Pretty chill first year. Hopefully more beautiful second and third year.
Placements: RKMVCC Rahara is not really about placements and all the hustle, its more geared towards the folks who are seriously interested in studying core science especially physics. Like if you are someone who actually enjoys solving problems and is fascinated by something this place is perfect. As far as the first-year internships go, everyone who applied got somewhere.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty good. Quality of mess food is just above average, and Wi-Fi is decent. Sports culture is also there but not much focused on other than an annual competition. Classrooms are good. Library is strict but almost all books are there. The quality of lab is not top notch but still improving. But way better than other WBSU colleges.
Faculty: Teachers and lectures are the best part, honestly. Evenly spaced out well structured and the practicals are also good compared to other WBSU colleges. The semester exams are close to a competitive level. Pass percentage is about 80%. It is a 5/5 experience. The external examiners are also pretty good.
Other: One of the best parts of our college is the dog that stays here.

A national research centre, Naac accredited with grade A, NIRF-8th all over india.
Placements: Generally, most of the students prepare for the JAM examination, and they get selected; the rest of the students get placements. Placements are provided by the HR department and Texas. Many students get a chance at summer internships held by IIT and NIIT.
Infrastructure: Smart class helps to understand the concept visually as well as theoretically. With advanced labs and better lab equipment, almost all equipment is available for experiments. Free Wi-Fi available in common hall, Advanced library with nearly all books required for course. Good and hygiene-friendly food is available in the canteen.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful and highly educated. They are always available to help you with your doubts. They always make you understand everything, wherever you face problems. Courses are designed to keep pace with this digital era. Semester exams are quite difficult due to our excellence in the required field.
Other: Regular seminars are held for better knowledge. You can get high in the research field; after all, practical knowledge is everything, and you are getting the chance to perform experiments by yourself.

Good college with good teachers. Best for research base building.
Placements: Placements in companies and jobs are rare but a large number of students crack IIT JAM and TIFR. My department has a good connection with big colleges all over India. Maximum of our seniors are studying in top colleges of India.
Infrastructure: Great infrastructure in labs with best teachers. Computer in the labs are in best conditions. The lab technicians are very helpful. Wi-Fi access is free and gives a great speed. Canteen is well maintained but the quality of food needs to be upheld.
Faculty: Best teachers in the department have degrees from the best colleges in Kolkata. Even many completed their Ph.D. from big university under the best physics faculty members. Few teachers have their unique teaching style that helps in a better understanding of concepts. Teachers are even my favourite.

In a nutshell this college is great and I'm glad that I studied in it.
Placements: As this college is not an engineering college so students do not get directly placed into companies. But companies like TCS or Wipro have offered jobs to the students of our college for trainees. And many students have acquired good jobs from all around the world from this college.
Infrastructure: This college is not a residential college, which means that they do not have a hostel facility of their own but students from distant places come to this college and stay in the messes nearby. The college has 2 buildings as of now and a new building is being constructed. The laboratories are well-equipped with instruments and machines. The library has a huge collection of books from all around the world.
Faculty: I am a student of B.Sc. Physics Hons and the faculty are pretty good. The professors are very helpful and friendly. The college is an autonomous one that follows its curriculum based on the UGC syllabus. There is a mid-semester exam and an end semester exam each semester. The college has an admission test for the students who are willing to enrol themselves on the college. You will have to appear in the exam and score good marks. The merit list will be created based on the marks you obtained in the admission test and your 12th marks.
Other: Every year many students get a good ranking in competitive exams like JAM, and JEST. In my batch (pass out the year 2022) 2 students had an all India rank below 100 (25 and 47) in JAM and All India Rank 3 and 5 in JEST were also from my batch (I was a Physics Hons student). One thing which I think is a disadvantage is that you won't get a lot of chance for activities other than studying.

I am satisfied to be a student of this college.
Placements: This college offers graduation and post-graduation courses, but there are no placements. It gives us a great opportunity to go for higher study abroad and in IITs. Many of my batchmates got into government services, and many were selected for IITs.
Infrastructure: There are no hostel facilities for students. However, the canteen is good. The classrooms have good seating arrangements, and the giant blackboard is helpful to understand complex equations. Our physics lab is well-equipped with all the necessary instruments required to complete practicals.
Faculty: The faculty members in our college are knowledgeable and very helpful in clearing our doubts. I spent the most precious time of my life in this college, for 3 years. It is very easy to clear the semester exams if anyone follows lectures every day. The pass percentage is very low, and it is 35%.
Other: The college is very enthusiastic about fests and events. Character developing and career-oriented workshops are organised here. A scholarship is approved for each student, which is very helpful in pursuing college studies and expenses. The surroundings of the college are clean and greenery with trees.
