B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2028

The infrastructure is great, and even the staff is one of the best in Greater Noida.
Placements: Around 30% of placements, the highest package is around 20 lakhs. Mostly in mechanical, there aren’t too many companies, but the automobile industry is very interesting and has very high-paying jobs. The hands-on projects are the best to maintain a clean CV and resume.
Infrastructure: The college is a beauty, with everything you need. But the hostels are one of the worst, with bad food and small rooms. The food is tasteless. Trespassing is a very easy task for boys. Shops close post 11 pm. Hostel kids are usually good, but some are useless.
Faculty: Teachers are great at their work. They explain with practical examples. Exams are a bit relaxing, and you will never find your schedule hectic. Classes do have gaps. The infrastructure is good for a walk and to sit with friends. Almost every corner has a shop.

Faculty is good, placements are good, infrastructure is better.
Placements: The lowest packages were 3 Lacs and the highest package was around 10 to 15 Lacs. 70% of the students got internships from our course. The placement percentage of the students in the course was 60%. Many companies like Mahindra and many others.
Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure available in our university are good. For example, Wi-Fi is good, classrooms are good, and the teachers are very helpful. The library is one of the best on campus. Hostel food provided by the mess is good. Medical facilities are great. The university holds tournaments in various sports and has good teams for sporting events.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable in their corresponding fields. All the teachers that are teaching have PhDs or are pursuing PhDs in their corresponding fields. The course curriculum is relevant. They are teaching us many software tools to make us industry-ready. There are many clubs that we can join to boost our chances of getting into the industry. The seniors are helpful. The semester exams are not that difficult in our college. In simple words, if you study, you pass the exams—that’s all there is to it.
Other: I chose this course because I like machines and building new machines, and I like designing the machines and the problem-solving that comes with it. There are not many things to improve in our course. Many times, it’s just about the timing of the classes, more or less. They give us lab time and some freedom to work on the projects that we want to do after getting permission from the facilities. There are events in the college. The scholarships are good.

Review of School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Sharda University.
Placements: Most of the students got placed in reputed companies, with an average package of 6 LPA. Our college also provides internships in core companies of Greater Noida, where we practically enhance our knowledge and learn positive attitude. They also organise 2-3 company visits every semester.
Infrastructure: Sharda University has one of the best infrastructures among all the colleges in India. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Separate labs are available for every subject, with well-trained lab assistants. It has also got a huge library, where students can read and issue books.
Faculty: Sharda University never compromises with students' careers, so it has the best and well-qualified lecturers. They provide one mentor for every group of 5 students. They help students only not in academics but also with any problem they face in the university. Semester exams are very easy to clear, we have to attend the classes regularly.

The kind of automobile and fluidics lab they have is very rare in the area.
Placements: In my batch, around 70% of students got placed. The highest package was 6 LPA whereas the lowest was 3 LPA. Mahindra and Mahindra and Tega industries were the top recruiters. Almost 50-60% of students got internships in companies like Tata power, Tata motors, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and lab facilities present in the college are very good. All the labs are well-equipped with machinery. Wi-Fi and 24x7 backup are already present there. A group of well-maintained hostel equipped with a number of facilities like gym, playground, Nescafe, CCD, Sagar Ratna reading rooms are present. The mess food is very good and contains items for students from all over India or even abroad. Special hostels for NRI and foreign students. A very big hospital with free medical facilities is available for students as well as faculty members. The medical facilities are the best in the area. Different kinds of playground including courts for Basketball, TT, Volleyball, Football, Tennis and cricket are present in the campus and is maintained nicely by the admin.
Faculty: Highly qualified professors mostly from the premier tier-1 colleges teach the student in a very efficient and effective manner using different practical methodologies. The course curriculum adheres strictly with AICTE and UGC approved curriculum. This help students crack any placement or competitive exam they are appearing for and also the highly interactive labs make them industry ready.
Other: Mechanical engineering has produced the best results in the campus. The kind of automobile and fluidics lab they have is very rare in the area. The faculty to student ratio is also very good that helps students to get better guidance in their studies and annual projects. The annual fest chorus is the best student fest I have ever seen. Every year top most celebrities of each field visits campus in the fest to perform or to judge Shows like fashion show, nukkad natak, Dance competitions etc. Like every other institution, Sharda also needs some improvement. There should be more foreign guest lectures and tie ups in the field so that students can have better exposure to the world.

