Review for the Sinhgad College of Engineering.

Placements: Good placement record, but maximum opportunities are given to students from computer science and IT. The companies coming to the campus recruitment are mostly in the IT sector, with very few opportunities in the core sector. Students other than computer sciences branch face problems for campus selections. Students who are pursuing higher education after their bachelor's degree get very few chances, even to appear for the placement drives. The average packages offered to students are around 3.5 lakh per annum, with the highest package offered at 7 lakh per annum.

Infrastructure: The campus is spread over a wide area, with a separate building for each degree specialisation. The classrooms are huge in size and can accommodate up to 100 students at a time. The college area is equipped with Wi-Fi and the labs have almost all necessary facilities. The common library is huge and has almost all educational facilities. The medical and sports facilities are adequate.

Faculty: The faculty in the college is experienced, well qualified and have good knowledge about their subject of expertise. The teaching methods adopted by them are however conventional. The student to faculty ratio is within the acceptable range and they are available anytime for students during college hours and few even after them. The industry exposure is limited, with very few students getting that opportunity. The course curriculum followed has been set by the University of Pune, but needs major changes as it doesn't match today's industry requirements.
