Review of Siliguri Institute of Technology.

Placements: Placements are very good in our college. Around 90% of students got placed in good companies with good packages. The highest package offered was 21 LPA. For CSE students, it's a good opportunity. The minimum package offered is 4 LPA. The placement process is good and easy. Our college made it easier and supported us well.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure and facilities. It has the best laboratories and good sports facilities like badminton, football, and a cricket ground. The hostel is very well-maintained. Guards are available in the hostel. The campus is very clean and well-maintained. Food is very good.

Faculty: I'm studying B.Tech information technology, and I chose this group because I'm interested in coding and software technologies. The teaching quality is very good. The curriculum is updated and has all the new developments.

Our college provides average placements, but the faculty members are good.

Placements: Placements are not good in this college. Many top companies visit our college for recruitment. Our college also offers internships to students.

Infrastructure: We have a playground and hostel facilities. Boys' and girls' hostels are good. We have a gym and medical services. The campus has a good library with all the books available for semester exams. The campus is good.

Faculty: Faculty members are good.

Other: I chose this course because I of my interest in computer science since my childhood. Computers are required to be updated in our college. It is a government college. Many events are organised on our campus.

Our college has a good campus and great ambiance.

Placements: Around 40% of the students got placed with a reasonable package, while the others have different plans. Infosys, Adhunik Infrastructure, Byjus, etc. were the companies. Training or internship is provided by the company only for 3-4 months after graduation is completed.

Infrastructure: The lab equipment and Wi-Fi in our college are good enough. The food and lodging for the hostel students are quite good, and the food in the college is also good. Sports and games are there once a year, department-wise competition, during the fest, and all the students participate happily.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and qualified. The course curriculum is relevant and whether semester exams are tough or not is totally based on the students only. Internals are there for revision or like practice for the semester exams to make the students get prepared for the semester.

Other: Events, fests, and extracurricular activities in our college all take place during the academic session.

Faculty is good and Infrastructure is nice too.

Placements: From 7th semester, we are eligible for placement. In this college they conducted pool drive or even call some 3 to 4 companies to hire us. The highest package is 8lakh/a, the average Package is 3.7 Lacs/a. The percentage of students getting placement is 38%. Companies like BRG visit the campus for recruitment. The top role offered is of site engineer, etc. 85% students got their internship from our college to separate industrial company or government company.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available and also labs, classroom are clean and library has a lot of books. Hostels are separate for both boys and girls. Hostels are well-monitored. Hostel food is also delicious. In our college, we have grounds to play football, cricket and volleyball etc. For indoor games, our college has a big hall room where we can play those games. That's all.

Faculty: Faculty was good, every teacher is well educated and having good behaviour to all. Even they having master degrees. Faculty students ratio is 1:4. Teachers are very good at all formats. They helps us when we needed anything. They have deep knowledge of their subjects. And also their behaviour is good. Quality of their teaching is top notch. The course curriculum is relevant and also gives a visualisation of how industrial machine works. In every 6 months, there are semester examinations and the toughness of the examination was moderate to hard. Thank you.

In North Bengal, it's the best college. Management is good in behaviour. Placements are also good.

Placements: In our college, the placement rate is good, but in our civil department, the placements are not good as every year only about 5-9 students get placement offers. Remaining students have to suffer. However, in other departments, placement offers are very good, and they get 70% placements. I will give a rating of 3 stars out of 5 stars to placements because our department doesn't have good placements, but other departments have good placements.

Infrastructure: In our college, the rooms are very good with proper Wi-Fi facility and also other things. Labs are good as well, and all the instruments are available. Our college has a good canteen, and there is also a separate building for sports and extracurricular activities.

Faculty: Our teachers are very good and knowledgeable. They teach us in a way that we easily understood, and they are friendly with us. They help us with all the problems. For our lab classes, there are many instruments, so we are taught easily.

Other: Our college is the best in North Bengal. Many events are also organised in our college, and fests like Basanta Utsav and an annual programme are organised. In our college, scholarships are provided by the West Bengal government. I am a civil engineer. I have chosen this stream because, in West Bengal, this course has many opportunities for government or private sector jobs.

Smart work is the key to success.

Placements: Roles like an executive engineer, assistant engineer, supervisor, structural engineer, surveyor, marine engineer, geotechnical engineer, highway engineer, waste management engineer, draftsman, LBS, NHPC and all kinds of government and central jobs are offered for civil engineering course.

Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure and facilities are adequate, and our course is interesting and good. The hostel is fine. There is no ragging and teachers keep a check on the students. The hostel warden is strict, and the food served in the hostel is average. However, the food served in the college canteen is good, which is nice to everyone. Classrooms are big and spacious, and there are long corridors. The library is in a separate building, which is huge.

Faculty: Faculty members are interactive, frank, helpful and concerned. They have a great understanding with us, be it anything, and their preachings are very efficient. They prepare us for the upcoming world, and they also teach us time management, discipline and patience. There are separate teachers for every department.

Other: Our college has beautiful surroundings.

It is the best private college of North Bengal.

Placements: There is a lot of job opportunities in the CSE, IT and ECE streams. Students of CE and EE can get internships in the nearby government office of SJDA. The average salary package offered ranges between 6-8 LPA. The college provides placements of CSE and IT in the cities of Bangalore and Kolkata. Companies like Bosch, Microsoft, Intel, Wipro, Amazon, TCS, etc.. visit our campus for placements.

Infrastructure: The college provides good quality of the hostel. The college provides free Wi-Fi facility on the campus. The campus is insufficient for students. There are many departments like civil engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering, computer science and engineering, information technology, bachelor of business administration, bachelor of computer application, bachelor of hotel management and catering technology, mater in business administration and master of computer application. There are diploma courses in civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics and communication and computer science and engineering. Labs are well decorated with the necessary equipment. The campus is located in a very beautiful nature. It is covered by tea gardens by three sides.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very good. They are helpful. They are friendly, and they clear our every doubt.

Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in field work rather than desk jobs. We all enjoy our annual fest which is organised by the college in the month of February. The college also organises games, sports, cultural events and Bollywood nights.

The facility was average, but some teachers are really working hard to overcome that.

Placements: 3 students got placed out of 77. The percentage is very low. The highest salary was 25k/month and the lowest was 10k/month. Just one student got placed in a good company, other than that just a local company offered jobs. 3. HR Johnson is the top recruiting company, other than all local company. 4. Civil engineer and executive engineer was the roles offered. 5. The highest 3lpa and the lowest 1.2lpa was offered to our course. 6. 7 students out of 77 got internship in Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd and in OYO rooms.

Infrastructure: The facilities are average not so good not so bad, some of them really care for students. Some of them doesn't mind students at all. Infrastructure is good also. Lab is average. 10-20% instrument is still unavailable.

Faculty: Some teachers are helpful. Some teachers doesn't mind students at all, there was a sir and a MA'am who will take students phone even at 2am if the students need help. They even offer extra class in lunch break of a student is interested. Overall some teachers are really good.

Other: 1. Because except in West Bengal, Civil engineering industry is really big. Best thing about this course is site visit. 2. Need more dedicated teachers in place of a bad teacher. 3. Don't say about fest and events, college authority doesn't want to do those.
