Review of Academy of Technology (IIT Adisaptagram).
Placements: So, the current batch of passed students is mostly placed. Almost all of the eligible students are placed, but the package is not that high. The lowest package is around 2.25 LPA, and the highest is 9 LPA, with only a few students getting it. The average package is around 3.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS and Cognizant. If internships are your priority, the college doesn't focus on providing internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the campus is beautiful. Classrooms are clean and spacious. Labs are well-equipped with components and AC. Although there is no Wi-Fi for regular students, Wi-Fi is available for hostel students in the hostel only. The hostel food is not that good, but other facilities are good, like playing areas and activities.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are good and knowledgeable, but not all. Although this is an engineering college, a student alone has to do most of their skill building. Semester exams are a bit tough in my opinion. Around 70% of the students pass the semester exams.
Other: I chose this course because I want to get a job. I guess I will be getting it. If you are here, I advise you to have a lot of fun in your first year because that is the best time for an engineering student to have fun. Try to be serious from your second year, and you'll have a great college life with a job at the end. The annual cultural fest Arcadia and the tech fest are also held here once a year.

It is value-for-money college for studies.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in this course is around 98 percent. The highest package is around 28 LPA. The average package is around 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies that visit our college include TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, and EY. Around 80 percent of students get internships.
Infrastructure: All facilities are well maintained and work in very good condition. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library are all air-conditioned. Quality of facilities in the hostel is also very good compared to other colleges.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is much better compared to previous years. The course curriculum is also very relevant. Teachers help students prepare for semester exams by providing modules and previous years' question papers.
Other: I chose this course because it has a bright future. Best things that it not only gives us knowledge and teaches us what we learn. It also helps us engage in other activities.

Academy of Technology: Inside view.
Placements: If you study and get good grades, the college provides decent job placements. Companies like TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, and HCL hire students from here. The highest salary package offered is between 22 LPA and 24 LPA. Since I'm M.A. first-year student, I haven't had any internship opportunities yet, but some seniors have managed to get internships.
Infrastructure: The classrooms of the college are good and modern. All the laboratories are fully equipped with equipment for different field of study. The library is well-stocked with books across all the disciplines. Also, there are some sports facilities such as cricket, badminton, volleyball, basketball, and football. The canteen of the college serves good food at affordable prices.
Faculty: Almost all professors have Ph. D.s in their respective fields. Professors are approachable and available during office hours after classes to enhance your learning experience. The course curriculum of the course is old and doesn't provide industry-level skills. There are some internal examinations for both theory and lab classes. Apart from that, there are semester examinations for both theory and lab. The difficult level of internal exams will be appropriate for the course level and not overly challenging or too easy. But for the semester examination conducted by the university, it is a bit tougher.
Other: I chose this course because it has strong career opportunities with a high chance of getting employed. Since this field is in great demand, there are plenty of job opening available. There is lot of need to improve or update the curriculum and syllabus of the course. TechFiesta and Arcadia are two major fests of the college.

Great infrastructure and campus life with strong placements, but scope for curriculum upgrade.
Placements: The average placement in the Academy of Technology is 4 LPA, and the highest placement package for this year is 23 LPA. The highest recruiters of the Academy of Technology are TCS. In 2023, the Academy of Technology achieved a 143% placement offer rate, indicating that many students receive multiple job offers.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled with 530 Mbps through optical fibers. Academy of Technology houses 32 spacious classrooms, tutorial rooms, and seminar halls equipped with audio-visual and digital teaching aids. In general, AOT has great infrastructure and facilities.
Faculty: AOT boasts a team of 129 qualified and experienced faculty members, adhering to the AICTE student-teacher ratio. Faculty members of our college are highly qualified, coming from IITs and some renowned universities. They are very helpful. The curriculum at AOT is industry-oriented, with a focus on emerging technologies.
Other: I chose my course due to the academy's reputation for strong academics and placement opportunities.

