It is a good college in West Bengal.
Placements: There is no specific percentage of placement for this course in our college, but many of our seniors have been placed at top companies. The highest package offered was around INR 6 LPA, the lowest was INR 3.2 LPA, and the average package offered was INR 5 LPA in our course. However, most students or my batchmates prefer to pursue higher studies. 50 to 60% of students got internships from this course.
Infrastructure: Here, Wi-Fi facilities are available, well-equipped labs, and classrooms are also in good condition. The library is the best. Hostel facilities are good, and Wi-Fi is available there as well. The mess and canteen provide food at any time, but the quality is quite good. We have a free pass for the hospital, but this is only for students, and the hospital is located inside our campus. Sports and games are also available.
Faculty: All our faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Currently, we have 8 associate professors and 4 or 5 guest professors. All faculty members are very helpful and always assist us. The curriculum covers relevant topics such as nuclear and particle physics, statistical physics, optics, and weaves. This is a 6-semester course. In our college, the semester exams have a high standard, and most students score around 8 SGPA.

Best college for science students.
Placements: Placement is not very effective for general course students. Most of our seniors went for higher education. Many got jobs through their own efforts. But the education provided is of high quality, along with the best academic facilities. Join unhesitantly, if you wish.
Infrastructure: Excellent infrastructure, both in the college and hostel. We have Wi-Fi on campus and technologically updated classrooms. Well-decked labs and enriched libraries are an added advantage. Also, tasty and nutritious food is available at the hostel and canteen.
Faculty: Our college strictly follows a well-planned and integrated curriculum. The teachers are helpful. They follow regular text books while prioritising practical training. We also attend various seminars and workshops to boost our subject knowledge.

I am satisfied with this institution.
Placements: As this is a degree college, the number of placements is low. However, our college's placement cell has forwarded a link of placement from TCS. If we consider the higher study fields as a placement then our college students get a high number of placements. Because most of the passed out students got IIT, IISER, NISER, TIFR, and Central Universities.
Infrastructure: This college has a sufficient number of classrooms. Labs are well-equipped. Separate labs are available for UG, PG, and research scholars. We have a good library with all required books and journals with a decent number of copies. We can borrow books from the library in short term basis as well as long-term basis. The short term basis is of 14 days and the long-term is for the whole semester. We can check out books online. We can avail e-books from list-library. We have an e-library with almost 100 computers with good speed internet connectivity. We get so many facilities in our hostel. Each student gets a separate bed, study table, and chair. A student can study in the study hall as well. We get a variety of foods. Food quality is fine. We have a hospital named "Arogya Bhavana " on our campus where doctors come regularly. An ill student can take medicines from there. There are 3 big grounds on our campus where one can play cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, etc. One can play carrom, table tennis in the common rooms of the hostels.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. They are much helpful and knowledgeable. Some of them have done brilliant jobs in their research field in India and outside India as well. As this is a B.Sc course, it may not make a student industry-ready. But the college makes the student ready for their future research fields. The question papers level of the semester exams is moderate. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this college because I want to learn physics and want to pursue research in it. This college is one of the best colleges in West Bengal for basic science. I can say about our seniors i.e, passing out batch this year. Most of them get admission to the prestigious institutes of India. Some of them are in ITT, some are pursuing integrated Ph.D. and some are in central universities. I wish it would be better if they provide more campus placement if possible for B.Sc. The college has a big auditorium where cultural programs are organised. Annual sports, inter-department cricket, and football tournaments are organised every year. Students get Inspire, SVMCM, OASIS, and many other scholarships. The college also provides scholarships to the needy. We do NSS or NCC as a part of extracurricular activities.