College is good but placements are not good.
Placements: Students got placed but not in core companies of our branch, most of them got placed in the sales company. We didn't get the chance for the core mechanical companies. Our college didn't give us that much chances to opt core mechanical companies they always tend us to sit in the placement of sales companies, they just wanted to show that they provide placements, but they only want to show good placement record of the college.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good, infrastructure is good. Quality of teachers are good. But placements is not good they will tell you to give interview in sales companies. Hostels are good. Food provided was also good, canteen is okay. Medical facility is very good because the hospital is inside the campus. Sport and games facilities are good.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, well qualified, there teaching quality was good. Yes, this course curriculum was relevant, yes it makes students industry ready it will teach us about how the machines work and how we can make life of human easier. Teaching quality was very good and teachers are good but not all the teachers.
Other: I chose this course because I love to work with machines. I was very curious about how the machine works.

Satisfied with the course content, faculty and facilities in the campus, but placements can be done.
Placements: On an average about 40% students GOT placed, with packages ranging from 2LPA to 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies included TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Maruti Suzuki, JBM. Internships were not offered from college, students applied for internships on their own.
Infrastructure: The campus was fully equipped with proper labs for machining, automobiles, fabrication with state of the art equipments and guiding instructor's. All hostels are well maintained with all amenities and the latest facilities, food is good, and medical facilities include the in campus hospital.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified from top institutes, and are knowledgeable with the course subjects, teaching methods with the latest technologies are used with practical implementation for better understanding. Course curriculum is perfectly aligned and balanced.

You can join this college if you want to spend 3-4 years here. Join here only at your own risk.
Placements: Most of us know that placements are poor for mechanical students in all the colleges. When I was in Sharda University, only 1-2 companies visited the campus for placements. Even the core companies are hiring the students for customer service profiles. If someone is looking for an IT job after doing mechanical, they may get placed quite easily. I would rate 0.5 out of 5 for its placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is well maintained and structured. The departments will charge fines for every small mistake of students. There are clean surroundings, and we have proper ventilation as there are centrally air-conditioned lobbies and classrooms. Talking about cafeteria and restaurants, they look like a mall, but every big outlet is available in the complex like CCD, Sagar Ratna, Starbucks, Domino's, Coca-cola etc. Hostel and medical facility are outstanding since Sharda Hospital is located within the campus. I would rate 5 out of 5 for its infrastructure.
Faculty: Teaching methodology and faculty of the college are as good as its infrastructure. But I saw a few biased teachers who were helping the students according to the states they belong as there were some scenarios like professors from Assam are being helpful and cooperative only for the students who belong to Assam. A few teachers were outstanding, and some were very poor. Industrial exposure is almost nil in this college.
Other: Since many students from different places in the world study at Sharda University, you can easily see foreign students all around. The Wi-Fi connectivity provided by the college is excellent.

An excellent campus with the best faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: The placements of the college are good for our batch. The placement opportunities for the students of the mechanical branch were not good because most of the companies that visited our campus are related to IT industry. Only 3-4 MNCs have visited our campus to hire the students of the mechanical engineering department. The college provides internship opportunities to the students who are good at studies. Around 40% of the students were offered internships from the university. There is a placement cell to take care of all the placement process. The average salary package offered was around 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus is spread over 65 acres of land. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Labs in the mechanical department are well-maintained. Yearly programmes are well-organised. They provide a separate ground for cricket, basketball, etc. The college provides a gym facility. The college has its shopping complex on the campus which is under construction by the time we left the college. Security of the college is good. Different cafeterias and hostels are available. A hygienic mess is available on the campus. The infrastructure of the college is awesome, and I just loved it.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, and they are available at any time. They conduct a separate session for clearing the doubts of the students. The college organises industrial visits at least once a month. We have visited different industries like Yamaha, Honda, and Maruti, etc. The student to faculty ratio is around 10:1. The university offers approximately 260 courses.
Other: The college organises events regularly on the campus. Campus crowd is very decent and well-organised. The campus is smoking free, and it is under CCTV surveillance. The university provides scholarships to students who are economically backward.
