B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2023
4.2
My College Journey: Academics, College Life, and Beyond.
Placements: In my batch, placement record was good, about 75% of students got placed in reputed companies. Top recruiting companies were TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Honeywell. The roles offered to them were in development, data analyst, GET role, trainee role, support, etc. The highest package was 45 LPA in Amazon, and the lowest was 3.25 LPA in TCS. Overall, there was a good placement in 2023 for my college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was very good. Our college was spread in about 4 acres. Some departments were having old buildings, and some were new. The production and civil department buildings were old, while others were newly developed. Each department had Wi-Fi, drinking water, good classrooms, and projectors. The central library was there for college students, also a reading hall. The hostel was pretty good and posh; the hostel rooms had tables, chairs, wardrobes, and Wi-Fi. Mess food was not up to the mark.
Faculty: The faculty were very supportive and knowledgeable, almost all faculty in my department were highly qualified. Everyone's teaching style was unique with passion and practical exposure. The curriculum I feel was old, it must include AI, big data, and other new things. The semester exam level was good. There were 2 exams in the semester: one was mid-sem and the other end-sem. You need above 40 marks to pass in a subject from 100 marks.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because it is a core branch. It teaches you about every aspect of technology. There were cultural, sports, tech fests, and other festival celebrations that took place in college. Security guards are present 24/7 on campus. There are so many green spaces in the college campus, it feels fresh while roaming. It was a great experience in college.

Absolutely the best college.
Placements: I chose mechanical engineering because my college has a number of instruments and good faculty. In recent years, the percentage of placements in college is 40%. Recently, companies like SYNTEX and TCS visited for internships and placements. The highest package is 18 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very nice. Buildings are fully developed, and each branch has its own building for classes and practicals. Availability of Wi-Fi is 24 hours. The classrooms are very clean and decorated. The college has 2 libraries where you can study. There are many dishes in the mess, and the hostel is beautiful.
Faculty: As my college is autonomous, internal examinations are set by our own teachers, but they are very strict, so you have to compulsorily study before and during the exams. By the way, teachers are very helpful and supportive in choosing your subjects wisely. Now, I'm in the 3rd year, and I have to choose my 2 subjects for the next semester. My teacher suggested some subjects that have a lot of advantages in my placement.
Other: I chose this course because my brother is also a mechanical engineer. As women have some reserved placements for the mechanical branch, I chose this course. I have 84 percentile in my CET exams, and I got this beautiful college. The college provided me with a scholarship of 4k in my account, and I have connected to my campus very well.

From time to time, update the syllabus and learn new skills. I gained lots of practical knowledge.
Placements: Our college placement is good. Top companies like TCS, Accenture, IBM, Raja technologies, Seimens, etc. Our college placement is around 50 to 60 percent. The average package goes up to 7 LPA, and the highest package goes up to 22 LPA, which is offered by Goldman Sachs. The roles offered include those of system engineers and data scientists.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is outstanding. Wi-Fi facilities, study labs, and a library are available daily. The hostel facilities are good, and cleanliness is maintained on a regular basis. In one room, there are three bed facilities, like a fan, study table, and boards.
Faculty: All faculty members are knowledgeable and experts in there respective subjects. All the teachers are very helpful. If you have any doubt, you can ask the faculty member; they are always ready for you. The curriculum is updated from time to time. Add up new things according to changing technology, which is helpful for students to learn new skills.
Other: When I was small, I found it very interesting to learn about machines. How they work. The better thing about the course is that the students gained lots of practical and hands-on knowledge. So this is very interesting.

Our college has a great ambiance and polite speaking staff.
Placements: A student who cleared the 7th semester is eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit the college and many students are selected and some are left. The average salary package offered by companies is 5 LPA - 6 LPA. Some small salary packages are also offered.
Infrastructure: We have facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library for any student. Hostel building has a three-storied structure and complies with standards laid down by Panjab University. It is comprised of a reading-cum-recreation room, spacious dining hall, modern kitchen, visitor-cum-warden room, besides 75 rooms for the boarders. Two-seater and three-seater rooms are allotted to students purely based on merit.
Faculty: After many career counseling, it was easy for me to choose this course. As this course has good career opportunities ahead. This course will develop your mind to the next level. The staff is quite supportive and soft-spoken. Most professors are Ph.D. qualified. The student ratio lies between 60 males and 40 females. The teaching methods of these highly qualified professors are interesting. The college takes mid sem tests and final tests. It would be easy to pass the test for those who pay attention in class.
Other: The campus has a good library. Mostly all the necessary books and the information are available. The campus has good sports ground and equipment. The classrooms are neat and well maintained and has good ventilation. Many social groups are maintained by the students.