It has a good infrastructure with a fresh environment, which is ideal for studies.
Placements: It is a general degree college that prepares students mainly for higher education. Campus placements are not conducted as many companies don't generally recruit B.Sc pass-out students. Still, all the students in all the streams go for further higher studies. From science branches, many students get into IISc, IIT, TIFR, BHU, JNU, etc., for pursuing masters.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is one of the best in West Bengal. It has a neat and clean environment with fresh air, which makes the college time refreshing. There is a newly constructed research and administrative building with a state-of-the-art auditorium, seminar rooms, research labs, which makes the college with top-level infrastructure. Our college building has Wi-Fi facilities and a computer room which remains open 12 hours a day. The library has a very good collection of books. Hostel rooms are spacious, and cleanliness is properly taken care of on the whole campus. The food quality is definitely better than any other hostel in the region.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are highly helpful and highly qualified. Our course has many faculty members who have a very good history of research careers in top institutes of the world. The course curriculum is similar to UGC prescribed curriculum with minor modifications, which is helpful for higher education. Exams are very standard, and more than 98% of the students pass on the first attempt.
Other: I have chosen this course because the physics department of RKMRC has a good reputation for creating a large number of top research scholars in the country. Hence it is a highly demanding college for students who like physics. Smartphones are not allowed on the campus, but laptops are allowed, which fulfil the need for technology. Many events are conducted throughout the year, and the college also undertakes various welfare works for the local community members where any student can participate voluntarily. Almost 90% of the students receive government scholarships, and the rest receive scholarships from the college if they need them.

A college with academic excellence and a second home to its students.
Placements: The course I completed, was not a professional course. You may not get direct job for completing the course. But, you can get a proper placement after the course. It will help you to get a degree and You can apply any suitable sector with that degree. You can also choose academic line for higher studies.
Infrastructure: The college is quite ultra-modern from the view of infrastructure. The college has a main building and an annex building. There are up-to-date laboratories of Science subjects. There are two E-libraries, several E-classrooms, wi-fi everywhere and a big play-ground.
Faculty: The faculty is quite good. The teachers are qualified and student-friendly. They guide us for All-India based examinations. They are available always outside the class. The course curriculum is really relevant. One can get many opportunities after completing the course.
Other: I chose this course as I had enthusiasm to study physics. The best thing about this course is that, you have many opportunities: you can choose academic line for higher-study or you can apply for job lines. 65% of students of our batch received scholarship during this course. Our department organizes a departmental fest "Science-Phi" every year. And specially, this college is residential and have quite good hostel facilities. The campus surroundings are soothing and green and eye-strucking. More to add, our college is well-known for its extra-curricular activities like football, cricket, blood-donation camp, NCC and many more. Overall, this college offers you a suitable environment to accommodate.

Ramakrishna Mission Residential College- A good college.
Placements: As the course is not a professional course there is very little chance you can get a placement after completion. But the college authority arranges a campusing where previous year L&T and TCS participated. But you can be assured that if you study well the syllabus and guidance is enough to get you into an IIT. Authority has an agreement with internshala.com where you can do your internships.
Infrastructure: 1. The department has qualified and caring faculty members. You can also contact them after the class for better clarification of any topic.
2. The labs are well-equipped because the college doesn't depend completely on government funding.
3. Classrooms are not crowded so the teachers can pay attention to the students individually.
4. There is limited Wi-Fi facilities.
5. You can use the e-reading room where you can access internet, use computers and print study materials freely. There are almost 100 computers there.
6. The library is full of necessary books. At the start of each semester you can borrow books for long term and return it after semester examination. You can also borrow books for short terms. So basically you may have not to buy any book for an entire semester!
7. The hostel facility is very good and fees are low. They serve very good quality foods 4 times a day (breakfast, lunch, afternoon meal and dinner). There are options for both veg and non-veg meals.
8. As the college is a residential college you must have to stay in hostel.
Faculty: 1. The teachers are qualified and helpful. After the class, you can discuss any topic for better clarification and they will help you.
2. The teaching quality is good as the number of students is not much in every class so the teachers can pay attention to every student individually.
3. The course curriculum is very relevant because the curriculum is prepared to focus on master's degree entrance examinations in IITs, TIFR and other institutions through JAM, JEST, etc.
Other: 1. I chose the course because I had a passion for the subject. In this course, you have a greater opportunity to build your research-based career.
2. Though it is not a professional course but hope authority will give effort on job campusing.
3. There are scholarships for meritorious but needy students. If you are a good student you can easily get concession on fees. If someone is too needy he can achieve a 100% concession on fees.
4. There are lots of extracurricular activities. There is an annual sports event, inter hostel drama competition (which also attracts media attention), inter hostel and inter departmental wall magazine competition. Each department individually organizes inter-college quiz, paper presentation and seminars. There is also an annual art and culture competition. An annual magazine 'ABHIH' publishes.