AOT college review - 2025.
Placements: The college allows students who meet the minimum eligibility criteria of the given companies to sit for campus placements. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, IBS Software, TISMO, and Godrej visit the college campus every year. The average package is 3.7 LPA. The highest salary is 9 LPA. The lowest package offered was 3 LPA in 2024. The college doesn't provide internships to the students directly.
Infrastructure: College has equipped and modern laboratories having air-conditioners and Wi-Fi. The college hostel is well-maintained. The food provided in the mess is decent. Students can also take part in multiple sports. Medical facilities and ambulances are also present on the campus. The college canteen also runs during college hours providing quality food at an affordable price.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members of the college are IIT and NIT graduates having a Ph.D. in their domain and are very helpful. The curriculum is based on the latest AICTE curriculum which makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult. Students must get above 5 CGPA, and have no backlogs to pass the semester examinations.
Other: The CSE curriculum tends to match with the latest IT boom in the country. The curriculum can be made better if more of the latest domains are included in the syllabus. College also holds a cultural fest named Arcadia and a tech fest named Techfiesta. There are also multiple clubs and students' chapters in the college. Various scholarships can also be availed based on the eligibility of the students.

Academy of Technology Reality Check
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our college is around 80% and if I talk about the average package, it was 3 Lacs per annum, and the highest was 15 Lacs per annum (on-campus) and 45 Lacs (off-campus). There are no top recruiting companies that come to our college, but mass recruiting companies like TCS, COGNIZANT, CAPGEMINI, TECH MAHINDRA, etc., do visit.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. It is situated in the Hooghly district, in a village named Adisaptagram, and the campus is around 12 acres. Labs and classrooms are well-furnished as well as clean. This place is heaven for nature lovers. In our college, there is no cafeteria-like setup; instead, we have a canteen, and the famous food is PAROTA and ghugni for 16 Rs. Sports facilities are only available for hostelers.
Faculty: Our college is affiliated with MAKAUT University. The exams that were conducted were under MAKAUT as well. If I talk about the toughness of the paper, it is not that high like IITs. The paper is of 70 marks, and 30 marks are from the internal assessments conducted by our college itself.
Other: Things would be better if our college were affiliated with a different university, and there should also be some inter-sports facilities.

Very excellent placements in the year of 2023 and 2024.
Placements: Up to 96 to 98 percent of students have been placed. The highest package was 22 lacs and the lowest was 350,000. TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, IBM, EY, Mahindra Tech, and HCL are some of the top recruiters. Almost 10% get internships, mainly in TCS and IBM. The college's placement offers have improved compared to other colleges because almost 98 percent of students have been placed.
Infrastructure: The facilities available in our college are also very good compared to other colleges. All the departments have been compared equally. The Wi-Fi, classrooms, and cyber facilities are also very good. The library's book collection has been increased, and a lot of books have been made available to students. Classrooms are also well-maintained and clean. Wi-Fi works well in the hostels, and the labs are also good. The hostel is very nice, like an apartment. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is far better than home.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also very good because the teachers explain in a way that students can understand and perform well in the examinations. All the assignments and notes provided are also of good quality.

Placements: The placement scenario at the Academy of Technology has been quite impressive over the years. Recently, a boy from our college's 2022 batch bagged a salary package of 45 LPA at Amazon India off-campus. The placement cell is very helpful. In the latest drive, a few companies visited our college, namely TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Volvo, etc. They offered a salary package of 4.5 LPA to students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our course is quite unstructured. Many things are out of scope, though there are a few things that are helpful. As the university is MAKAUT-affiliated, I think it is a major con. If we talk about the hostel, the warden is good enough. The only issue is the food, which is quite average sometimes but edible.
Faculty: Faculty members of AOT are very experienced, skillful, and talented. They help students at every edge of their study. Exams consist of 100 marks for practicals and 100 marks for theory, with mainly three papers. Papers are quite difficult as they are made by MAKAUT—God knows what they can give in the paper. Sometimes, they give questions worth 50 marks out of the syllabus.
Other: If there were some internship opportunities provided by our college, it would be better, and the attendance criteria of 75% should be removed.
