B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2024
3.0
The college has strict management and outstanding infrastructure.
Placements: At our college, placement opportunities varied by stream. Students in Computer Science and Electronics streams generally received placement offers, Civil Engineering students did not. The college had tie-ups with Tata Consultancy Services and other companies. It focused on computer programming and technology, areas that were in high demand.
Infrastructure: Our college had good infrastructure. The campus had a well-maintained 10-storey building. That was kept clean by the staff. The canteen was huge, neat, and served good-quality food. The campus itself was visually appealing. It had a relaxing atmosphere. There was a library. It was large and well-stocked. They provide a wide range of books for students.
Faculty: Most teachers at our college were qualified, friendly, and held master's degrees. Some have graduated from our own institution. A few teachers were less helpful or engaging compared to others. The college maintained a decent pass rate, partly due to university policies. Backlogs were common in the B.Tech program. Teachers generally tried to help students succeed. Management was also quite strict.
Other: Only a few programs were held here. The Techno-Cultural Fest ITIHA and the arts fest Zerron took place annually. These events were major highlights of college life. All students participated to make it a grand event, but it was a bit expensive. Aside from these events, the campus life did not feel very vibrant. The campus had more of an office-like atmosphere, lacking the typical college vibe.

Review of RIET - Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Civil stream students do not get placement in our college. Computer and electronics stream students get placement in our college. It has tie-ups with Tata Consultancy Services and other computer programming related companies, which have a huge demand right now.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. It has a ten storey building with an elevator. It is kept clean by the non-teaching staff members. The canteen is huge and neat. The quality of food served is great.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good and friendly except for some teachers. They are qualified with a masters degree. Some teachers did masters from our college only. However, the pass percentage is pretty low, and the university also plays a role in that. It is known for making exams harder, and also its valuation.
Other: You will not get an amazing campus life. It looks like an office, and I do not have that college type of feel in it.

Our college provides good infrastructure.
Placements: Less than 1% of the students got placements. The management displays names of many companies visiting the campus in the advertisements, but they all were fake. Few known companies came to our college. Around 2 students got placements in TCS.
Infrastructure: The entire campus was fully covered with high-speed Jio Wi-Fi. We had air-conditioned computer labs. All classrooms were smart. There were air-conditioned mini theaters and conference halls. A smart library was also present. A five-star canteen was available on campus with a heavy price for all items. The food served was fine. The medical facility was comparatively less. There was no space for sports and games on the campus. Students arranged grounds outside the campus with their own money to conduct some tournaments.
Faculty: Teachers and friends were the things I love about our campus. Teachers were very helpful, loving, and highly qualified too. They did their job very well. The course curriculum was relevant. During our course duration, the pass percentage was above 50%. semester exams were tough.
Other: I chose this course because civil engineering has good future. We had good infrastructure buildings. There was not much crowd and no place to sit around, and we did not have any refreshment areas. The management charged money for everything. They charged money from students as a fine without any reason. You won't even get a 50% of caution deposit after the course completion.

Overall, this is a well known professional college with lots of facilities to study.
Placements: The placement opportunities for the civil engineering students are not well there. But, the placements for other branches like computer science, electronics, electrical, etc. There were certain programs conducted on the basis of placements and also placement training classes are providing for the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is superior to all other colleges in Kerala. The main attraction for the students and parents is the architectural beauty of the building. There are 2 separate hostels for men and women and also 3 mess halls for a whole.
Faculty: The good knowledgeable faculty are there in our college. Our college is placed in top 10 in the overall rank list of our university. All the faculty here have the master degrees. And, the hod's are retired from well-known posts. The main success is the 3-tier series test before the arrival of the main examination.

The best college for studying, not for placement!
Placements: There were not many placements from my college. The only students who were recruited were for BPO jobs. I haven't got any job till today. I have 6.5 CGPA. I told my staff about my condition of not having a job and they aren't helping at all. The placement section is very poor. But they too are helpless regarding the situation.
Infrastructure: Very good facilities. For someone who wants to learn, I would say this is a good college. The transportation facility, food, and accommodation are the best in the city as far as I know. When I passed out, there was a new block separately on construction for the mechanical lab alone. So I think infrastructure is up to the mark. When compared to other colleges in the city, this is the best you can get.
Faculty: Except the computer lab faculty, all members are very helpful. There is a small ego clash between the staff members of the department. But overall, the staff and faculty are very friendly. Especially the canteen staff will make a variety of food depending upon our demands. The fest, the cultural events and all are super awesome. Once you get the things sanctioned, it's very good. There have been like 3-4 changes of people for the position of principal. There is a feedback issue which the college is not taking.
Other: If all that you want is a bachelor's degree, come here to study. But once you finish the course, placement in good companies is not at all guaranteed. Then you will have to work by yourself. The college can get you a job, but that may not be in your field. It will only be for the namesake.

It has good infrastructure but the worst college.
Placements: Not a single person gets placed in our college. They offer a package with a high fee structure even for meritorious students. There is Asianet and other recruiting companies, but only a small number of MBA students are getting placed. Almost all students have to go to internships to achieve 100 activity points. Internships are provided by Habitat Group Trivandrum, Marymatha Constructions Private Limited Ernakulam, etc.
Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure is so good that everyone, including me, who joined the college is impressed by the facilities, like labs, classrooms, a library, toilets, etc. The food items they provide are also good. Most of the time, the hotel management students in our college prepare the food, and it's so tasty.
Faculty: After COVID-19, most of the experienced teachers resigned and moved out for other jobs, and now we are taught by the pass-out M.Tech students in our college. They have no experience, and we don't understand a word. Civil engineers have a promising future if they use their abilities wisely. But the teachers didn't know how to shape us as engineers. We are under KTU (Kalam Technological University). The semester exams are not so difficult. But they didn't give marks as they wanted revaluation fees and supplementary fees. I am in my 3rd year, and as of now, the pass percentage in our class is 29%. I don't know if this will improve or not. I hope it does!
Other: I chose this career so that I could find a good job and help my parents with my salary. Improved instruction and training can improve the teaching way and make it more understandable. Extracurricular activities like Tech Fest are mainly carried out by students, so it's the best.