Review of Ramakrishna Mission Residential College.
Placements: The college will not provide placements for physics students, but they can have a better chance to qualify JAM and JEST exams to pursue M.Sc., and that will ensure you a great deal of the university. This will also help them for further placements. If you want a good future, this is one of the best colleges in West Bengal. There is no placement cell in this college. Almost 85% of the students in this college receive scholarships of worth Rs.60,000 per year until the completion of their M.Sc. You can get it if you score 60% marks every year.
Infrastructure: This is a residential college. You have to stay in hostel no matter how close or far you live from the college. There is no Wi-Fi facility either on the campus or hostel. Students are not allowed to use laptops in the hostel. The physics lab is excellent, and so are the other labs. Faculty members are very helpful, and they will clear the doubts of students in the lunch break and also after the college hours. There are 2 libraries on the campus, one is the college library, and the other is the central library. They both have a huge stock of books which are very helpful for academics. You can issue books from both the libraries. The college provides good medical facilities, and it has tie-ups with 2 biggest nursing homes nearby. The college has a large stadium to play cricket, football and basketball. They also conduct competitions for students. The college provides indoor games facilities like tennis, caroms etc. They are a treat to play. Classrooms are not air-conditioned. Quality of food in the canteen is not good, but you can get good food outside the campus. Hostel rooms are very small, and each room is allotted to 4 students. You will get habituated and make a good friendship with your roommates. The washrooms are clean, and students get no health issues on this campus. Lighting facilities are not available in the hostel rooms after 11 pm. So, the students have to buy a table lamp on their own. The hostel has several study rooms with lighting facilities 24*7. Quality of food provided in the hostel mess is not up to the mark, and you have to buy some dishes on your own.
Faculty: The faculty members are good and helpful. Students can talk to them at any time in person or over the phone. They clear the doubts if you have any. The course curriculum mainly helps the students to get good marks in entrance exams to pursue M.Sc in IITs, IISER and central universities. There is a subject called Indian culture, which we see only in mission schools. Our department has 10 professors, and 30 students in every batch. There are also 3-5 non-teaching faculty, and they are very helpful.
Other: The college doesn't organise any events and fests, and this is very disappointing. The campus crowd is low, but the students are very friendly. The first 3 months were hectic for me, as we have to wake up at 5:30 am and attend the prayer wearing dhoti. This is done only for one year. Students get used to it, and they also miss it after the 1st year. There is a small mall outside the campus with including INOX. Students can have refreshment.

This is one of the best college for statistics, chemistry, maths, and computer science students.
Placements: As a student, I can tell you that all the staff here are government employees except the authorities of Ramakrishna Mission. Every year, maximum students get into IITs through JAM for pursuing M.Sc. A few students also go for TIFR, IISc, and IISER. Overall, all the students get into excellent institutes for pursuing M.Sc.
Infrastructure: Library and reading room facilities are available here. Every student can access the computers (HP) operated with Linux OS and free Jio Wi-Fi. The library catalogue is also available on the official website of the college. There are national level labs for every department. Beside this, there are suitable classrooms with enough tubelights and fans.
Faculty: The departments of statistics, maths, chemistry and computer have excellent, knowledgeable, and qualified teachers. All of them use student-friendly study material. Every department has an average of 25 students per year. Every department has 7 to 10 teachers including the guest faculty members.
