 100. For internal assessment, sessionals and pre-university exams were conducted every semester.
Other: As I am talking Clearly, I had no prior knowledge of the course because it was the first time in our (AKTU) University curriculum. But I got this course through the counseling process as a fee-waiver student, so my overall fee was just Rs. 6250 per year, with an additional Rs. 7865 exam fee per year. The college conducted a fest every year in April, including celebrity nights and DJ nights. This event was organized for two days, and entry was free, but a college ID card was required. The college also organized Mata ki Chowki every Navratri.

I am satisfied with the knowledgeable and supportive faculty members.
Placements: About 60 percent of students from our course get placed. The highest, the lowest, and average salary packages are offered in our course. Top recruiting companies visit the college to hire students. It also provides internships. The top roles offered are software developer, IoT engineer, and analyst. I am not that satisfied with the placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not up to the mark, which can impact the overall experience. Improvements in facilities would greatly enhance the learning environment.
Faculty: Exams are held every second week, ensuring consistent evaluation and keeping students engaged with the course curriculum. This frequent assessment pattern helps in a better understanding of the subjects and prepares students effectively for final exams and practical applications. Faculty members are good. The course offers highly knowledgeable and supportive faculty members who ensure quality education and guidance.
Other: Fests are good but conducted once in 2 years. Fests organised are vibrant and enjoyable offering students a great platform to showcase their talents and unwind. Yet, they are held only once every two years, which limits opportunities for students to experience the cultural and extracurricular benefits more frequently.

The Infrastructure is Excellent with Very Good Facilities.
Placements: The quality of placement opportunities can vary depending on the course and individual student effort, and some students may need to actively seek additional opportunities to secure desired roles. College recruiting companies were Wipro, Infosys, HDFC Bank, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent, with very good lab facilities and a well-equipped central library (24/7 availability) with many subscriptions to various research and journal websites. The staff are very kind and friendly to us, and they are very helpful to students.
Faculty: In the year 2000, our Founder Chairman, Late Sri Raj Kumar Goel ji, laid the foundation of this premier institute with a vision to provide value-based technical education and create a congenial environment for the overall development of the students, faculty, and staff members.

Q:   How to prepare for Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology placement interviews?
A:

Most of the companies start the placement process with a pre-placement talk that describes the job profile, the company's vision and the services provided by them. Students are advised to attend the PPT for the desired company as it is the base step of preparation for that particular company. Thereafter, prepare a decent resume highlighting your skills, academic background, and extra-curricular details. The most important step of the placement interview is the test conducted by the interviewer. Students should well prepare the Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, and Quantitative Awareness topics. Alongside this, prepare the basics of the core subject, depending upon the branch they are studying in. To excel in the GD round, try to initiate first and listen carefully to the point put forward by the other members.