It is an average college to take admission.
Placements: Approximately 30%-35% of the students get placed from here. Companies like TCS, HCL, etc., hire students from our college.
Infrastructure: There is a very nice infrastructure in our college and hostel. Wi-Fi facility is available all the time, and there are high-tech classrooms. A huge playground is available for sports and games. A gym is also available.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching is very helpful, and they also help to prepare for GATE examination. There is an industrial visit every year.

It is the best college for the people in Maharashtra.
Placements: Around 60% of the students got placed from our college. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college were Bosch, M&M, Tata Motors, etc. Around 40% of the students in our course got internship opportunities in companies like Triveni Turbines, SG Molding, etc. Top roles offered were production engineer, toolroom engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Every facility was available on campus. Even there was a washing machine in our hostel too. The library was huge and opened all day. Classrooms had all modern-day amenities, and the quality of food served was also up to the mark. Sports festival was held many times.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were PhD holders. They were knowledgeable persons related to engineering. The teaching quality was superior to other colleges in the league. The course curriculum was not entirely relevant. It requires some more things to become industry-ready.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interested in it since my 10th standard. I had a keen interest in mechanical things. I wish I could increase more practical knowledge in our course. The campus was very lush green and clean.

Placements for mechanical are very low but are good for CS and IT. Teachers are supportive.
Placements: For mechanical students, placements provided in the mechanical sector are very low. Our faculty members try to invite mechanical companies to our college, but students are not very much interested in them because of average salary packages. Around 5%-10% of the students can get placements, while other students try for GATE exam. Our college provides GATE preparation books for GATE aspirants in the library and also conducts guest lectures. Placements for CS and IT sector are good, and most of the students get a salary package of 3 LPA to 5 LPA. Few students get a salary package of more than 5 LPA. If students are interested in doing an internship, then almost 100% of the students can get internships. Further, if they work good in that company, then the company offers a job according to their performance.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available for all students and faculty members, and its speed is also good. Labs are maintained regularly, and the computers have good processors. Classrooms have a new touchscreen, smart LEDs with the fast internet facility. Every classroom has a projector with speakers. The library has many books which are in good condition. Every student has access to use a computer in CCF, which has very fast internet speed. In the hostel, there are washing machines and TV mounted in a block. The hostel building is newly constructed, so the rooms are very good. The food served in the mess is also good, and ovens are available in the mess. The medical facility is also available, and Ethernet cable service in every room will be available in future. For sports, there is a very maintained cricket ground, basketball, badminton and table tennis. Gym facility is also available here with new equipment. Two canteens are available with good food.
Faculty: Our teachers are always helpful and qualified from top colleges. They are knowledgeable, but not all teachers have that ability to deliver knowledge to students. So every teacher has different aspects. Students have to maintain 75% attendance as it is mandatory. As our college is autonomous, it has different and new courses which will help us in future. There are different clubs in our college and competitive clubs like Supra, Baha, etc.
Other: I like my course because it is one of the best courses in engineering, and it is hard to get placements for this course. However, still, I like it.

The college is the best for students interested in core engineering branches.
Placements: The college has started offering mechanical engineering course in 2012. The placements are quite moderate compared to other branches. In 2018 batch, almost 5-7 students were placed. More than 90% of the students were offered internships. As the department has a T&P cell with enthusiastic members, more than 4 companies have visited the campus for placements this year. They offered placements for 10 students. Some more campus drives are lined up till the end of the semester. Like the previous year, this year also, almost 80-90% of the students got internships in core mechanical industries like Bosch, TATA Motors, IndiTech Valves Pvt. Ltd., Bajaj Auto Ltd., etc.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-organised infrastructure. Every department has its own laboratories. All the laboratories are well-equipped with the latest instruments where the lab assistants are well trained. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Separate hostel and mess facilities are provided for boys and girls. Both the hostel mess are managed by the students' committee. There is an E-lab and reading lab in the admin block which are open from 9 am to 11 pm. A central library is available where all the reference books are issued to students. Besides this, each department is provided with an individual departmental library. Both boys and girls hostels are well organised and provided with the best facilities like electricity and water supplies. The electricity generator is also provided on the campus for backup. There is a spacious and well-maintained sports ground for students with all facilities and courts. An SBI ATM is also present on campus for college students. There is a free gym facility provided to students with all the equipment and a trainer. A private canteen is available on campus providing good quality food.
Faculty: The college has more than 70% of PhD faculty members, and the remaining are either pursuing their PhD or have completed M.Tech. Almost all the faculty members are well experienced. The course curriculum is well managed and includes industry oriented subjects. Each semester includes an industrial visit from the third semester onwards. The final semester is for an industrial project or in-house project. Every year, a project competition is organised for second and third-year students to explore their ideas.
